A mysterious scientist by the name of David Andersonmade an eventful trip to Romania in 1999. Dr. Anderson, who is credited by the U.S. government as having devel-oped advanced time-warp field technology, establisheddiplomatic connections on this trip to Romania where healso set up an advanced research facility dedicated tostudying the mathematics of time travel.

Upon his return to the United States, Dr. Andersonvisited Preston Nichols and Peter Moon, internationallyknown authors of “The Montauk Project: Experiments inTime,” and introduced himself. At Dr. Anderson’s sug-gestion, a collaboration with Peter Moon began whichwas brief, tenuous and eventually aborted due to securityconsiderations as a result of a logistical attack on a similartime research center that had been set up on Long Island.

Dr. Anderson’s continued journeys to Romania eventuallyresulted in connecting Peter Moon with a Romanianpublisher and Radu Cinamar, a member of the RomanianIntelligence Service’s occult department. The purpose ofthis collaboration has to do with what is arguably the mostsignificant archaeological discovery in the history ofMankind: a mysterious holographic hall of records thatutilizes technology far beyond the concepts of modernscience. “Transylvanian Sunrise” is the story of thismysterious discovery and the political intrigue surround-ing it, all capably told by Radu Cinamar.

After a five year hiatus in their relationship and afterPeter Moon secured the publishing rights to this remark-able story, Dr. Anderson invited him to Romania where hehas pursued these mysteries one step further. The story isinside this book and waiting to be read.

It was after four o’clock in the morning that I foundmyself in the back seat of a van that was not only ascendingthe alps of Transylvania but was doing so at a very rapidpace. The date was July 29th, 2008, and all I could seewere deeply forested hills to either side and a short span ofa ruggedly paved road that lay ahead. The higher theelevation and the more precarious the road conditionsbecame, the more the Romanian driver seemed to push onthe accelerator.

It was only then that I began to fully realize that I hadjust flown halfway around the world and was in a verystrange country. Not only that, I was in the backyard ofDracula’s famous realm. Looking at my two companions,I sensed they might be having similar thoughts.

My two companions were Tantra Bensko and Dr. JoelCastellanos. Tantra is a multi-talented artist who I askedto accompany me for the purpose of taking video footage.Joel is a professor of mathematics at the University of NewMexico and specializes in a branch of chaos theory that isknown as fractals.

Earlier during our journey from the airport in Bucharest,we had joked about Joel being likened to the chaosscientist in the movie Jurassic Park. Now, as we travelledat a rapid clip up the alps of Transylvania, the atmospherewas a little more tension packed. The joke was revisitedbut it was a little less funny and a little more serious. None

of us knew exactly where in the hell we were really going. If there was anyone who had less reason to be frightenedor concerned, it was me because I was the only one whoactually knew the man who had arranged for us to fly toRomania in the first place.

This mysterious and unexpected trip to the alps wasactually the result of a mistake. Our midnight accommo-dations in Sinaia, a quaint mountain town known as thegateway to Transylvania, had fallen through. When thiswas discovered, the driver put me in touch with ourRomanian sponsor by cell phone. He explained the prob-lem and asked if it would be all right if we went to amountain resort for the evening instead. I accepted.

Thus it was that the three of us ended up on a wildmountain ride in the wee hours of the morning. Ourroutine travel plans having fallen through, it was now clearthat our visit had turned into an adventure with some veryunpredictable elements.

Now that I have told you of our mysterious circum-stances on the outskirts of Transylvania, it is time to tellyou how I ended up in that very unique area which hasfostered so many legends.

The story begins on August 11th, 1999. On thatevening, a man by the name of Dr. David Andersonshowed up at a monthly meeting on Long Island that usedto be hosted by Preston Nichols and myself. David wasalready a subscriber to my quarterly newsletter, TheMontauk Pulse, and he found out about our meetingsthrough a computer chat forum. After listening to a lectureby Preston that evening, David introduced himself to mewhereupon he mentioned to me that he had a time travelresearch center on Long Island.

When David told me this, I had some idea of what hewas talking about. As he had been a subscriber to The

Page 11: transunrise

B Y P E T E R M O O N

Montauk Pulse for a year, I had seen his stationery fromthe Time Travel Research Center. Despite a professionallooking logo, I simply assumed it was from a wanna-be orsome kid who decided to expend some money on statio-nery. Upon meeting David, however, I could see that I wasdead wrong. He was obviously an accomplished personand was far from an amateur. After a short chat, Davidsuggested we get together soon for lunch. I agreed.

