No prerequisites! What is Rhythmic Movement Training? RMT is a practice dedicated to bringing integration and balance to children and adults with specific learning obstacles including ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, coordination difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and sensory processing disorder. It can also benefit people with mild to severe emotional and behavioural challenges, anxiety, panic, and general life overwhelm. People experiencing later in life issues, like Vertigo and Parkinson’s disease, have benefitted from using RMT. The practice of RMT evolved from studying the role of movement and reflex patterns that babies naturally make from conception through to walking. Kerstin Linde, the originator, modified these natural activities and patterns into a movement program for working with children with developmental delays. Harald Blomberg M.D. extended this information into a reflex integration system. Moira Dempsey also revised this information for working more easily with infant reflexes and contributed the kinesiology framework and additional information on emotional development.
