Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's

    authors):

    1. [001:002] All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of theuniverse!

    2. [002:030] And (remember) when your Lord said to theangels, I am going to appoint a deputy (a viceroy) on

earth. They said, Would You place a species on

earth that will cause chaos, and shed blood? We chant

Your praises, and We venerate and glorify Your name(constantly). He said, I, of course know that, which

    you do not know!

    3. [002:267] Oh you who believe, spend (in the path ofAllah) the wholesome things you have earned, and the

best of the products We bring out from the land for you.

Do not pick out the worst and the worthless things to

give in charity, which you would yourself accept _ if

you do at all _ (reluctantly and) with disdain. Know it

(for sure) that Allah is Self-sufficient and Praiseworthy

    (in His own right)!

    4. [003:188] Do not think that, those who exult in whatthey were given, and love to be praised for what they

havent done (are safe). Do not think that they areexempt from the torment. There exists a painful

    punishment for them.

    5. [004:131] To Allah belongs everything in the heavensand on earth. We had instructed those who received thescriptures before you and (now We instruct) you too,

(Oh believers), that you should fear Allah. But if you

reject, then (remember that) everything in the heavens

and on earth, does indeed belong to Allah! And Allah is

Free of all wants and Worthy of all praise!

    6. [006:001] All praise is for Allah Who created theheavens and the earth. He created deep darkness as well

as light. Yet, those who disbelieve appoint others as

    equal to their Lord.

    7. [006:045] Thus, the people who committed evil wereweeded out completely; their roots were severed off.

All praise is for Allah, the Lord of the universe!

    8. [007:043] We will strip away whatever rancor remainsin their heart. Rivers shall flow under their feet. They

will say, All praise is for Allah Who guided us

towards this. Never could we have found the right path, had Allah not guided us. The messengers of our Lord

had brought us the truth. A voice will call out to them,

You have inherited this paradise as a reward for what

    you used to do.

    9. [007:206] Those close to your Lord _ (the angels) _ arenever too proud to worship Him. They chant His praises

    and fall prostrate before Him.

    10. [009:112] (Believers are) those who turn in repentance(towards Him), worship Him, praise Him, observe fasts,

bow before Him (in prayers) and prostrate before Him

(in prayers). They encourage and enjoin the good and

forbid the wrong (and the evil); they observe (and

honor) the limits set by Allah. Give the good tidings to

    the believers!

    11. [010:010] There, they will say, Exalted are You, ourLord; their salutation there will be Peace! They

will conclude their prayers by saying, All praise is forAllah, the Lord of the universe!

    12. [011:073] They said, Are you incredulous of thepower and authority of your Lord? The mercy and the

blessings of Allah are upon you, the residents of this

house! He is worthy of all praise and He is really

    extremely Proficient.

    13. [013:013] Out of fear, the angels sing His praises, andso does thunder. With a bolt of lightning, He stupefies

whomever He wants. Yet, they quarrel about Allah! He

    is extremely Powerful.

    14. [014:001] Alif, Laam, Ra. We revealed to you thisbook, so that by the will of Allah, you may lead people

out of darkness into light, towards the path of the most

    Powerful and the Praiseworthy.

    15. [014:008] And Musa said, What if you expressingratitude, you and everyone else in the world

together? Even then, Allah is Free of all wants; He is

    Praise-worthy!

    16. [014:039] All praise is for Allah, Who gave me (twosons) Ismail and Ishaq, despite my old age. Surely, my

    Lord hears the supplication!

    17. [015:098] Chant the praises of your Lord! Be amongthose who fall prostrate!

    18. [016:075] Allah quotes the example of a bonded slavewho does not own a thing. To another, We have grantedenough riches, and he spends his wealth, openly and in

secret. Can the two be equal? (Of course not)! All

praise is for Allah! But most people do not know!

    19. [017:044] The seven heavens, the earth, and all thosewho exist therein, glorify Him. There isnt anythingthat does not chant His praises! But you fail to (hear

their chants, or) comprehend their manner of praise.

Surely, He is Gentle and Forgiving.

    20. [017:052] When He orders you to emerge on that day,you will comply (and come out) singing praises for

Him. You will assume that you had stayed on this earth

    only for a brief while!

