O Come all ye faithful
O come, all ye faithful, Joyful and triumphant! O come ye, O come ye to
Bethlehem; Come and behold him, Born the King of Angels:
Chorus:
O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord
God of God, Light of Light, born unto Mary, the virgin blest;
Very God, begotten, not created:…….Chorus
See how the shepherds, summoned to his cradle, leaving their flocks draw
nigh with holy fear, we too will thither bend out joyful footsteps
…Chorus
Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation, Sing, all ye citizens of Heaven
above! Glory to God In the highest:…….Chorus
On Jordan's bank the Baptist's cry
On Jordan's bank the Baptist's cry, announces that the Lord is nigh;
awake and hearken, for he brings glad tidings of the King of kings.
Then cleansed be every breast from sin; make straight the way for God within,
prepare we in our hearts a home where such a mighty Guest may come.
For thou art our salvation, Lord, our refuge and our great reward;
without thy grace we waste away like flowers that wither and decay.
To heal the sick stretch out thine hand, and bid the fallen sinner stand;
shine forth and let thy light restore earth's own true loveliness once more.
All praise, eternal Son, to thee, whose advent doth thy people free;
whom with the Father we adore and Holy Ghost for evermore.
Hope is a Star
1. Hope is a star that shines in the night, leading this on till the morning
is bright.
Refrain: When God is a child there’s joy in our song. The last shall
be first and the weak shall be strong, and none shall be afraid.
2. Peace is a ribbon that circles the earth, giving the promise of safety
and worth. Refrain:
3. Joy is a song that welcomes the dawn, telling the world that the
Savior is born. Refrain
4. Love is a flame that burns in our hearts, Jesus is come and will never
depart. Refrain
Come a long expected Jesus
Come, thou long expected Jesus, born to set thy people free;
from our fears and sins release us, let us find our rest in thee.
Israel's strength and consolation, hope of all the earth thou art;
dear desire of every nation, joy of every longing heart.
Born thy people to deliver, born a child and yet a King,
born to reign in us forever, now thy gracious kingdom bring.
By thine own eternal spirit rule in all our hearts alone;
by thine all sufficient merit, raise us to thy glorious throne.
Thank-you to the Choirs and accompanists of Iona Presbyterian, St
Cyprians Anglican, St Christopher’s Anglican and Trinity Mandarin
Presbyterian Churches, and the youth band for this wonderful evening
of music, and to the cast for the skit.
