NATROAD Conference 2017 • Reef View Hotel, Hamilton Island • 5-6 September 2017 5

Welcome to the 2017 NatRoad Conference!

I’m thrilled you’ve chosen to take part in our

program of sessions specially designed to equip

your business for the future.

The road transport industry is facing a period of

rapid innovation and challenge. The combined

impacts of new technology, safety regulations, and

an ageing workforce means that now is the time to

get into gear and transition your business to

remain competitive.

Over the next few days you’ll hear experts

discussing key industry issues, meet your peers in

the transport industry and find out how to future-

proof your business. Some of the highlights I’m

personally looking forward to include hearing first-

hand about technology changes, how we improve

bottom-line and look after the environment.

The NatRoad Parliament will be held on Wednesday

and I’d strongly encourage you to come along and

give your input on the key focus and initiatives

for NatRoad over the coming year. We have a new

format this year that I’m sure will provide additional

clarity for everyone involved.

As always, we welcome your feedback and input on

how we can improve our conference. A survey will

be sent to all delegates shortly after we finish up at

Hamilton Island. I encourage you to participate in

the survey to ensure we can continue to deliver you

relevant sessions and a great social program.

We look forward to seeing you over the next three

days.

Kind Regards,

Warren Clark

Thermo King Having given birth to the refrigerated transport industry in 1938, Thermo King has been providing innovative transport refrigeration choices that deliver unsurpassed design,

performance and reliability to the global market for almost 80 years now.

Thermo King Corporation and the Thermo King Dealers of Australia are proud to offer once again, free of charge to NatRoad for auction at the 2017 Natroad conference, the very latest addition to the Precedent Trailer model range.

Installed and commissioned free of charge by the Thermo King Dealers of Australia, the winning bid value goes in its entirety to help fund your association, NATROAD in its valuable work for the benefit of members and the Transport community at large.

This, our 13th such auction donation since commencing at NatRoad 2005 Conference, will be the Precedent model G-700, recently unveiled at Brisbane Truck Show for the first time.

Joining its established siblings in the Precedent family on the Australian market, the G-700 greatly benefits from a diesel direct electric architecture, two-speed electric evaporator blower, microchannel condenser coils and temperature control design to help the operator save fuel across real-world applications.

The state-of-the-art Smart Reefer SR-4 programmable microprocessor controller allows for changing set points and operating modes, viewing gauges, sensors, initiating defrost cycles, performing full diagnostic pre-trip verification via intuitive screen-guided full English text.

‘Optiset Plus’ technology provides possibility for tailored “named profiles” for optimum cargo protection via customer nominated specific products (e.g., “Strawberries”) so that there is never any doubt about system settings for ideal set-point temperature, operating mode, airflow and other parameters.

Historical operating data is accessible via a standard USB port , also used to update customer Optiset Plus profiles and unit software settings.

The unit comes equipped and ready to communicate with local Telematics systems providers to access real-time data; and adjust and monitor operation from afar.

With the G-700, built exclusively for US export markets, customers outside of North America now have a choice of engine configurations in the Precedent single temp platform:

The established and certified world’s cleanest full >25h.p. category Precedent S-600 & S-700 with electronic injection to meet and beat US EPA and California emissions limits , alongside the mechanical injection G-700 matching current European emissions specs.

Precedent G-700 is powered by a reconfigured version of the time proven mechanically injected engine that powered the supremely successful SB-330 model.

The export market customer can now make their own choice on the balance between competing emissions and cost priorities, without accepting a power plant

that has been de-rated to < 25 hp specifically to achieve

the (Less Clean) US emissions limits in that smaller

engine h.p. category.

Once again, the Thermo King authorised dealer group

will be presenting the result of the dealer funding

support for NatRoad over the past year selling

equipment to NatRoad members across Australia.

We look forward to meeting you at Hamilton Island.

Safe-T-StopSafe-T-Stop is an industry leading drive over brake test lane for heavy

vehicles, delivering brake performance and balance measurements along with axle weights and weight distribution readings.

Brake testing for heavy vehicles is the hot topic right now across the industry. With the recent changes to the NHVR standards now in play, along with nationwide interest in “chain of responsibility” issues, it is no wonder brake testing and safety is high on everyone’s agenda.

A Safe-T-Stop heavy vehicle brake test lane is an Australian designed and manufactured solution to meet local conditions and workshop requirements.

Safe-T-Stop delivers a low speed, safe and efficient solution for heavy vehicle brake testing in the safety of the workshop – not on public roads or driveways!

A Safe-T-Stop heavy vehicle brake test lane can be deployed inside or outside, making it viable for nearly any workshop, operator, local authority or government department.

High quality, reliable, easy and safe to use are all hallmarks of the Safe-T-Stop test lane. Regular and effective brake testing is our motto and with extremely competitive pricing models, there are now no barriers to any workshop having access to this world class solution.
