Abdi Aynte spent many of his years in the early 2000s pounding the pavement in the Twin Cities, gathering stories about his community and sharing glimpses of the audacious journey many Somali-Americans undertook to earn their place in Minnesota.

Aynte is perhaps the first trained Somali journalist whose

byline appeared in Minnesota news outlets, and he exposed the often-overlooked success

stories of Minnesota’s immigrant communities while bringing non-traditional sound bites into local journalism.

Aynte was a senior fellow at the now-defunct Minnesota Independent, where he also reported on municipal politics. In 2006, he became the first to report that then newly elected U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison was going to be sworn into Congress on the Quran, the Islamic holy book.

His experience from covering Minnesota communities provided him the ability to join other media outlets, including the BBC World Service, the Voice of America and Al Jazeera English.

But now he’s doing something a bit different. On Tuesday, Aynte was appointed as Somalia’s minister of planning and international cooperation. He

is among the 20-member Cabinet picked by Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke.

In 2012, Aynte returned to Somalia’s capital Mogadishu, where he started a policy research and analysis institute, The Heritage Institute for Policy Studies, and served as the executive director.

Aynte is part of the wave of Minnesota Somali-Americans who have recently began to return to their war-ravaged homeland to help the country rise from its ruins after more than two decades of violence and anarchy.

Aynte earned a bachelor’s degree in professional writing and political science from Metropolitan State University and a master’s degree in government from Johns Hopkins University.

Hadd i i a an qaa r ka xuso waxyaabaha hadda fududeeya burburka qoyska, waa waxayaabaha wiilka iyo gabadha is damcay u fududeeya haasawaha, sida isticmaalka aalladaha lagu wada hadlo ama lagu wada xiriiro, gaadiid sahlaya kulanka iyo dhaqamo kale oo hagar daamadd ku ah kii lagu dhalay.

Markii ay is calmadeem, waxaa loo soo gudbiyaa walidiin sidii halkaa looga amba qaado dhamaystirka qoyska asaaskiisa.. Doonista gabadha waxaa uu la xeer yahay kii qarniyadii hore iyadoo wax faro badan lagu daray. Waa halkaa qoyska uu ka

bilaamo cuqdad kala qaadka iyo taa layma samayn . Sartaan dheer ayaa dabaqa ugu sareeya ladagay . Dagaalkii biloowday ma damo dhawr il mood ayaa Qir iyo Qaylo layskaga dhalaa. Ninkii oo guriga laga takhaantakhiyo iyo goob cidlo ah Ayuu ku danbayn . Wax kaxeeriya ma jiraan ciladaas . Waxaan arinkaas u sababaynayaa qoysku waxaa uu leeyahay aabbo iyo hooyo . Waa labada talladda reerku ka go’o . Waxay kala leeyihiin masuuliyad kala qeexan oo mid kasta u qeexan . Tii ayaa la soo jibaaxay oo tixgalinteedii la dayacay. Marka reerkaas waxaa imaanaysa in sarahaan

dhaadheer maluug beena ku noqon, dhibaatooyinkaan aan soo xusnay ee joogtada ahina ay carqalad aad u dhibaddan ku noqdeen Aasaaskii Qoyska .

Haddaba, waxaa horay loo yiri, “meeshii ay laba maroodi isku diriraan, caawska ayaa ku baa’ba”, marka Soomaaliyeey, Aabaha iyo Hooyada sida joogtadaha isku diriraya waxaa ku baa’ba oo dhibaatada dhabta ahi gaartaa waa carruurta, waa in aan diintii, dhaqankii iyo sidii dhabta ahayd ee Qoyska loo dhaqi jiray, guryaheena iyo bulshadeena ugu dhaqnaa.

The Honorable John F. KerrySecretary of StateU.S. Department of State2201 C Street N.W.Washington, D.C. 20520

Dear Secretary Kerry,We write to request a meeting within the next two weeks to discuss the development of an emergency

plan to address the acute shortage of lifesaving money transmission services to Somalia, and discuss how we can move toward a sustainable, longer-term framework for facilitating lawful money transfers through transparent channels.

