Notice1: Sensor 4 is generally used horizontal strain sensors. Notice2: If you are using rotary bending test machine please activate the Calculate Stress As Rotary Bending section.

1.4.5.4 Plot

In this menu, you can adjust your graph specifications

When you click Enable OpenGL Plotting, it makes possible to show graphic at lower resolutions. Title : To give a name to the graphic Theme : Allows the select visuality of graphic Type : User can select 2- Axis or 4-Axis type graphics Graph 1 : Allows selecting variant of the axis, color, scatter size and plotting mode. When the "Show Graph On / Off" tab is activated, the graph will be drawn in the experiment report, while in the closed position the graph will not appear in the experiment report. Only the test results will be shown. "Graphic Title" is entered as user defined. 2-axis and 4-axis graphs can be selected with ‘’type’’ tab. The "Show Grid" feature activates the unit ruler on the graph paper. The graph is displayed instantly during the experiment with the "Show Graph Simultaneously" feature.

1.4.5.5 Sample Settings For automatic and healthy calculation you should enter you sample’s specification to this part.

Sample Type : You can choose from here; Flat, Cylinder, Pipe, Cross Section, Coil Spring and Leaf Spring type samples Unit : Cm, mm and µm Lc : Size of the gap between the grips W0 : If you measure a horizontal extension, you should enter width of the sample. Compressometer : Type of the compressiometer’s dimension (For deformation measurement of concrete cylinder) Mass : Weight of the sample Height : Height of sample Diameter : Diameter of the sample

1.4.5.6 Test Procedure

This menu is very important for a healthy test conditions and results. Because how will be your test is depend on these adjustments.

First of all you should choose the control type; in this section you have two option; Automatic and Manual Controls. 1.4.5.6.1 Manual Control: The manual type control allows the user to control the device via the on-screen arrow keys. The control mode can be selected in 3 different ways as "displacement, load and extension" and the speed can be adjusted. With the "tare before the test" feature it is possible to reset the remaining residual loads on the pre-test sensors in order to get the correct measurement. In addition, with the "automatic crosshead return after test" feature, device jaws can automatically return to the user-defined starting position. This feature allows samples of the same size to be tested more rapidly. The "Use position sensor as extension after" feature allows you to use the position sensor as an extensometer, but not for very small changes. “By setting the output (valve opening) with the "pre-load" feature, the movements of the jaws can be precisely adjusted without damaging the sample.

1.4.5.6.2 Automatic Control: Automatic type control can be done in 3 different ways as Simple, Combined and Dynamic Simple Loading: linear load can be determined by setting speed and target values with "Load, extension and displacement" control. "Control Speed" can be set as customer defined in MPa / sec, kN / sec, mm / sec, mm / min.

Load, Displacement and Extension Control Speed (kN/s, MPa/sn)

Page 16: TS Series Tensile Machines - Impact Test

Combined Loading: In this mode user can define a specific test mode which can be combining of step, ramp, sinusoidal, rectangle, triangle etc. In combined loading, load, extension and displacement control can be controlled as loading, unloading and standby; loading speed, destination and waiting time can be used as user defined.

To delete or add a new control type.

To change the placement of the selected control type.

Dynamic Mode: In this mode user can perform dynamic tests. Firstly you should choose ‘’Dynamic’’ from Procedure Type. After this selection, Dynamic option (placed on the toolbar) will be activated, and then you will see a screen as below.

By using this this screen you can adjust start speed, Start/End Offset, and wave specifications. Also by using Periodic saving option you can adjust interval and number of the cycles that will be saved. When you click on acceleration control, you will see a screen as below;

Software can perform acceleration control that depends on frequency and amplitude; here you can adjust the acceleration specifications. (For full specification of this module, please contact our engineering team.)

E Modulus: This section designed for a healthy e modulus results, through this module you can select the linear part of the slope and software can make the calculations over this interval.

End Test: This module designed for the automatic termination of the tests. If you click on % box, software will terminate test when drop reached the value that entered percentage of the current force. If you click on the Value box, software terminate test when occurred a load drop in entered value. Drop Weight End Threshold: This module is designed for prevent faulty break detection, when you entered a value here, machine does not perceive load drop as high as this value as broken. Dynamic Threshold: If you a make a dynamic test, this module allows you describe a threshold value to end test, when your sample deformed. Xhead Return After Test: This module is designed to prepare your machine automatically for a new test after an old test. Here you can select Sink option for hydraulic machines or you can select Position option for servo electro mechanic machines. Pre Sink Time : To set a delay time before sinking process. Sink Time: Machine waits along the delay time and starts to sinking along the entered Sink Time
