Filling

The cartridges filled with granules are received downstream of the on-site filling system utilizing toothed-belt conveyor, portal- and twin-axis robots.

Conveying to the sterilizer

The cartridges are individually placed on the toothed-belt timed conveyor. A portal extracts the cartridges and places them in rows in prepared trays. These are fed to the sterilizer. Alternatively a bypass makes manual feed/removal of cartridges possible. A shuttle car takes care of stack onward transport.

Conveying technology in the sterilizer

The tray stack is fed to the sterilizer. As the gate opens a telescopic arm slides the tray into the sterilizer, submerges, the gate closes, the sterilizing procedure begins. In reverse order, removal of the sterile cartridges takes place.

Onward conveying from the sterilizer

The telescopic slider draws the trays from the sterilizer and buffers them on an accumula-ting conveyor. From there the path for the cartridges leads via a trackswitch for the desta-cking process. In this application solution a robot picks the cartridge, its gripper places it at 90° in a pocket-type conveyor.

Packing

Then the individual cartridges are removed from the tray with a portal or robot, as an op-tion they are placed on a conveyor or placed in a slide and fed to the vertical tubular bag machine, filled and closed. Packing and preparation for dispatch follow. .

spindling out hollow filaments The hollow filaments are spindled out in bundles of up to two met-res in length.

Transfer cutting deviceThe raw material is extracted from the rotating spindle machine and forwarded to the cutting de-vice employing TRAPO conveying technology.

Transfer robotFilter transfer and onward conveying to TRAPO loading robot.

LoadingStainless steel extraction cases are loaded with filters for transfer to the extraction device.

Unloading | Return conveying The unloading robot unloads thewashed and dried filters from the extraction cases which are conveyed back to the startingpoint.

Deliver Needle and thread are delivered. For the needle-thread combinations, various small and large formats are provided.

Removal | PackingTRAPO AG feeds the needle-thread combination of the endless aluminium foil which is furnished with a trough. A second aluminium foil is placed over it, then sealed and perforated.

Fit wire-mesh cratesThe packed needle-thread combinations are placed in stackable wire mesh boxes.

sterilizingThe stacked boxes with the needle-thread combinations are sterilized.

Removal | Onward transport After the sterilization process the trays (needle-thread combinations packed in aluminium foil) are removed from the wire mesh boxes and fed to the on-site packing section.

Packing After onward transport, the provision of the sealed, sterile needle-thread combinations joins for packaging and fully-automatic dispatch.

Filling Filling of the infusion bottles ta-kes place externally.

HandlingIndividual gripper solution makes it possible to optimize removal by robot of bottles arriving on the conveyor belt. These are placed in a prepared sterilization tray.

Load sterilizerA second robot picks the traysand places them in a rotary sterilizer.

sterilizeInfusion bottles are sterilized in autoclaves.

Removal | Onward transport Teamwork: The robot which has just filled the trays now removes the trays and prepares them for unloading. The second robot re-moves the now sterile infusion bottles and places them on a con-veyor belt for onward transport.

Drying Sterile solutions pass through the drying tunnel.

Testing High-voltage testing is performed to check for bottle damage or pos-sible foreign particles inside.

Onward transport | Checking During TRAPO quality controls,comparing label, load number andbest before date with a host ERP-System precedes labelling.Afterwards a scanner checks pre-sence and readability of the labels. If a fault occurs the bottle is rejec-ted via a slider.

Packing Via a pocket-type conveyor, sterile solutions are set upright and pa-cked comprising bottles, instructi-on leaflet and cardboard box. Here TRAPO AG also performs quality control, employing scale and sen-sor technology and documents the sealing of the carton which is sub-sequently palletized.
