The indentations created over the years, in conjunction with the rais ed areas constitute the particular charm of such a floor, and also of this laminate flooring. The bevelled edge rounds out the appearance of an old wooden plank.

The 6 inch wide typical format of a classical floor board experiences a renaissance in the CLASSEN Premium Word. The surrounding chamfer underscores the natural look of a traditional floor board after it is installed. The colour interaction of the six inch flooring has a remarkable affect due to the matt structure of its surface.

CLASSEN branded laminate floorings are low emission.

From the transportation of raw materials through to dispatch, the entire production process is carried out at the integrated production site in Mark Brandenburg with its enormous forests. Short transportation routes of the raw wood material to the laminate factory, low-emission production technologies,the use of waste wood in our own biomass heat plant and the reintroduction of such to the production circuit: This is a resource-gentle, sustainable method of management which begins with forestry management.

The sustainable resource cycle

Surrounded by giant forests,

Fiberboard GmbH’s MDF fac -

tory is located in the centre

of the Brandenburg marches

and adjacent to the directly

connected laminate factory

that belongs to CLASSEN

Industries GmbH. This forms

part of a concept to establish

an integrated site. Back in the

days when the company was

selecting a site, ‘sustainability’

was a main issue. In addition to

being near to suppliers, imme-

diate proximity to wood (as a

raw material) was a key criterion

in settling for the site. Today,

the CLASSEN integrated site

concept benefits from sustain-

ably managed wood that is

grown in the nearby forests of

Brandenburg. This enables

laminate production that is both

resource-friendly and low in

emissions.



Thanks to special technologies used during the treatment of laminate décors with unusual surface structures, CLASSEN demonstrates outstanding product competence.

Surface technology

From micro-pore to chrome-like surface structures

Rough and micro-pore surfaces can

mainly be found among the entry-level

variants. Tangible micro-structure or

matt structures supplement the series of

surface variants. Synchronous structure,

hand-scraped surface or high-polished

pores form the next level of high-quality

sensitive surface treatment. Leather and

cast iron as well as stone, slate and

varnish are among the unusual special

structures and are further proof of the

excellent CLASSEN surface expertise.

Starting with smooth surfaces – without any structure at all – in highly polished or super-matt finishes or with the feel of an oiled floor, there are twelve further structure variants available:
