Esistono due correnti di pensiero sull’origine della

lavorazione del vetro di Murano: una la attribuisce

ai Fenici, l’altra ai Romani. Quel che è certo è che

si tratta di un’arte antichissima e che la prima ci-

tazione di un maestro soffiatore muranese si trova

in un documento del X secolo. Anche se dopo

oltre mille anni i ferri del mestiere e le tecniche

di lavorazione sono rimasti pressoché immutati,

talvolta la fantasia dei maestri vetrai si è evoluta

nel segno della contemporaneità.

Come accade per Lu Murano che non è solo il

marchio dell’azienda Vetreria Fornasier Luigi, ma

anche una collezione esclusiva di lampadari fatti

a mano. Un equilibrio virtuoso di vetro e di luce,

due materie trasparenti che attraverso la manualità

del maestro, artista e imprenditore Fabio Fornasier,

rivelano nuove potenzialità e sincronie. Pur nel

solco della tradizione muranese, Fornasier rompe

gli schemi per imporsi con oggetti di artigianato

evoluto, che richiamano costantemente la cultura

di un mestiere legato al territorio e alla sua storia.

Interamente fatto a mano e soffiato a bocca,

ogni lampadario è unico e rappresenta il perfetto

connubio tra creatività tecnologica e tradizione. È

un pezzo di design contemporaneo declinato in

colori, trasparenze e riflessi, che racconta l’atto

creativo dell’artista e la sua ricerca personale,

oltre le mode o le esigenze del mercato. Fino al

31 gennaio 2013, i lampadari Lu Murano saranno

esposti alla mostra “Tradizione e Innovazione -

L’Italia in Cina”, presso lo Shanghai Italian Center,

il Padiglione sviluppato dalla Triennale di Milano.

cLUb e LUngo

La vulcanica creatività del maestro Fornasier, ha arricchito la Collezione LU Murano di due nuovi modelli: cLUb e LUngo. Il primo è una sospensione, modulabile e sviluppabile orizzontalmente, ideata e realizzata per l’illuminazione di bar, ristoranti e hotel, il cui modello base è composto da 60 elementi. Il secondo è un lampadario in vetro soffiato modulabile che si sviluppa verticalmente. Il modello base è realizzato su tre livelli, dai diametri contenuti (cm. 80, 60 e 50), con 36 elementi in vetro soffiato e acidato, 12 per livello.

There are two currents of thought on the origins of the processing of the Murano Glass: one attributes it to the Phoenicians, the other to the Romans. What is for sure, is that it is a very ancient art and that the first citation of a Master Blower from Murano can be found in a document from the X century. Even though after more than a thousand years the trade instruments and the processing techniques have remained practically unchanged, occasionally the creativity of the Master Glaziers has evolved towards contemporaneousness.As is the case for Lu Murano, which is not only the brand of the Glass-making company Fornasier Luigi, but also an exclusive collection of hand-crafted chandeliers. A brilliant balance between glass and light, two transparent materials, which reveal new potential and synchronies through the dexterity of the Master, craftsman and entrepreneur Fabio Fornasier. While still within the mark of the Murano tradition, Fornasier breaks the schemes to impose himself with objects of evolved craftsmanship, which constantly evoke the culture of a trade that is linked to its territory and history. Fully hand-made and mouth-blown, each chandelier is unique and represents the perfect union between technological creativity and tradition. It is a piece of contemporary design through colors, transparencies and reflections, which tells the story about the creative act of the artisan and his personal search, beyond market trends or demands. Until January 31 2013, the Lu Murano chandeliers will be displayed at the exhibit “Tradizione e Innovazione - L’Italia in Cina” (“Tradition and Innovation - Italy in China”), at the Shanghai Italian Center, the Pavilion developed by the Triennale of Milan.
