First Year Experience
• Trip to TTU on October 10 & 11, 2007• Principal Contact: Amy Maynard, Director of Campus Life
TTU/ASU Professional Pathways Program
• Early Admission to Medical School
– Agreement between Honors College at TTU and Honors Program at ASU
– Available only to students in the ASU Honors program who have• 1300 SAT (29 ACT)• Graduated within the Honors Program with at least a 3.5 GPA• Completed successfully required prerequisite academic courses• Completed successfully the School of Medicine interview process
– Successful students will have achieved early decision which guarantees them a place in the Medical School entering class after completion of their fourth year of undergraduate work and their baccalaureate degree
– Successful students are exempted from taking the MCAT
TTU/ASU Professional Pathways Program
• Early Admission to Law School
– Will follow closely the guidelines for Early Admission to Medical School although it will require in addition an LSAT score that places the applicant in the top half nation wide
– This program will be voted on by the TTU Law School faculty on October 3rd
TTU/ASU Professional Pathways Program
• We hope to expand the Professional Pathways Program to include other professional degrees offered at TTU, but not at ASU, and to explore promising areas of collaboration
– Computer Science to Electrical Engineering– Physics to Mechanical Engineering– Chemistry to Chemical Engineering– Joint Doctorate in Educational Leadership– ASU Natural Resources Management Degree and TTU Department of Natural
Resources– Nursing and Physical Therapy
• Joint Nurse Practitioner Program
• A Pathways Program for ASU MSN students to enter Tech’s DNP Leadership Option
– A variety of other joint initiatives, including sharing of non-programmatic offerings (lectures, seminars, etc.)