The timing of this meeting is urgent. Last week, the largest financial institution currently providing wire transfer services to money services businesses serving Somalia notified their money services business clients that it was going to close their accounts on February 6, 2015 amid concerns that the institution is unable to adequately manage the risks associated with its remittance accounts serving countries in Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, and parts of Asia. As a result of this decision, money service businesses serving Somali-Americans say they are in the process of either closing most branches or drastically reducing the volume of remittances they are transmitting. We understand there are few practical substitute mechanisms left for transmitting remittances. Last year, according to an international NGO, more than $215 million was sent from the U.S. to Somalia, most of which was used to meet basic humanitarian needs.

Decreasing remittances will exacerbate Somalia’s humanitarian situation. Twenty-two aid organizations recently noted that about one-third of Somali families say they would not be able to afford basic food, medicines and school fees without help from their relatives abroad. Nearly all business startups in Somalia are funded by remittances, and with nearly three million Somalis already dependent on aid organizations, eliminating the ability to send money into Somalia could throw the country and its already vulnerable economy deeper into crisis.

Decreased remittances would also present greater security risks. As Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has said, cutting off money from the diaspora could significantly strengthen the appeal of terrorism and piracy for young Somali men. A disruption in remittances could reverse the limited gains that the Somali government and the international community has made to rid Somalia and the greater Horn of Africa of terrorism.

Somalis urgently need a solution. We call on the appropriate agencies, in collaboration with community and industry partners, to formulate a short-term plan to keep a remittances pipeline open, as well as a longer-term plan to provide ongoing access to money transmissions services. For example, the State Department might be able to provide temporary remittances channels through its humanitarian programs. Financial regulators could be enlisted in efforts to facilitate solutions that build on the recommendations of State and the NSC, preserving the integrity of U.S. counterterrorism and anti-money laundering efforts while keeping open remittance pipelines through private or public mechanisms. Together, banking regulators could, if necessary, then promulgate formal joint guidance. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York could use its wire transfer service to provide remittances. The World Bank -- which has done so much over the years to reduce the costs of remittances from immigrant workers in the U.S. to their family members at home -- might be enlisted to help facilitate these efforts. All of these possibilities, and other creative alternatives, should be explored to find a solution to this crisis.

To protect our national security and avoid exacerbating a humanitarian crisis, we must identify an emergency solution to prevent the disruption of remittances to Somalia. We believe it is critical that every federal agency with jurisdiction on this issue must work toward formulating a sustainable framework for remittance payments as quickly as possible. We appreciate your attention to this issue, and we hope we will be able to meet with representatives of your agencies in the coming weeks.// ATTN: The text of the letter is PDF is available.

Congressional Leaders Call for Meeting with Agencies on Maintaining Remittance Lifelines Between the United States and Somalia

by: ibrahim hirsi, minnpost

Former Minnesota journalist appointedSomali minister

My name is Mohamed Samatar and from a young age I’ve been interested in crossing boundaries and developing a new sense of self. This search has led me to finally accept my never ending dream to reconnect with Somalia, one of the many homes I’ve been blessed with, through the Arts.

The past few years I’ve been able to learn, lead, and listen through various creative-community oriented projects in Minneapolis/St.Paul, MN. Through this personal investment and positive reception it is now apparent to me that my

experiences, interests, and trade of art making would be a great asset to share with Somalia.

Art has the most potential as a communicative medium in which we can spark dialogue for change, express ourselves and find a greater understanding of who we are both as individuals

and communities within this galaxy. Artistic talent so often goes undetected, and this has been an increasing problem as the resources for artistic practice fall apart in environments of economic strain.

In January of 1991, the famed coup d’état against the former Dictator Said Barre occurred resulting in more than two decades of poverty, chaos, and territorial fractures. The past few years Somalia, has seen a positive forward motion, at times difficult, for a revival from the local to the diaspora. Thus, in

this crucial moment I want to mold together, my keen longing interest in the beauty Somalia, and my passion for the arts as pedestal for social change.

