purchases but necessary technology can be acquired through task orders

– TIPSS-4 Small Business also exists, focusing on cyber security &

management/business operations support

– TIPSS-4 ITS: 33 contracts awarded on 12/28/2010, with estimated expiration date of

12/25/2020

– TIPSS-4 SB: 35 contracts awarded 6/23/2011, estimated expiration 6/20/2021

electronic filing of individual and business tax and

information returns by registered Electronic Return

Originators. Returns are submitted through the Internet

capabilities, as well as assessing the need to re-

project, is an automated system designed to maximize

fraud detection at the time that tax returns are filed to

eliminate the issuing of questionable refunds.

recovery testing as well as security assessments still

to be performed.

• Planning for TS2 will begin in FY14.

and software products activities and complete virtualization of

100% of the Windows servers and implement a full

production/backup environment.

Retail Securities Services (RSS)

$M FY13 FY14 • RSS exists to enable private citizens and organizations to directly

own and maintain US Treasury securities through TreasuryDirect.

• Without RSS, Treasury would not be able to meet an obligation to

savings bond and marketable security investors, make timely

payments, issue future securities, redeems securities and service

investors.

• BPD looks to define, develop and deploy new functionality

including Virtual Case File (VCF), Floating Rate Note and a

redesigned History function.

detection, modernization of interactive voice response, and

development of a customer web service portal.