Although I did not realize it at the time, David hadvisited us shortly after returning from Romania himself.Later, I would learn that he had also established a TimeTravel Research Center in that country.

Within a week’s time, David invited me to lunch. Hewas not only interested in the Montauk research but wasparticularly interested in learning more about the humanspirit. According to him, the cutting edge of physicsresearch kept pointing more and more to the existence ofspirituality. This was at a time when the old paradigms ofclassical physics were giving way to the more cogent andmodern theories of quantum physics. David’s scientificcredentials were impeccable. Besides having a doctor’sdegree in physics, he had been involved in highly sophis-ticated space-time research at the prestigious Air ForceFlight Test Center in the Mojave Desert. In particular,David mentioned that he was interested in my experiencesin Scientology, a subject which I have since written aboutsomewhat extensively in The Montauk Book of the Dead.

While in the Air Force, David was assigned to help outon a problem the military was having with satellites inouter space. Every year, the orbits of satellites would driftseveral meters and this created all sorts of chaos. If thisproblem was not corrected, it would result in expensivesatellites becoming useless. David’s approach to thisproblem was to create a space-time module based upon

Page 12: transunrise

T R A N S Y L V A N I A N S U N R I S E

Einstein’s theories. It was very advanced stuff, but heactually worked out a paradigm whereby space-time couldliterally be warped so as to maintain the orbits of satellites.

When he left the Air Force, David was clever enoughto patent the necessary algorithms for accomplishing thismanipulation of space-time. He then parlayed this into thecreation of the Time Travel Research Center, a corpora-tion which was essentially a security company. One of itsfunctions was to license this advanced technology to theGovernment and to industry for their satellites.

The Time Travel Research Center was a financialsuccess. Besides the facilities on Long Island and Roma-nia, there was also one in Albuquerque, New Mexico.David was intent on further research into space-time.Besides the satellites, David was using laser beams tocreate a self-contained field, approximately the size of asoccer ball, in which time could be slowed down orspeeded up. This was and is of great interest to the medicalfield because it means that transplantable organs couldhave a much longer shelf life. The Time Travel ResearchCenter was taken very seriously and attracted consider-able investment dollars from the medical sector. Cautiousabout having his research compromised or stolen, Davidwas always very careful to compartmentalize his re-searchers. They often did not know each other or what oneanother were doing. This explains, in part, why there werethree separate centers. The center in Romania, he said, wastheoretical. Romania was chosen as a location because ithas the best mathematicians in the world and their economywas such that they were also very affordable.

As life continued, David and I would periodically gettogether. He was also kind enough to put up the firstwebsite for Sky Books. One day, after a considerable spanof time when I had not heard from him, he asked me to

Page 13: transunrise

come to his home at King’s Park, Long Island. There weretwo things on his mind. First, he spoke to me aboutplanning a large event on the subject of time travel. Oneof the agendas of this event was to bring together majorphysicists, particularly those on the East Coast, and fea-ture the latest breakthroughs on time travel technology. The Montauk Project was to be featured and David wantedto give this subject as much publicity as possible.

When we finished the initial stages of the event plan-ning, David then shared something that he found ratherdisturbing. He had recently been informed by the militarythat he was to report to Moscow with only his passport andairline ticket. Concerned that he might not possibly return,he wanted me to create as much publicity as possible in theevent that he did not return within two weeks. When he didnot return in three weeks, I began to make noise on thephone. Almost immediately after I began to create aruckus, I received an email saying he was okay and wouldbe home shortly. He was fine but did not actually return foranother month. I had the email traced to an internet serverin Pakistan. To this day, however, David is not able todiscuss that he was in Pakistan or anywhere else.

Upon his return, the Time Travel Research Centerbegan to have serious security problems. It was brokeninto and he was forced to move at least twice. Eventually, the Government assured him that they would take care ofhis security problems if he would only make them apartner in his operations. With his back against the wall,David took the most accommodating position he could. He gave up controlling interest in the Time Travel ResearchCenter and went to work in private industry. The center onLong Island was shut down, but the one in Romania wasleft untouched. The Albuquerque center continued tooperate but with David as a mostly silent partner.