I am raising funds to create the first contemporary Art Space in Borama,Somalia to promote local and national artists and

begin to build a conversation with the greater spectrum of emerging art and technology scene as a whole.

I believe that word, movement, storytelling, music, rituals, and photography are essential installations to engage in the revolving conversations about; diplomacy/activism, cross-cultural understanding, social justice, youth empowerment, and community building in Somalia.

HOWTo develop this concept into its full potential, need your kind assistance to fund things like, but not limited to:

Documentation Equipment [estimated $1,500]

P r i n t i n g a n d S i g n a g e [estimated $2,000]

T r a v e l R e l o c a t i o n [estimated $2,500]

Advisory Council Stipends [estimated $4,000]

Space Rental / Renovation [estimated $10,000]

* This intial assesment funding phase is to foster community collaboration, interest, and leadership.

This week marks the 31st anniversary of the Wagalla Massacre. This was the time when husbands/men from the Degodia clan were detained, tortured and killed by the Kenyan military and police during a security operation at Wagalla airstrip near Wajir. (PHOTO: CREDIT/NATION GROUP NEWSPAPER).

It was on one Friday sunny morning, on 10th February, 1984, the Kenya security forces sought every male ethnic Somali Degodia from across Wajir district house-house and from mosques, markets and work-places in a dubious military operation reminiscent of the persecution of the Jews (the holocaust) at least in architectural similarity.

The Jew holocaust is one of most heinous and horrific crimes in the 20th century by the Fascist Nazi in which 6m

Jews were killed. Last January 27th marked the International Holocaust Remembrance Day since the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camps in 1945 by Soviet Soldiers.

In Kenya context, Wagalla is described as one of the single mass murder by the Kenya security forces according to the United Nations report. For many, victims, widow and orphaned alike, the word W-a-g-a-l-l-a elicits deep sorrow, anger and betrayal among the Kenyan Somalis. Unfortunately, the catalogue of Kenya’s security forces crimes of abuses is endless.

The Kenya army selective sought Degodia tribesmen house-house, netted and ferried of five thousand Somali men in Army Lorries to their death by starvation and torture at a desolate disused airstrip 8 miles

to the west of Wajir in a four days ordeal of torture. At the airstrip, they were stripped naked, starved and some burnt people alive.

Abdi Ismail, a survivors and at the time a civil servant, a livestock extension was netted from Griftu, 30 miles to the west of Wajir. Even in the mosque, he is unforgiving. He says with palpable indignation, “Wagalla, was one hell on earth for us”. They treated us bad and I never think I will ever heal from this…”

Mubarak is one of the victims of the thousand victims of Wajir massacre. For days, the 50-year-old man’s status hovered between life and death in vegetative state, unaware of the world around him at Wajir District hospital in northern Kenya.

With intravenous drip running into his vein being his only link to the outside world, he laid helplessly on his back on his hospital bed. His shoulders squire, arms on sides and like a soldier on parade, his enormous dry-vacant eyes fixed straight at the ceiling. “He is a “shifta”, a bandit; the police-man guarding him spurt in condemnation of the dying old man with no heart or humility.

“Shifta”, is a derogatory libelous term used to describe Kenya Somali associating them with criminal thug-like banditry.

Suddenly, the old-man blinked and a groaning voice asking for water; “biya ..bibii…yaaa…isiya biya….., water... water…give me water”. As his daughter gave him sips, a flicker of hope filled the air but this shortly bubbled. And in a finale bye-bye like, the old man fixed his eyes on his teen daughter, Amina, before he closed his eyes and peacefully passed.

Hassan Gure , ano ther surviving victim and a civil servant picked from Buna, ninety miles to the west of Wajir while at work is unforgiving too. “Without justice, he says in a low straight talk, “Wagalla walks in the shadow of Rwanda come 100 years. Hassan temper turns into frenzy fits and bitter sobs. “Bastards, bastards” he vehemently spurts. He grinds his molars in mock chewing of what he says is the flesh of those took away his sobriety. Look at what they did to me, pointing to a scar on his mid-thigh.

