ISO 22301 Lead Auditor is a 5-day instructor-led course that teaches the principles and practices of independent auditing of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and guides the student through the audit process using a balance of formal instruction and practical case study activities.The course provides students with the skills and knowledge to conduct and lead effective business continuity management system audits in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22301: 2012, ISO 19011: 2012, and ISO 17022: 2012 and an in-depth study of each of these standards as well as ISO 22313: 2012.

Message Development Developing the right message for the right audience at the right time is as much an art as a science. The Crisis Communications Team The Crisis Communications Team executes the plan, but the members are often unwilling, untrained or otherwise unprepared to accomplish their vital tasks. We will discuss the membership of the team and the individual roles of each member. Writing the Crisis Communications Plan We will list and consider the essential elements that should be included in a crisis communications plan and show you the specific questions you must ask and documents you must examine to construct a plan. We will identify in great detail what to do and what to avoid when responding to a crisis event. Lastly we will discuss how to assess communications performance before, during and after a communications crisis. Kenny Seow has over 28 years of international

experience in disaster recovery, business

continuity and crisis management in banking,

education, aviation, health, logistics and

government. He is a Partner at Riskwest, an

Australia-based consulting practice that

government, community service organisations and private sector

companies in the region.

Kenny speaks regularly at seminars and conferences, and has

conducted training and presented papers on business continuity in

Australia, United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, China,

Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. Kenny was conferred the

Australasia and Global BCI Awards for Continuity and Resilience

Consultant 2017.

Kenny is a Member of the BCI (MBCI), an Approved BCI Instructor,

22301 Lead Auditor and Trainer. He has a Bachelor degree in

Course Description This course is a comprehensive learning opportunity covering all aspects of developing and implementing an incident response structure and crisis management capability. It begins with learning how to build an incident response structure (as introduced in the Design stage of the Business Continuity Management Lifecycle) and goes beyond incident management into learning how to build a crisis management capability in an organisation. This course provides the continuity and resilience professional with the opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of this subject as well as the opportunity to apply this knowledge in the classroom using a case study and an exercise. The course is broken down into modules, exploring the concepts, principles of incident and crisis management and what tools and techniques can be applied in anticipating and assessing incidents as well as the key activities, roles and responsibilities required for effective incident and crisis management. This course is based on the Good Practice Guidelines and reflects the current global thinking from ISO 22301:2012, and BS 11200:2014.

Course Objectives The objectives of this training course are to provide students with the ability to:

• Understand the principles, strategies and techniques for incident response and crisis management;

• Develop the knowledge and skills necessary for implementing an effective structure and processes for responding to and managing incidents and crises.

Business Continuity and resilience practitioners who require an in depth knowledge and understanding of how to build and an incident and crisis management capability in an organization.
