With over 15 years’ experience in the research, design and manufacture of transformers and reactors, Fdueg is now a leading company in the field of electromechanics.

The company is situated near the border between the two provinces of Novara and Vercelli and it extends for 3000 square meters as part of a 18000 square metre property.

In the long run Fdueg has earned a reputation for highly efficient solutions in the design and making of particular products in all the application fields, from power electronics, to distribution, energy generation, offshore plants and alternative energy production.

History

Fdueg was founded in 1995 thanks to the partners’ established experience in electromechanics. Ever since its foundation the company has found a niche in various sectors where machines for particular applications that require highly competent design are needed. In the long run it has built lasting relationship with some manufactures of power electronics and has developed competitive solutions in the field of transformers and reactors in series. In the last few years Fdueg has strengthened its position with special applications by employing well-qualified engineers and training staff in new production methods so as to guarantee the greatest competitiveness both for special products and mass produced ones. Our competitiveness is based in the constant improvement of technological processes. Fdueg has always focussed on customers’ requirements and, in the long run, we have come to realize that our trump card has been our ability to customize products to meet customers’ needs: Fdueg has always built up close relationships with customers in order to offer and guarantee the best possible product, service and solution.

By targeting the sector of special/particular solutions, Fdueg has risen above its main competitions in the electrotechnical field: our high competence in design and manufacture has allowed us to study and make lots of unique items perfectly meeting customers’ needs. The fact that such products are not often mass-produced underlines that, the product itself, which can be seen as a prototype, must meet certain requirements from the very beginning, and here again Fdueg has always been able to do the best. Fdueg has developed its own design software and it also makes use of solution systems for finished components in order to validate calculations and projects. The application fields in which the most particular fittings have been developed are: offshore applications, test labs, alternative energy production, conversion and rectification, metallizing and plating plants.

Dry type transformers and reactors represent one of Fdueg’s strong point; thanks to a wide database, which has been upgraded in the long run, and to our designers’ experience, we are in a position to develop each machine for it to respond to specific installation requirements, in a range between a few tens of VA and thousands of KVA, in low or medium voltage, with both copper and aluminum windings, trying to optimize costs and size in the development of these products, which are already advantageous as result of maintenance reduction, great attention has been paid to performance, with a thorough assessment of losses and cooling systems.

Cast resin transformers can meet special insulation and environmental needs and be installed even in polluted or damp places. Oil immersed

For very high power (MVA) and voltage, we recommend oil immersed transformers. This solution guarantees the best possible resistance to dielectric stresses and, by using special heat exchangers, the elimination of losses, which allows the machine to cool. This type of product is particularly suitable for energy distribution networks or installations subject to severe weather or environmental conditions. In new of the specificity of the applications, each product is customized to determine the characteristics that can best satisfy the customer’s needs.

Industry applications - UPS

Industry applications

The problems of plants in which the current that starts up the motor might damage some electrical components, is solved by inserting a motor starting reactor that must be dimensioned keeping into account the specific characteristics of the motor and the parameters of the plant. Renewable energy
