Chess Games were organized in our institution by the Chess Federation for the Physically

Disabled on 10th June 2018. The Honorary Secretary Sri M. Venkatesaperumal visited the venue and had a conversation with the players. Sri G. Kanickai Irudhayaraj, Secretary of the Chess Federation for Physically Disabled was present. He thanked our secretary for providing a location for the chess games.

Our institution has started offering an undergraduate course in Criminology and

Police Administration from this academic year. This is another step by our management in offering courses which are usually not easily accessible to prospective college students of Tiruvallur District. Also, what is commendable is the nominal fee charged by our institution towards encouraging people from all classes to get formal education. The idea of starting such a course was born when our Honorary Secretary Sri M. Venkatesaperumal had planned to conduct an international conference on Cyber Crime in our institution. The Dignitaries who attended the conference suggested to the Secretary that if our institution were to offer a course in Criminology then it would be a nice way of carrying forward the spirit of the conference. Our Honorary Secretary readily agreed and as a result this course is being offered.

This course was inaugurated on the 11th of June 2018 in the presence of our Honorary Secretary Sri M.Venkatesaperumal and two other dignitaries – Dr.R.Thilagaraj, former Professor and Head, Department of Criminology, University of Madras and Dr.S. Latha, Assistant Professor, Department of Criminology, University of Madras. The inauguration began by seeking the blessings of the founder couple. The students of the department and their parents were the audience for the inaugural function. The Chief Guests congratulated the institution for having chosen to start the course. The Secretary Sri M.Venkatesaperumal wished the department all success. The Principal Dr.V.Lakshmi and the Director R & D, Dr.N.Rajendra Naidu spoke to the students and encouraged them to study well and secure top ranks in the University Examinations. Dr. Remya Mariam Raju has been appointed as the Head of the Department. The classes commenced right after the inauguration.
