INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Previo a la instalación de la arena asegurese de que las juntas del pavimento y la superficie esten completamenta secas. Asegurese de que no exista la posibilidad de lluvia por lo menos 12 horas despues de la instalación de la arena polymerica.• La arena Polymerica debe ser usada solamente cuando la temperatura ambiental sea superior a los 45 grados por un periodo no menos de 4 horas antes de la instalación y 8 horas despues de la instalación. • Use siempre lentes de protección y boquillas respiratorias.• Este producto fue diseñado para trabajar mejor cuando se sigue la instalción tipica de adoquinas de la ICPI usando una base de 3/4” de roca modificada y un marco de arena para concreto. El marco de arena para concreto debe conformar al ASTM-C33.• Despues de la compactación inicial de los adoquines, distribulla la arena polymerica sobre los adoquines y barrala de modo que penetre entre las juntas (1.5” minimo).• Para Adoquines de Concreto: Corra el compactador sobre el pavimento de manera que las vibraciones mueban las particulas de arena dentro de las juntas y se reduscan las bolsas de aire.• Para Piedras de Molde o Piedras Naturales: Use un martillo de goma y una pieza de madera (2”x4”) para sentar el producto sobre la cama de asentamiento.• Barrer arena adicional dentro de las juntas y rellenar hasta 1/8” por debajo del nivel dela piedra (no sobrellen las juntas) repita la compactación.• Despues que las juntas esten llenas, barrer con una escoba y use una sopladora de mano para las hojas para remover cualquier exeso de arena o de polvo de la parta de arriba del pavimento. Mantener la sopladora en un angulo pequeño pero serca en linea paralela para asegurarse de no remover la arena de las juntas.• Usando una manguera de jardín o una espralladora de tanque (preferentemente) mojar el pavimento no mas de 500 piez cuadrados a la vez, usando una briza suave. CURING: PolySweep contains no Portland cement. The curing process could take up to 24 hours based on temperature and humidity level. Cool, damp and overcast conditions will affect the rate at which PolySweep sets up.

• Prior to installation of the sand make sure pavement joints and surface are completely dry. Make sure there is no rain in the forecast for at least 12 hours post installation of PolySweep. • PolySweep should only be used when the average ambient air temperature is above 45 degrees for a period of no less than 4 hours prior to installation of PolySweep and 8 hours after installation• Always wear protective eyewear and respirator • This product was designed to work best when following the ICPI typical paver installation using a 3/4” modified stone base and concrete sand setting bed. Concrete sand setting bed should conform to ASTM– C 33. • After initial compaction of paving units evenly distribute PolySweep over top of the pavers and sweep into the full depth of the joints • For Concrete Pavers: Run vibratory compactor over the pavement to allow the vibrations to shift sand particles into the joints and reduce air pockets • For Cast Stone or Natural Stone: Use a rubber hammer and a piece of wood (2”x4”) to seat the product into the setting bed • Sweep additional sand into the joints and fill to within 1/8” of top of paver. (Do not overfill joints) Repeat compaction. • After joints are filled, sweep off with broom and then use a leaf blower to remove any excess sand/dust from the top the pavement. Hold blower on slight angle but close to parallel on a slow idle to assure you don’t remove sand from joints • Using a hose or tank sprayer (preferred) mist the pavement not greater than 500 sf at a time using a gentle mist. Allow to absorb for approximately 5 minutes and repeat process three-four times, each time gradually adding more volume • It is important to not apply too much water too fast as to flood the pavement or erode sand from paver joints• It is important to check moisture depth to insure the required water penetration to the joint has been achieved.

• DO NOT use this product when installing pavers/stones directly on top of concrete.• When installing PolySweep with clay pavers, extra care must be taken to ensure no PolySweep remains on the clay paver surface