His deep apprehension today is that, there is no justice for him and others. Certainly, the macabre reflection of Hassan is embedded in his cruelest past which he says will ceaselessly haunt him. “I have night-mares, he says and the hurt of Wagalla massacre is permanently glued to me, it is one of organ, like this

Elsewhere, Kenya government crimes is nostalgic. In 1980, the army killed 300 people, burnt homes and raped women in what is remembered as Garissa Gubay, the razing of city of Garissa.

On a general scale, other Kenyans have equally suffered gross violations of right but more recently, extrajudicial killings of Muslim clergies in Coast and the larger Somalis areas of Eastleigh, Nairobi have surfaced (refer: Al

And as the world now grapple with the diabolic metastasis of global terrorism; the surmounting dilemma facing Kenyan Somalis and generally the larger minority Muslims living under rights abusive governments of Kenya is not whether they will get justice for the past crimes but whether they can live peacefully in Kenya without harassment, torture, or death. And it appears, justice is more elusive than ever.

But as the Great civil-rights fighter, Martin Luther King once said; “our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter”.

Certainly, justice and freedom are intertwined issues that matters in and outside our lives. These are fundamental core of living in dignity for all people and we must all pursue with all the deserving. Justice for Wagalla must never die, as it is for all other justices for people every-where.

Tributes paid to world-renowned Manchester scientist and researcher who revolutionized sugar industry

A leading Manchester scientist and globally-respected researcher has died.

Tributes have been paid to Sudanese-born Dr Layla Zakaria Abdel Rahman, who studied at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).

A renowned expert in the field of biological technology, she passed away at her home in Didsbury aged 59 last Saturday after a fight against cancer.

Dr Layla, a mother-of-two, uncovered a radically new method of growing sugar cane.

The breakthrough, which she made at her research laboratory near the former Manchester Science Park, meant the plant could be grown from seeds rather than the conventional stem cutting methods.

It led to cheaper and more

productive cul t ivat ion in developing countries.

Friends said Dr Layla, who won national awards and earned global recognition for her work, was much-loved within Manchester’s Sudanese communities.

A funeral service took place at a mosque in Victoria Park yesterday (Tuesday) ahead of burial at Southern Cemetery in Chorlton.

Dr Layla, the granddaughter of a Sudanese tribal king, moved to Manchester to study in the

late 1980s after completing her education in Sudan.

She had graduated from the University of Khartoum in Sudan and went on to complete a Masters degree and a Phd at UMIST.

Gaafer Ali, a close friend and secretary of Manchester Sudanese Cultural Society, said companies sponsored her research in Manchester. He said: “She had a tremendous and wonderful career. It shows what sort of a person she was.

“She came from a humble

background but achieved so much success and was an amazing person. She had an ability to get people to love her. She broke boundaries in her field.

“She will be very sadly missed and was a wonderful human being.”

Dr Layla’s breakthrough involved taking cells from plant leaves, shoots or roots and growing them in a liquid culture to produce artificial seeds able to germinate. For years, scientists funded by the sugar industry had been trying to find ways to

increase crop yields, without success.

But her results and patented techniques garnered global attention and attracted interest f rom huge research and production companies across the world.

The popular immigrant-owned Afro Deli and Catering in Minneapolis’ Cedar-Riverside neighborhood is stretching its muscle to make its mark on West Seventh Place in downtown St. Paul.

On Tuesday, the 4-year-old Minneapolis Afro Deli will have a new sister serving African, Mediterranean and American cuisine in the heart of Minnesota’s capital.

“It is a dream come true,” Abdirahman Kahin, owner of Afro Deli, said of the new location. “I have always wanted to replicate our great service and unique taste of food in every city and town in the state.”

The idea to establish a chain of the restaurant sparked two years ago after Kahin realized the

boom of his business — even as the sweeping wave of recession closed down many businesses in the neighborhood.

Afro Deli continues to thrive and grow, Kahin said, because of its unique dishes, which attract diverse customers — many of them students and staff from the University of Minnesota and Augsburg College, employees from the nearby hospitals and clinics, and residents from the neighborhood.