    21. [017:111] And say, All praise is for Allah Who didnot beget a son, and Who shares the Lordship of His

domain with none! And He (has no weakness,

therefore) requires no friend to mask any weakness. So,Glorify Him for His Greatness and Majesty!

    22. [018:001] All the praise belongs to Allah, Whorevealed the book to His servant, and in it is included

    nothing queer.

    23. [019:011] He emerged from the chamber, and gesturedto his followers asking them to sing the praises (of

    Allah), morning and evening.

    24. [020:130] Therefore, with patience bear their remarksand chant the praises of your Lord before the sun rises,

before it sets, and during the night. Glorify Him in the

morning and evening. Perhaps you will feel contented.

    25. [021:020] All day and all night, they chant His praises. They do not relent.

    26. [021:079] We unveiled (the right ruling) to Sulaiman. We had granted wisdom and courage to both. For

Daood, We had tamed the mountains and the birds.

They used to chant praises with him! It was We Whodid that!

    27. [022:024] They were led towards the pious speech (inthis life), and towards the path of the One most Worthy

    of praise.

    28. [022:064] Everything in the heavens and on the earthbelongs to Him. Indeed Allah is free from want and is

    the most Praise-worthy.

    29. [023:028] When you and those with you haveembarked, say, All praise is for Allah Who saved us

    from the evil nation!

    30. [024:036] Allah has favored the setting up of houses, where _ every morning and evening _ His name would

be glorified and His praises chanted!

    31. [024:041] Do you not observe? Everyone in theheavens and on the earth chants the praises of Allah.

The birds fly in the sky with wings spread. Each being

has learnt its own prescribed form of salat, and itsstyle of singing the praises of Allah! Allah is well

    aware of what they do.

    32. [025:058] Place your trust in the Ever-Living _ the OneWho will never die, and chant His praises. He is

sufficiently knowledgeable about the sins of His

    servants.

    33. [027:015] Surely, We had granted Sulaiman andDaood a (special) knowledge. Both of them remarked,

All praise is for Allah Who excelled us over very

    many of His believing servants.

    34. [027:059] Say, All praise is for Allah and peace beupon His servants _ those He has picked. (Say),

Who is better? Allah, or the partners you associate

    with Him?

found guidance, had it not been for the guidance of

God: indeed it was the truth, that the apostles of our

Lord brought unto us." And they shall hear the cry:

"Behold! the garden before you! Ye have been made its

inheritors, for your deeds (of righteousness)."

    18. [007:206] Those who are near to thy Lord, disdain notto do Him worship: They celebrate His praises, and

    bow down before Him.

    19. [009:031] They take their priests and their anchoritesto be their lords in derogation of God, and (they take as

their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were

having the partners they associate (with Him).

    20. [009:112] Those that turn (to God) in repentance; thatserve Him, and praise Him; that wander in devotion to

the cause of God,: that bow down and prostrate

    themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil;

and observe the limit set by God;- (These do rejoice).

So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers.

[016:075] God sets forth the Parable (of two men: one)a slave under the dominion of another; He has no power

of any sort; and (the other) a man on whom We have

spends thereof (freely), privately and publicly: are the

two equal? (By no means;) praise be to God. But most

    of them understand not.

    30. [017:044] The seven heavens and the earth, and allbeings therein, declare His glory: there is not a thing

them for part of the hours of the night, and at the sides

of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy.

    39. [021:020] They celebrate His praises night and day,nor do they ever flag or intermit.

    40. [021:079] To Solomon We inspired the (right)understanding of the matter: to each (of them) We gave

Judgment and Knowledge; it was Our power that made

the hills and the birds celebrate Our praises, with

David: it was We Who did (all these things).

    41. [022:024] For they have been guided (in this life) tothe purest of speeches; they have been guided to the

Path of Him Who is Worthy of (all) Praise.

    Worthy of all Praise.

    43. [023:028] And when thou hast embarked on the Ark -thou and those with thee,- say: "Praise be to God, Who

    44. [024:041] Seest thou not that it is God Whose praisesall beings in the heavens and on earth do celebrate, and

the birds (of the air) with wings outspread? Each one

knows its own (mode of) prayer and praise. And God

knows well all that they do.45. [025:050] And We have distributed the (water)

amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our)

praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank)

    to decline.

    54. [031:012] we bestowed (in the past) Wisdom onLuqman: "Show (thy) gratitude to God." Any who is

    proud.

