DIRECT REDUCTION TOREX performs research work on direct reduction processes. We have prepared procedures on mixed material composition improvement with the purpose of DR-grade pellet production. Such procedures meet the requirements of HYL, ITmk3 and MIDREX. During laboratory and pilot tests, high quality of the DR product and cast iron granules from titanium-magnetite and hematite concentrates has been obtained. Research and development of new DR process: Shaft Furnace, non-reformer gas DR Rotating hearth furnace (ITmk3) PELLETIZING We develop thermal circuits for straight (aka travelling-grate) indurating machines tailored to the type and chemical properties of raw materials (feed) and requirements to the product.