“Food doesn’t have borders,” the soft-spoken Kahin is quick to say. “We serve everyone who eats.”

PARTNERSHiP bETWEEN AFRO DEli AND ADC

Before Afro Deli, Kahin ran a media production business in

the early 2000s, making short films and recording wedding ceremonies, parties and events for the East African immigrants in Minnesota.

Kahin later developed an interest in the food industry and decided to leave his production business behind to open a restaurant. At the time, he said, there weren’t many immigrant-owned restaurants — and the few that existed focused on serving their communities.

“I had a vision to create a mainstream restaurant,” he said. He also wanted to showcase his community’s posit ive contributions through ethnic foods.

Kahin’s vision was fulfilled in 2010 when Afro Deli and Catering opened its doors, thanks

in part to the investment of the African Development Center (ADC).

For ADC to thrive, the late executive director of the organization, Hussein Samatar, said at the time in a video interview, it would be best to generate its own income — and not rely on donations only.

So ADC invested in Afro Deli, with Kahin now runs and manages — and with ADC receiving its share of the profit.

‘I want to prove them wrong’When Kahin sought loans to

finance the new Afro Deli in St. Paul, some lenders turned down his request, telling him that it wouldn’t thrive in the downtown — and recommending he find a neighborhood with a larger immigrant population.

Kahin explained to the lenders that the majority of his customers are nonimmigrants and that his restaurant would do just fine in St. Paul. But this argument didn’t persuade the lenders.

“Just because Afro Deli located in Cedar-Riverside, they think all my customers are immigrants,” Kahin said. “At first, I was disappointed to hear that. But it only took me 20 minutes to say, ‘I want to prove them wrong.’”

Last Saturday afternoon, scores of people kept coming in to the new restaurant only to face Kahin and his staff, who greeted them with: “Sorry, we’re not open. Grab that menu and come back on Tuesday. Thank you.”

Ryan Colbert, a local actor, was among those who stopped

by the restaurant. Colbert grew up in the Cedar-Riverside area and is a longtime customer of Minneapolis’ Afro Deli.

“I’m glad to see Afro Deli branching out,” he said. “In my experience in the one on Riverside Avenue, all types of people love the food, coming all the time — business people, school people, neighborhood people. That’s really a great community spot. I hope that this place can be like that, too.”

Afro Deli’s new location, 5 W. Seventh Place, formally housed Mexican-style Tacos, Nachos and Bear restaurant, which went out of business after less than a year.

Police in Minnesota’s Roseville town are seeking the public’s help in finding the killers of a Somali man who was

severely beaten in a Roseville park in late

December.Ismail Jama, 28, was

violently assaulted near the park’s tennis courts after he exited his 2013 Hyundai Sonata. On Dec. 24, a resident of the Autumn Grove Park neighborhood who was at the park saw Jama semiconscious and lying in a ditch.

Civil-liberties and Muslim c o m m u n i t y g r o u p s a r e scrutinizing the intent of a federal anti-terror program that will launch next month in Minnesota. Pilot programs have been launched in Twin cities, Boston and Los Angeles to keep a track of those who are joining terror groups aboard although some Muslims say that the underlying reason is in actual fact an effort by the law enforcers to gather intelligence.

US Attorney Andrew Luger however has said that . “This is

not about gathering intelligence, i t’s not about expanding surveillance or any of the things that some people want to claim it is,” Luger said.

“I’ve met with hundreds, if not thousands, of community members to gather their thoughts on what we should be doing, and

that’s in fact what we’re doing,” Luger said. “I’ve told people this has nothing to do with surveillance and investigations, and I’m telling the truth.”

U.S. Attorney Andy Luger said his plan for the initiative, which he will formally launch at a White House summit in three weeks, involves more afterschool and mentoring programs for vulnerable youth. He said it grew out of conversations with Somali-American community members — including mothers worried about their sons.

But in some corners of the community, Luger’s efforts are viewed with suspicion. especially after Center for Justice at New York University School of Law released a couple of revealing documents that showed that two law enforcement outreach programs in the Twin Cities were designed to assist investigations.

