certificate in computer skills provide training for visually impaired peers at inclusive partner
schools and institutions.

to enable economically marginalized, visually impaired individuals to enroll at College and
University or to embark on own sustainable business.
Rehabilitative Shelter for Women with Visual Impairment and their Children: Besides
HIV/AIDS-, disability- and gender mainstreaming, Together! takes affirmative gender-sensitive
action and provides visually impaired females and their children in hazardous living situations

and are given individual attention in regard to health and medical access for their proper
physical, mental and intellectual development.
Dialogue and Dinner in the Dark: Besides rehabilitation, education and capacity building

facilitates occasions of cultural and social encounters in complete darkness addressing the
sighted community.
Support Together!...
... through Individual Scholarships:
Throughout the past year, Together! has supported almost 50 visually impaired individuals to
embark on sustainable small business or enroll for tertiary education. Successful graduation
from University or College enhances chances of employment and is a very promising way for
visually impaired young individuals to overcome socio-economic marginalization and lead safe
and healthy lives as fully and actively participating members of the society.
This year again, Together! would like to support highly motivated applicants in their tertiary
education. To cover the College or University registration and course fees, study materials and
transportation costs for one visually impaired student – 30 Euro per month for 3 years –
Together! is in urgent need of new sponsors.
