Its multitude of designs allows a wide range of industrial applications. It is used in foundries (e.g., for drying and preheating) and in the engineering industry (e.g., for annealing, bending, heat treatment, soldering and shrinking) as well as in the food industry (e.g., for baking, frying, roasting), and the textile industry (e.g., for heating of calendar rolls). Succinctly, the burner can be employed in all areas where single flame burners cannot be used anymore due to smaller combustion chambers or where a very specific consistent heating is required (e.g., the flame being used as a tool). However, due to its robust and compact design, the burner has proved itself successful as a single flame burner (e.g., in crucible melting furnaces, for heating the suspension of the glass melting tanks or for tube bending presses). The three-chamber burner is a pre-mixture burner with a forced air supply. Here, the primary air inside the mixer uses an injector to draw in the gas. The mixture reaches the main nozzle through the lower part of the burner head (first chamber) and flows through the auxiliary bores into the expansion chamber (second chamber). Due to the low velocity of the mixture inside the expansion chamber, the flame that exits from the annular space around the inner nozzle stabilizes the flame of the main nozzle. Hence, a very high mixture exit velocity from the main nozzle can selected. The secondary air required for the complete combustion is diverted a short distance upstream of the mixing device and channeled via a separate line into the upper portion of the burner head (third chamber). The separately supplied air causes an efficient burning of the gas/air mixture. Thus, the burner can be operated with a stoichiometric mixture in a perfectly sealed combustion chamber. Due to the intensive mixing of gas and air, short-flame burning is achieved (peak temperature up to 1,800°C) that allows high loading of the combustion chamber. The flames burn thereby with a very precisely defined core. The three-chamber burner consists of the following components: Burner housing (or burner head), nozzle, mixture and secondary air pipe as well as the mixing unit. Three-chamber burner DKBPreferably, the three-chamber burner is designed as a multi-ame burner.

Succinctly, the burner can be employed in all areas where single ame burners cannot be used anymore due to smaller combustion chambers or where a very specic consistent heating is required (e.g., the ame being used as a tool).

However, due to its robust and compact design, the burner has proved itself successful as a single ame burner (e.g., in crucible melting furnaces, for heating the suspension of the glass melting tanks or for tube bending presses).

The three-chamber burner is a pre-mixture burner with a forced air supply. Here, the primary air inside the mixer uses an injector to draw in the gas. The mixture reaches the main nozzle through the lower part of the burner head (rst chamber) and ows through the auxiliary bores into the expansion chamber (second chamber). Due to the low velocity of the mixture inside the expansion chamber, the ame that exits from the annular space around the inner nozzle stabilizes the ame of the main nozzle. Hence, a very high mixture exit velocity from the main nozzle can selected. The secondary air required for the complete combustion is diverted a short distance upstream of the mixing device and channeled via a separate line into the upper portion of the burner head (third chamber). The separately supplied air causes an efcient burning of the gas/air mixture. Thus, the burner can be operated with a stoichiometric mixture in a perfectly sealed combustion chamber. Due to the intensive mixing of gas and air, short-ame burning is achieved (peak temperature up to 1,800°C) that allows high loading of the combustion chamber. The ames burn thereby with a very precisely dened core. The three-chamber burner consists of the following components: Burner housing (or burner head), nozzle, mixture and secondary air pipe as well as the mixing unit.

Three-chamber burner DKB

We manufacture:

Three-chamber pot burners with cylindrical burner head, tted with a single nozzle or several nozzles.

Three-chamber conical burners with cone-shaped burner head, tted with several nozzles on the conical shell.

Three-chamber longitudinal burners, made with oval or rectangular cross-section cast iron housings, available in lengths up to 2,000 mm, or longer welded steel housings, tted with a single row or several rows of nozzles.

These burners are intended for operation with coke gas (city gas) from 5 to 20 mbar, natural gas from 20 to 30 mbar, and liquid gas from 30 to 50 mbar. On the air side, a pressure of 50 mbar is required; however, the burners can be adjusted to operate with compressed air.

Upon request, the burners can be tted with ignition, monitoring, and control modules. The burners are cont-rollable in a 1:5 ratio. The design conguration and the dimensions of these burners are determined by the required output and the conditions. Please, tell us exactly what you need.

We consult, plan, manufacture, and deliver DBK three-chamber burners based on your requirements. Send us your specications.