One of the Muslim-American partners in the St. Paul program was Asad Zaman, executive director of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota who said many were wary of the program.

Zaman said that his organization got funding through the program to hire a police liaison he was not told about an intelligence component, though he had been asked to keep track of attendees at outreach meetings. “Several times [the police department] asked me whether that was possible to turn over the list of people at the programs, and I said, ‘It ain’t gonna happen,’” Zaman said.

Steve Linders, a St. Paul Police spokesman, said that “the intelligence aspect never came to fruition. The program evolved away from that.” He said that they would sometimes pass information that community members brought to their attention to the FBI, but that was the extent of the bureau’s involvement.

After becoming the first leader to allow his regional State to access a free and fair local football election in December last year, the regional Jubba State leader Sheik Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madoobe) has showed his interest for football. He was one of several regional state leaders who have been in the

capital for the past several days, but it was only Sheik Madoobe who visited the Stadium Banadir and enjoyed one of the national league matches on Friday. The defending champions Banadir Sports Club and Sahafi FC shared points when the fully-competitive match ended in 0-0. Sheik Madoobe, a moderate

Islamist leader has attracted much praise and appreciation from Somali Football Federation for showing his commitment to football. The regional leader was accompanied by several high profile officials including Somali ambassador to Kenya Dr. Mohamed Ali Nur (Ameeriko),

a favourite SFF diplomat who assisted Somali National team so many times when they travelled to Kenya and Tanzania for football matches. “The arrival of Sheik Madoobe here at the Stadium shows how he is committed to football and we are welcoming such a football-loving leader” Somali

FA senior vice president Ali Abdi Mohamed Said. In the past, Somali regional governmental authorities always appointed football leaders in their regions, but when the SFF stood firm on its decision that local football volunteers in regions must be elected and that regional authorities must not

interfere, Sheik Madoobe became the first leader to welcome the development and as a result the regional Jubba football authorities were elected with SFF officials monitoring their election.

SAMBUUS QUDAAR(Vegetable Samosa)

Sambuus, sambusa, samosa – are delicious, regardless of what name you use for them. They are a great snack or appetiser.

Other cultures have similar pastries. The Spanish and Portuguese have empanada, the Polish are proud of their pirogi, the

English and Aussies love their meatpie, and the Chinese continue to dazzle us with spring-rolls.

In this recipe I

have used spring roll pastry instead of the traditional handmade pastry. Using spring rolls is quick and easy, but if you prefer

to make your own pastry, check out our meat sambuus recipe for instructions.

Healthy tip: Try

baking your sambuus in a medium heat oven for about 10 minutes, turning after five minutes to bake evenly.

iNgREDiENTSThree large potatoes, boiled and diced into small cubes

1 cup of cooked green peasOne large onion, diced finely1 bunch of coriander, chopped1 tablespoon of curry powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin1 teaspoon ground coriander seeds

½ teaspoon of ground chilli or two diced green chillies (optional)Salt to taste

10 sheets of spring roll pastryOil for deep frying

Instructions

Sambuus Qudaar filling1: Gently cook the diced potatoes, peas, coriander, onions, salt and spices in a pan in a tablespoon of oil and

cook for about five minutes.2: Let the mixture cool.

How to wrap the sambuus pastry (see pictures above)1: Thaw the spring roll pastry and cover with a clean cloth to keep the pastry from drying out.

2: Mix two tablespoons of plain flour with a quarter cup of warm water to form a paste to seal the pastry’s edge.3: Cut the two pastry sheets into thirds of equal size rectangles. Repeat for the rest of the pastries, using two sheets at a time. In total, you will have 15 rectangles, each forming into one sambuus. Ensure that the pastry

pieces are always kept covered with a clean cloth.4: Fold the two sheets of rectangular pastry into pockets – see picture below.

5: Fill the pocket with about two tablespoons of the vegetable mixture.6: Spread the flour paste along the edges of the final fold and seal the pastry completely. Ensure that the pastry

does not have any holes. You should have a neat triangular sambuus. A well folded sambuus will fry crisply and won’t be oily.

