The ASVAB test (also known as the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test) will be administered on Tuesday, April 10 9 a.m. at LHS. This test is available to students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.

ASVAB scores are used to determine if you are qualified to enlist in the military and to assign you to an appropriate job in the military.

Taking the test does not obligate you or register you for military service.

Students can sign up for the ASVAB in counseling or they can email Mr. Magyar (Career Specialist) or Mrs. Augsburger (Career Specialist) at [email protected] and [email protected]

There will be an SAT/ACT Workshop on Friday, February 9 from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at White Knoll High School. The cost is $30. Please make checks available to LHS. Refunds will not be given if your child does not attend the workshop. Transportation will not be provided to LHS. Students will be expected to make-up any missed assignments. Permission slips are located in the Counseling Office.

Any sophomore or junior interested in taking dual

credit courses next year should attend an information meeting on Thursday, February 15 at the beginning of

Middle Block in the Little Theater. LOST AND FOUND CLEANOUT!

The lost and found is overflowing again and needs to be cleaned out. If you are missing an item such as a water bottle, lunch box or jacket, please come to the main office to claim it. The deadline to

claim items is Friday. All unclaimed items will be donated to charity. The Miss Wildcat Pageant is this Saturday, February 3 at 7 p.m. in the LOPAC. Advance tickets for the Miss Wildcat pageant will be on sale in the Main Office on Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Advance tickets are $10 – cash or check (payable to LWABC). Any available tickets will be sold at the door beginning at 6:15 p.m. Saturday. Door tickets will be $15, so get yours early!

National College Fair Highly recommend for 9th-11th graders This is the one massive college fair that tours the country and only comes through once a year. You must register (for free) in advance. Take your admission ticket with you and a tote bag to hold all of the marketing info and giveaways. Click here to find your city and save your spot. Parents are welcome to go in with their kids. Nothing brings a smile like chocolate! You can bring a smile to someone’s face by surprising them on Valentine's Day with a chocolate bar wrapped in a sweet message. National Honor Society students will be selling chocolate bars for $1 each in the cafeteria during all ILT’s on February 7, 8, and 9. Purchase a chocolate bar for a friend or special someone and fill out the message form to go with the bar. The sweet surprises will be delivered to students’ ILT classes on Valentine’s Day.

Unified PE2 is an elective course for rising juniors and seniors that have satisfied their PE1 requirement. The course is a training program for Special Olympics. Peer “Partners” work with the Special Olympic Athletes in preparation for Special Olympics competition. Partners are required to actively participate daily with the athletes, as well as attend off campus athletic events. If you are interested in joining Unified PE for the 2018-2019 school year, please see your counselor and pick up an application packet! Deadline to apply is February 28.
