Packing List Girls’ Clothing (wear one set of clothing and pack the other) – consult with YW Pres with questions 2 long skirts and 2 long sleeve blouses Or 2 dresses Sun bonnet or other wide brimmed hat 2 pair of pantaloons 1 apron (with pockets) Boys’ Clothing (wear one set of clothing and pack the other) – consult with YM Pres with questions 2 long sleeved button-down shirts 2 pair of long pants (no denim) A wide-brimmed hat (no baseball caps) Clothing for everyone 2 pairs of sturdy shoes with a good tread (wear one pair/ pack the other) 5-6 pairs socks (acrylic or polypropylene are best, NO COTTON) Underwear (4 sets) Sleeping clothes or pajamas. Consider packing a sleeping cap and an extra layer for warmth Warm Coat and a rain poncho Work gloves, to protect your hands when pulling the handcart Personal Items Wash cloth and hand towel Bar of hand soap Toothbrush and toothpaste Comb or brush Any other necessary hygiene products. Don’t bring make-up. If you wear contact lenses, you might consider wearing your glasses during trek – the trails are dusty! Personal medication Other Items A small bag with first aid items, such as: lip balm and sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher), tissues, bug repellant, a few band-aids, a piece of moleskin, 2 safety pins, hand sanitizer, and a sharpened pencil) Flashlight – small, lightweight with new batteries Cold weather sleeping bag Scriptures Pie Tin, tin cup, and fork, knife, and spoon (carry the cup with you on the bus) Large plastic bag for dirty or wet clothes Disposable camera (optional) No electronic devices.
