    pump (FP) circuitoutput from the PCM.The test fails if: Withthe FP outputcommanded ON(grounded),excessive currentdraw is detected onthe FP circuit; or withthe FP outputcommanded OFF,

    voltage is notdetected on the FPcircuit (the PCMexpects to detectVPWR voltagecoming through thefuel pump relay coilto the FP circuit).

    NOTE: For naturalgas applications, thefollowing description

    applies to the fuelshutoff valve monitor(FSVM) and the fuelshutoff valve power(FSV PWR) circuits.The PCM monitorsthe fuel pumpmonitor (FPM) circuit.This test fails whenthe PCM detectsvoltage on the FPM

    circuit while the fuelpump is commandedOFF. The FPM circuitis wired to a pull-upvoltage inside thePCM. The FPMcircuit will go high if,with the key ON andthe fuel pumpcommanded OFF,the FPM/FP PWR

    circuit loses its pathto ground through thefuel pump. The FPMcircuit will also gohigh if the FPM/FPPWR circuit isshorted to power.

    q Inertia fuel shutoff (IFS)switch not reset orelectrically open
