“My directive to Army troops in Basi-lan is to seek justicefor the 19 SpecialForces and other vic-
tims through continu-ous pursuit and intel-ligence operation tolocate and neutralizeall lawless elementsand Abu Sayyaf Group(ASG),” sinabi ni Lt.Gen. Arturo Ortiz, ku-mander ng Army.
Nitong Lunes ay sinabi ni Von Al Haq,tagapagsalita ng MILF,na alam nila ang ga-

“If that happens, it will surely affect thepeace process and ourforces there will de-fend their positions
with their blood,”aniya.
Bilang sagot, sina-bi ni Abigail Valte, deputy spokespersonng Malacañang: “Wehave made it clearfrom the onset thatthis is not against theMILF as an entity but

TV5’s Sa Ngalan ng Ina, thecomeback TV mini-series of Superstar Nora Aunor cutsclean with honors, dispellingthe unreliable reports of supposedly poor-ratingmade by surveys commis-sioned by other TV net-
works. This is the result of an unstructured survey con-ducted this month by PUPSto Tomas Office of Manage-ment Technology (OMT) stu-dents led by Ogie Pigar.
The report shows that 4-5out of 10 household-respon-dents viewed Sa Ngalan ng Ina(SNNI) religiously since its ini-
tial telecast on Oct. 3. The sur-
veyor-researchers covered theareas of Tanay, Rizal; Cavite; Bi-nan, Laguna; Mamatid,Cabuyao, Laguna; Liliw, Lagu-na; Alaminos, Laguna; Miles Be-larmino, San Pablo City; Real,Calamba City; Los Banos, Lagu-na; Sto. Tomas, Batangas; LipaCity; Calaca, Batangas; Mu-lanay, Quezon; Sorsogon; andTacloban.
OMT President Ogie Pigarnoted that cable subscribers arethe regular patrons of SNNI
while the rest expressed disap-pointment due to poor TV5 re-ception in their localities. Thelate time slot also proved prob-lematic for elder viewers andearly risers, Pigar added.
The survey also revealed that
college students caught up withthe delayed viewing of SNNI posted on YouTube. More than30,000 netizens have followed it.
As reported by AGB NielsenPhilippines, SNNI has held itsratings at 3.6% - 4.3% in theMega Manila Household Rat-ings category. The soap alsomanaged to secure 29 commer-cial spots as a newbie TV5 fea-ture.
Top critic Nestor Torre wrotepostively of Sa Ngalan ng Ina,saying that the series “success-fully remind[ed] viewers [of]the iconic actress Nora Aunor'sexceptional ability…her “nativeintelligence” as a thespian is ev-ident in all her scenes, big or
small.” NORA
