Summary These courses are between 225 and 480 nominal hours, depending on the level, and can be completed in six months or a year.
An accredited certificate will be issued after successful completion of a certificate level. Students who successfully complete one or more units of competency within a Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment. These qualifications are recognized nationally.
This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth funding (subject to meeting eligibility criteria). Fee for Service is also available.

Accredited literacy courses currently offered: 22234VIC Course in Initial General Education for
Adults
22235VIC Certificate I General Education for Adults (Introductory)
22236VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults
22237VIC Certificate II in General Education for Adults
22238VIC Certificate III in General Education for Adults
These courses are designed to provide students with general education skills in reading and writing, oral communication, numeracy and mathematics; along with special interest electives and the developing of a learning plan and portfolio
Option of Day/Evening and weekend classes. Classes will commence depending on the demand.
Recognition of prior learning or 'Recognition of Current Competency' may be available based on skills and knowledge acquired by the applicant through previous study, informal or formal learning, or from work and/or life experience.
commUnity+ recognises Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) qualifications and Statements of Attainments issued by other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). Credit will therefore be given for units of competency for which an original official certificate or Statement of Attainments is produced.
