APPLICATION FOR 2016 NSDCAR APPOINTMENTS
CALLING INTERESTED MEMBERS FOR NSDCAR CHAIR APPOINTMENTS The NSDCAR Board of Directors will shortly be making its appointments for several NSDCAR appointments and is seeking interested members for these positions. The NSDCAR Board of Directors will be making its appointment selections at its October or November meeting. Deadline to apply is Friday, October 2, 2015. To apply, fill out the application form below and return toNSDCAR, attention Dianne McMillan.
AUDIT COMMITTEE MEMBER: The Board is seeking candidates for two committeemembers. The Association Treasurer automatically serves as the Chair. The Committee solicits and reviews applications for an auditor of the Association's financials and makes a recommendation to the Board of Directors for the engagement of the auditor. The committee will review with the auditor any problems encountered in performing the audit, and of any management letter provided by the auditor. This is a one-year appointment that will run from January 1 through December 31, 2016.
GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE CHAIR: The Committee determines whether a complaint, on itsface, merits a formal Hearing on the matter by a Panel of the Professional Standards Committee. This is a one-year appointment that will run from January 1 through December 31, 2016. A Chair may reapply for additional terms as Chair. Applicant must have at least1 year prior experience on the NSDCAR Grievance Committee.
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS COMMITTEE CHAIR: The Committee hears complaints inmatters of ethics and conducts mediation and arbitration hearings. Applicants must be current in their training in the Professional Standards process. This is a one-year appointment that will run from January 1 through December 31, 2016. The Chair may reapply for additionalterms as Chair. Applicant must have at least 1 year prior experience on the NSDCAR Professional Standards Committee.
SANDICOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE CHAIR: Chairs the NSDCAR committee comprised ofappointees from each Coordinating Committee and whose function it is to provide advice and input to Sandicor through the Association's representatives on the various Sandicor committees (see below), and to review requests for listing type variance. The Committee normally meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in Vista. This is a one-year term that will run from January 1 through December 31, 2016. A Chair may reapply for additional terms.

The NSDCAR Board of Directors will be making its appointment selections at its November meeting. Deadline to apply is Friday, October 2, 2015. SANDICOR DIRECTOR: This is an appointment by NSDCAR to serve on the Sandicor Board of Directors for the two-year term beginning January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2017. Directors may reapply for additional two-year appointments. The Sandicor Board meets every other month, usually on the third Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., at the Sandicor offices on Oberlin Drive in San Diego. The person named to this position will also be expected to attend the NSDCAR Sandicor Advisory Committee, which normally meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in Vista. The new Sandicor Director will be expected to be available to report to the NSDCAR Board of Directors from time to time. The NSDCAR Board normally meets at 9:00 a.m. on the second Thursday of themonth in Vista.
SANDICOR BUDGET & FINANCE COMMITTEE: There are three (3) two-year appointments. Members will be named on a rotating basis. The committee reviews Sandicor's financial operations on at least a quarterly basis and makes recommendations to the Sandicor Board of Directors regarding monthly financials, annual budgets, capital purchases and related financial policies. Meetings are normally held on the second Tuesday of the month. The member appointed will automatically be amember of the NSDCAR Sandicor Advisory Committee and is expected to attend those meetings on the second Tuesday of the month to report.
SANDICOR RULES/HEARINGS COMMITTEE: There are three (3) two-year appointments.Members will be named on a rotating basis. Members of the committee may reapply for additional two-year appointments. Candidates for this Committee should have current Professional Standards training. The committee meets monthly at 10:30 a.m. on the first Friday at the Sandicor offices onOberlin Drive in San Diego. The committee reviews suggestions from the Shareholder Associations concerning changes to the Rules, reviews variance and fine appeals, participates as the Tribunal for formal rules violation complaints and works with the development of the add/edit Business Rules for compliance with the MLS Rules and Regulations. The member appointed will automatically be a member of the NSDCAR Sandicor Advisory Committee and expected to attend those meetings on the second Tuesday of the month to report committee activity and to take forward any recommendations of the Advisory Committee to Sandicor.
SANDICOR GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE: There are three (3) one-year appointments. Members will be named on a rotating basis beginning January 1 through December 31, 2016. Members of thecommittee may reapply for additional appointment. The committee meets on the second Monday of the month. Candidates for this Committee should have current Professional Standards Training. The Committee reviews the Rules Violation Reports along with supporting documents to determine, if taken on their face, a hearing is arranged for alleged rules violation(s). The committee makes only such preliminary evaluation as is necessary to make these decisions. The member appointed will automatically be a member of the NSDCAR Sandicor Advisory Committee and expected to attend those meetings on the second Tuesday of the month.
SANDICOR TECHNOLOGY USER GROUP (STUG): This is a one-year appointment for the term beginning January 1 through December 31, 2016. The Group reviews system functionality and new products and/or software updates from current vendors. The Group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m.