    38. [034:001] All praise is due to ALLAH, to Whombelongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in

the earth. And HIS is All praise in the Hereafter; and

HE is the Wise, the All-Aware.

    39. [034:006] And those who are given knowledge see thatwhatever has been revealed to thee from thy Lord is the

truth, and that it guides unto the path of the Mighty, the

    Praiseworthy.

    40. [034:010] And certainly, We bestowed grace uponDavid from US and said, `O ye mountains, celebrate thepraises of ALLAH with him, and O birds, ye also.' And

WE made the iron soft for him,

    41. [035:001] All praise belongs to ALLAH, the originatorof the heavens and the earth, Who employs the angels

as Messengers, having wings, two, three, and four. HE

adds to HIS creation whatever HE pleases; for ALLAH

    has power over all things.

    42. [035:015] O men, it is you who are dependent uponALLAH, but ALLAH is HE Who is Self-Sufficient, the

    Praiseworthy.

    43. [035:034] And they will say, `All praise belongs toALLAH Who has removed all grief from us. Surely,

    our Lord is Most Forgiving, Most Appreciating;

    44. [037:182] And all praise belongs to ALLAH, the Lordof the worlds.

    45. [038:018] WE subjected to him the mountains - theycelebrated God's praises with him at nightfall and

    sunrise.

    46. [039:029] ALLAH sets forth a parable - a manbelonging to several partners, who disagree with one

another, and a man belonging wholly to one man. Are

the two equal in condition ? All praise belongs to

ALLAH. But most of them know not.

    47. [039:074] And they will say, `All praise belongs toALLAH Who has made good to us HIS promise, and

has given us the earth to inherit, we shall make our

abode in the Garden wherever we please.' How

excellent is the reward of the righteous workers !

    48. [039:075] And thou wilt see the angels going round theThrone, glorifying their Lord with HIS praise, and

judgment will be given between the people with justice.

And it will be said, `All praise belongs to ALLAH, the

    Lord of the worlds.'

    49. [040:007] Those who bear the Throne and those whoare around it, proclaim the praise of their Lord and

believe in HIM, and ask forgiveness for those who

believe, saying, `Our Lord, Thou dost comprehend all

things in Thy mercy and knowledge. So forgive those

who repent and follow Thy way, and protect them from

    the punishment of Hell;

    50. [040:055] So have patience. Surely, the promise ofALLAH is true. And ask forgiveness for them for thewrongs they have done thee and glorify thy Lord with

HIS praise in the evening and the in morning.

    51. [040:065] HE is the Living God. There is no god butHE. So pray unto HIM, devoting your worship wholly

and sincerely to HIM. All praise belongs to ALLAH,

    the Lord of the worlds.

    52. [041:042] Falsehood cannot approach it either frombefore it nor from behind it. It is a revelation from the

    Wise, the Praiseworthy.

    53. [042:005] The heavens may well-nigh rend asunderfrom above them; and the angels proclaim the praises of

their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth.

Behold ! it is, surely, ALLAH Who is the Most

    Forgiving, the Merciful.

    54. [042:028] And HE it is Who sends down rain after theyhave despaired of it and spreads out his mercy. And HEis the Protector, the Praiseworthy.

    55. [045:036] All praise, then, belongs to ALLAH, Lord ofthe heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of all the

    worlds.

    56. [050:039] So bear with patience what they say, andcelebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of

    the sun and before its setting;

    57. [052:048] So wait patiently for the judgment of thyLord; for, assuredly, thou art before Our eyes; and

celebrate the praises of thy Lord when thou risest up for

    prayer,

    58. [057:024] Such as are niggardly and also enjoin uponmen to be niggardly. And whoso turns his back, then

surely, ALLAH is Self-Sufficient, Worthy of all praise.

    59. [060:006] Surely, there is a good example in them foryou - for all who have hope to see ALLAH and the Last

Day. And whosoever turns away - truly, ALLAH isSelf-Sufficient, Worthy of all praise.

    60. [064:001] Whatever is in the heavens and whatever isin the earth glorifies ALLAH. HIS is the Kingdom and

HIS is the praise, and HE has power over all things.