7: Repeat the process of filling and folding with the remaining pieces of pastry. Keep the pasties covered in cloth to ensure they don’t dry out.

Frying the sambuus1: Heat up oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat. Test the oil with a small strip of excess dough and if the

pastry floats up then you are ready to start frying your sambuus.2: Fry several sambuus at a time until they are a nice golden colour.

3: Drain the sambuus on a clean kitchen towel and serve with a wedge of lemon, lime or shidni sauce.

Jadeecada ayaa disha 400 oo carruur ah adduunka maalin kasta. Waa cudur aad u faafa oo si fudud uga guduba qaarad ka qaarad. Laakiin, waxa jira wax aad ku kici karto oo idin badbaadiya adiga iyo qoyskaagaba – tallaal qaata.

Haddii aad u socdaalayso waddamo dibadda ah, hubi in adiga iyo carruurtaadu aad dhammaystir u qaadataan tallaalka Jadeecada, qanjo-bararka (qaamo-qashiirka), iyo Rubella (loona yaqaan MMR). Carruurtu ugu yaraan 6 bilood markay yihiin ayaa ah inay qaataan tallaalka MMR.

Cudurka dabaysha ayaa ah cudur kale oo caabuuq leh oo ku faafa socdaalka. Cudurka dabayshu waa cudur keeni kara naafo aadan dhaqaajin kar in waaxyada j idhka iyo mararka qaarkoodna qoorgooye. Hadday naafadu fiddo waxay qofka ka joojin kartaa neefsashada.

K o r d h i t a a n k a t i r a d a xaaladaha cudurka dabaysha ayaa welwel ku riddayu saraakiisha caafimaadka ee Ururka Caafimaadka Adduunka (World Health Organization). Waxay ku talinayaan inay dadka joogi doona afar toddobaad in ka badan dal laga helay cududrka dabayshu istallaalaan kahor intayna socdaalin. Dadka u socdaalaya dalalka laga helay cudurka dabaysha

waa inay hubiyaan inay kala hadlaan rugtooda caafimaadka arrimaha ku saabsan inay u baahan yihiin xoojin tallaal iyo in kale iyo haddii carruurta ay qateen dhammaan qiyaasahooda tallaal ee ay ugu baahan yihiin socdaalka.

Waa wax fudud in loo maleeyo in cudurradani ayna adiga iyo qoyskaagaba saamayn ku yeelan doonin. Hooyo reer Minnesota ah ayaa ogaatay sida khatarta ay u yihiin cudurradani marka socdaalka lagu jiro. Kahor intii ayna socdaalin, dhakhtarka ayaa kula taliyay in wiilkeedu qaato tallaalka MMR wakhti ka horreeya wakhtigii caadiga ahaa sababta oo ah iyaga oo socdaal u galayay inay booqdaan qoyskooda jooga Kenya. Ujeddadeedu awaxay ahayd inuu wiilkeeda qaato tallaalka, laakiin hurdo ayuu galyay ugu damabayntii. Waxay go’aansatay inay sugi karaan illaa intay soo noqonayaan. Waxa kaliya ee ay booqanayeen qoyskooda taasina uma muuqan wax halis weyn ah.

Maalintay gurigooda ku soo laabteen, ayuu wiilkeedu yeeshay calaamadaha durayga – qufac, sanka oo dareerayay, iyo indho dareeray, oo casaan ah. Markaas ayuu qandho yeeshay oo aad tabcaan u noqday. Waxay u geysay isaga dhakhtarka, oo waxay

u sheegeen inuu yahay fayras oo ay tahay in isaga siican indhaha loogu hayo. Qufacii ayaa ka sii daray oo qandhaduna sare u kacday markaa ayay dhakhtarka mar kale u geysay. Wakhtigan ayaa isaga la seexiyay isbitaalka maadaama u lahaa oof-wareen. Dhakhaatiirta ayaa baaritaanno dheeraad ah ku sameeyay oo seexiyay qol u gaar ah – wuxuu lahaa jadeeco.