I did not hear much from David at all during this perioduntil April of 2003. As the Time Travel Research Centerwas defunct by that time, he wanted to give me his ratherextensive library. We agreed to meet on Easter Sundaynear his new home in Rochester, New York. PrestonNichols accompanied me, and we ended up meeting withDavid on the Saturday before Easter in the early evening. After loading up Preston’s van, David visited with us forabout twenty minutes. At the end of our visit, he said hewould not be able to work with us for five years. It was allrather mysterious as he was not at liberty to reveal all of hisproblems or plans.

It was disappointing to lose a friend, particularly oneas intriguing as David Anderson. I, however, had plenty ofwriting and business to take care of. On very rare occa-sions, I would receive a postcard from him, always froma foreign country, or a friendly email. He always signs hiscommunications to me as “Your friend in time.”

Several months after saying good-bye to David inRochester, I received a manuscript from Sorin Hurmuz, aRomanian publisher who has published The MontaukProject in the Romanian language. He wanted to know ifI would be interested in publishing a very special book. Itis more than a special book to him because it literallycatapulted his publishing company into reality. In Roma-nian, this book is called The Enemy Within and is by RaduCinamar. It begins with two mysterious features.

The first of these mysteries is an anomalous area in theBucegi Mountains of Romania which is located not too farfrom the enigmatic Romanian Sphinx. This anomalousarea is the focus of the book you are about to read. It cameto the attention of the Romanian government whenAmerican satellite technology revealed a hidden and inac-cessible chamber within a mountain under the Sphinx.

Page 15: transunrise

B Y P E T E R M O O N

The second mysterious feature in the book concerns ababy born with an abnormally large umbilical cord. Thisbaby was heavily monitored by a secret department ofRomanian Intelligence which includes a liaison with amysterious doctor from Red China. As the baby grew up,he demonstrated remarkable abilities and was eventuallyselected to work as the head of a secret department inRomanian Intelligence. His primary duties are concernedwith monitoring this anomalous area in the Bucegi Moun-tains as well as other anomalous areas.

The Romanian book sent to me was already translatedinto English. It was pretty well written and an easy read.I, however, was too busy to read it. The manuscriptlanguished on my desk, unread. Four years later, I had ahouse guest visiting me who was also a fan of my work.Having some time on his hands, I suggested he read thebook and tell me if it was any good. He finished it in a fewdays and was extremely enthusiastic about me publishingit. When he left, I found myself with an opportunity to readit. The heater in my car had gone bad and needed extensiverepair. I took it to a friend in Brooklyn and read themanuscript while his crew worked on my car for manyhours. I finally finished reading the book.

At the beginning of 2008, I began negotiations withmy Romanian publisher to secure the English translationrights to the book. By spring time, we had reached anagreement. Mentioning the circumstances, negotiationsand timing of the agreement as well as how I came to reada book might seem to be irrelevant in most cases. In thisparticular instance, however, the timing was uncanny.

Almost immediately after completing the agreementto publish this book, I received an email from my friend,Dr. David Anderson. He was inviting me to Romania, allexpenses paid, to visit an annual conference known as

Page 16: transunrise

T R A N S Y L V A N I A N S U N R I S E

Atlantykron. This is a gathering of scientists, writers, andartists which is dedicated to educating and providingopportunity for Romanian youth. Part of the package wasthat I would also receive a three-day cultural tour ofRomania. Of further irony was the fact that David’s emailarrived almost exactly five years after our last face-to-facemeeting. He was not only true to his word, it was as if hewas aware of some mysterious time clock concerningcertain events.

You now have some of the perspective that I had whenI came to finish reading the book you are about to read. Most importantly, this book informs us of events that areoccurring in the world which extend far beyond theconsciousness of ordinary citizens. I was not only beingmade aware of them through my contacts in Romania, Iwas also being pulled onto the stage myself.

The drama you are about to read apparently reaches farbeyond my own personal involvement which seems to berather minimal but not insignificant. It is presented by theauthor as nonfiction and there is considerable reason toaccept his story as such. These reasons will be presentedat the end of the book in the epilogue where I will alsoinclude a synopsis of my trip to Romania and my eventualreunion with Dr. David Anderson.
