TIPPECANOE MIDDLE SCHOOL MARCH 2012 NEWSLETTER The mission of Tippecanoe Middle School is to provide educational experiences that are a continuation of the intermediate school and a transition to the high school focusing on academic, social, emotional, and physical growth in a nurturing environment that will contribute to success as responsible students and citizens. FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK: Congratulations to all of our winter athletes, artists, scientists, writers, and students for their accomplishments these last few weeks. They have risen to the occasion and have made us very proud of them. I would also like to thank all of the parents and people who use our back parking lot in the mornings. The new traffic flow and drop off points have made it much safer for our students. As a reminder, please do not drive through the bus unloading areas or the sidewalk between Nevin and the middle school before or after school. Let’s continue to work together to continue to provide a safe environment for our students. According to the groundhog, spring is right around the corner and so is the Ohio Achievement Assessment. It is very important that students are in attendance and focused each day. Please highlight the week of April 30th as testing week on your calendars. Parents if you have questions you would like addressed please send them to me at [email protected]. Congratulations to our December/January Students of the Month: 6 th graders – Sara Freyre, Paul Couch, Alea Leganik, Evan Hill; 7 th Graders – Richie Robbins, Mary Kate Lee, Cameron Martin, Abbi Halsey, and 8 th graders Spencer Ranft, Alisha Bhagwat, Luke Becker and Brandon Gotthardt! The students received a certificate to the Texas Roadhouse for a free sandwich & fries. “Tolerance” was the theme for the months of December/January. Great job students! If you have UNPAID School Fees please contact the Office @ 667-8454 to set up a payment plan. Unpaid fees may result in being denied certain privileges such as attending and/or receiving an award, athletic participation, ordering a yearbook, dances, field day, etc. PLEASE note balances do carry forward from year to year and building to building. Tippecanoe Middle Schools current balance of outstanding school fees is: $5,700.00.