Aad ayay ugu adkayd inuu neefsato ilmahaheedu markaas ayay saareen mishiinka neefsiga. Waxaa ku jiray tuubooyinka afkiisa, sanka,

iyo gacmaha. Waxay dareentay ciirsi la’aan. Dhakhaatiirta ayaa uga digtay inay dhici karto inuu ilmaheedu dhinto. Saddex toddobaad ayay iyadu daawanaysay mashiinka oo wiilkeeda u neefsanaya.

Wiilka yar ayaa badbaaday, laakiin hooyadiis ayaan marnaba lloobi doonin dhibkii soo maray. Cudurka ayaa waliba ku fiday dad kale oo diyaaradda saarnaa oo waxa ka mid ahaa xubno qoys aan la tallaallin. Waxay u sheegtaa qof kasta oo dalka dibaddiisa uga socdaalaya, “Waxaad hubisaa inaad qaadataan

dhammaan tallaallada adiga ama qoyskaagu u baahan tihiin.”

Si socdaalkaagu caafimaad qab uu u noqdo, kala hadal rugtaada caafimaad ama dhakhtarkaaga wixii ku s a a b s a n s o c d a a l k a a g a , tallaalada aad u baahan tahay iyo siyaabaha aad caafimaad qab u haan doonto isla markaad socdaalayso.

Maku talojirtaa socdaal caalami ah? Ha illoobin arrimaha ku saabsan tallaallada!

Xildhibaanada Baarlamaanka Soomaaliya ayaa cod aqlabiyad leh ku ansixiyay Xukuumada cusub ee uu soo magacaabay Ra’ i isul Wasaare Cumar Cabdirashiid, kadib markii ay heshay 191 cod, halka 22 ay diiday.

Kulanka Baarlamaanka oo ahaa mid aan caadi aheyn ayaa ku furmay 213 Xildhibaan, iyadoo Gudoomiye Jawaari oo shir gudoominayay uu ugu horeyn ku

wargeliyay Xildhibaanada inay cod u qaadaan in shaqada la sii wado iyo in tacsida xildhibaan C/llaahi Qayaad Barre loo baajiyo, kadib markii la dilay Xildhibaan C/llaahi Qayaad Barre oo ka tirsanaa Baarlamaanka la dilay isla maalintaas.

Cod bixinta kadib ayaa gudoomiyaha Maxkamada sare ee Qaranka Avv. Ceydiid Ilka xanaf uu dhaariyay qaar

ka mid ah Wasiiradda, Wasiir kuxigeenada iyo Wasiiru dowlayaasha, kuwaasoo Ku dhaartay Kitaabka Quraanka Kariimka.

R a ’ i i s u l W a s a a r a h a Soomaaliya Cumar Cabdirashiid ayaa u mahad ce l iyay Baarlamaanka Soomaaliya codka kalsoonida ay siiyeen, waxaana uu balan qaaday in Xukuumaddiisa ay wax ka qaban doonto xaalada guud ee dalka.

Labo jeer oo hore ayuu Ra’iisul Wasaaruhu ku fashilmay inuu codka kalsoonida ka helo, kadib markii uu Golihiisa Wasiirada ku soo daray Wasiiro lagu muransanaa, taasoo keentay inuu la laabto oo uu soo dhiso Gole Wasiiro ka kooban 20-xubnood, hase ahaatee uu golahaas uu u baahday inuu ku soo dhameystiro 10- cisho oo ay ugu dambeyn Xildhibaanada ogolaadeen.

Howlaha ugu waa weyn ee sugaya xukuumaddan cusub ayaa waxaa ka mid ah ammaanka, arrimaha federaalka, la dagaalanka musuq maasuqa, afti u qaadista dastuurka iyo dib u habeyntiisa, gaarista iyo fulinta barnaamijka hiigsiga cusub ee sanadka 2016 ee la doonayo in dalka doorasho xor ah ay ka dhacdo iyo arrimo kale oo badan.
