A STEWARDSHIP MOMENT
The ultimate aim of Saint Paul’s Letter to the Colossians is to teach the community
how to deepen its relationship with Christ Jesus. His list of virtues summarizes the
ideals of communal stewardship: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and
patience. For Paul, practicing these virtues opens our hearts to Christ as individuals
and as a worshipping community. This is how the Christian
community ought to live. This is how its members should
behave in their dealings with others, particularly with fellow
believers. As we approach the new year, how might we
embrace one or more of these virtues more fully in our
parish community in order to deepen our relationship with
Jesus?

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly
servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has
done great things for me, and holy is his Name. He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation. He has shown
the strength of his arm, he has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has come to the help of his servant Israel for he re-membered his promise of mercy, the promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children forever.

nosotros tenemos numerosas oportunidades
Dios.

St. Alphonsus Liguori wrote:
“Of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the
greatest after the Sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most
helpful to us”. The Eucharist is a priceless treasure: By not only
celebrating the Eucharist, but also by praying before It outside of Mass,
we are enabled to make contact with the very wellsprings of Grace ..."
