Current Topics in Farm & Forest Health: Climate Change
Program Description
A variety of factors can affect forest, range, and
crop-land health. Current Topics is an annual
program that provides landowners and managers
with some of the latest information on issues that
impact the achievement of land management
goals.
This year’s program will focus on climate change.
Topics will include the implications of climate
change for pests and diseases of agricultural
crops, cattle and livestock grazing systems, the
spread and control of invasive plants (weeds), and
forest insects—all with a focus on our area. The
program will begin with an introduction to the topic
of climate change, and some of the expected
effects of climate change.