    61. [064:006] That was because their Messengers came tothem with manifest Signs, but they said, `Shall mere

mortals guide us ?' So they disbelieved and turned

away, but ALLAH had no need of them; And ALLAH

is Self-Sufficient, Worthy of all praise.

    62. [085:007] And they hated them not but only becausethey believed in ALLAH, the Almighty, the

    Praiseworthy,

    63. [110:003] Glorify thy Lord with HIS praise and seekHIS forgiveness. Surely HE is Oft-returning with

    mercy.

    Shakir:

    1. [001:002] All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of theWorlds.

    2. [002:030] And when your Lord said to the angels, I amgoing to place in the earth a khalif, they said: What!

wilt Thou place in it such as shall make mischief in it

and shed blood, and we celebrate Thy praise and extol

Thy holiness? He said: Surely I know what you do not

    know.

brought forth for you out of the earth, and do not aim at

what is bad that you may spend (in alms) of it, while

you would not take it yourselves unless you have its

price lowered, and know that Allah is Self-sufficient,

    Praiseworthy.

    4. [003:188] Do not think those who rejoice for what theyhave done and love that they should be praised for what

they have not done -- so do by no means think them to

be safe from the chastisement, and they shall have a

    painful chastisement.

    5. [004:131] And whatever is in the heavens andwhatever is in the earth is Allah's and certainly We

enjoined those who were given the Book before you

and (We enjoin) you too that you should be careful of

(your duty to) Allah; and if you disbelieve, then surely

whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth

    is Allah's and Allah is Self-sufficient, Praise-worthy.

    6. [006:001] All praise is due to Allah, Who created theheavens and the earth and made the darkness and the

and they shall say: All praise is due to Allah Whoguided us to this, and we would not have found the way

had it not been that Allah had guided us; certainly the

apostles of our Lord brought the truth; and it shall be

cried out to them that this is the garden of which you

are made heirs for what you did.

    9. [009:112] They who turn (to Allah), who serve (Him),who praise (Him), who fast, who bow down, who

and give good news to the believers.

    10. [010:010] Their cry in it shall be: Glory to Thee, OAllah! and their greeting in it shall be: Peace; and the

you, O people of the house, surely He is Praised,Glorious.

    12. [013:013] And the thunder declares His glory with Hispraise, and the angels too for awe of Him; and He sends

the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He

pleases, yet they dispute concerning Allah, and He is

    mighty in prowess.

    13. [014:001] Alif Lam Ra. (This is) a Book which Wehave revealed to you that you may bring forth men, by

their Lord's permission from utter darkness into light --

    14. [014:008] And Musa said: If you are ungrateful, youand those on earth all together, most surely Allah is

    Self-sufficient, Praised;

    15. [014:039] Praise be to Allah, Who has given me in oldage Ismail and Ishaq; most surely my Lord is the Hearer

    of prayer:

    16. [014:043] Hastening forward, their heads upraised, their eyes not reverting to them and their hearts vacant.

    17. [015:098] Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance.

    18. [016:075] Allah sets forth a parable: (consider) a slave, the property of another, (who) has no power over

anything, and one whom We have granted from

Ourselves a goodly sustenance so he spends from it

secretly and openly; are the two alike? (All) praise is

due to Allah! Nay, most of them do not know.

    19. [017:044] The seven heavens declare His glory and theearth (too), and those who are in them; and there is not

a single thing but glorifies Him with His praise, but you

    20. [017:052] On the day when He will call you forth, thenshall you obey Him, giving Him praise, and you will

    22. [018:001] (All) praise is due to Allah, Who revealedthe Book to His servant and did not make in it any

crookedness.23. [021:079] So We made Sulaiman to understand it; and

to each one We gave wisdom and knowledge; and We

made the mountains, and the birds to celebrate Our

praise with Dawood; and We were the doers.

    24. [022:024] And they are guided to goodly words andthey are guided into the path of the Praised One.

    25. [022:064] His is whatsoever is in the heavens andwhatsoever is in the earth; and most surely Allah is the

    26. [023:028] And when you are firmly seated, you andthose with you, in the ark, say: All praise is due to

    30. [027:093] And say: Praise be to Allah, He will showyou His signs so that you shall recognize them; nor is

your Lord heedless of what you do.

    31. [028:070] And He is Allah, there is no god but He! Allpraise is due to Him in this (life) and the hereafter, and
