EMPLOYMENT Form 3 Design (BC, Canada) - Industrial Designer June 2015 - August 2015 & March 2016 - June 2016 Form 3 Design are the leading Industrial Design Consultancy in Western Canada and have been developing products since 1997 for global clients. I was employed on a contract basis as an industrial designer to assist with new client projects. [www.form3.com] I was given immediate responsibility for my own projects, as well as assisting on others, and worked with the team to develop them to the company standard. Progressed projects through initial ideation, design development, in-house prototyping and onto phase one product prototyping within a short term. Developed complex mechatronic products utilising a variety of electro-mechanical components with digital control. Hosted client meetings to ensure the project stayed on track and achieved their given specifications. Handled the selection and outsourcing of specialised and standard components from international suppliers. Supplemented limited in-house workshop facilities with my own equipment to produce one-off prototypes and test rigs. Feature Film Special Effects (BC, Canada) - SPFX Technician March 2015 - June 2015 & September 2016 - March 2016 Special Effects (mechanical/practical/physical) is a core component of film and television production. I was employed by one of the top SPFX coordinators in Canada, Joel Whist, and worked on Steven Spielberg's The BFG (2016) and War For The Planet Of The Apes (2017). Here, I developed mechanised props & sets, atmospheric effects (weather), scenery and pyrotechnics used in filming. Designed, manufactured and operated sophisticated bespoke mechanical systems for creating physical effects in filming. Developed systems and mechanisms utilising a broad range of practical disciplines including hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, fabrication, wood-working, silicone mould making and pyrotechnics. Within weeks of joining the SPFX team, I was selected to work on-set alongside Steven Spielberg and his principal photography crew. Responsible for designing, installing and operating complex pyrotechnic systems where safety was a critical consideration as actors and crew members worked in close proximity to these effects. In addition, provided descriptive safety briefings. Working and performing under rigorous scrutiny and pressure when running highly featured effects or managing my own. Being creative and to utilise only the resources at hand on the film-set to achieve spontaneous practical effect requests from the director. Operated heavy-duty machinery amongst fragile sets and around expensive camera equipment with care and precision.

Frozen Fish Design - Technical Design Engineer February 2013 - June 2014 Frozen Fish Design (FFD) is a consultancy based in South West London, UK which specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke products, prototypes or small batch productions. FFD approach projects from a technical perspective and utilise in-house workshop facilities to fully realise their client's concepts prior to dispatch and site installation. • Fully designed and engineered client concepts, transforming them from an idea to a fully operational product. • Independently managed projects from genesis, through manufacture and on to distribution and installation - working to

demanding lead times, often only covering 2-4 weeks. • Worked directly with in-house freelance machinists and model makers, managing their daily work requirements to

complete projects on time. • Liaised with fabricators and suppliers to understand their capabilities, adapting designs to accommodate factors. • Assisted with the manufacture of products gaining experience from qualified freelance employees and strengthening an
