    Nouns are the name of people, places, things and feelings.

    Common nouns ; are the names common to people and things, eg baby, flower, cat.

    Proper nouns ; are the names of a particular place or person. eg

    An adverb is a word that tells us more about a verb. It "qualifies" or "modifies" adverb. For example : The man ran quickly. The word quickly, tells us how characteristics of a verb. In this case it qualifies the verb ran, into the speed the man ran. An adverbs can also modify an adjectives. For example: Heis really handsome. The adjective handsome is modified to the emphasis of the intensity of the adjective handsome. Adverbs could also modify another adverb. For example: She drives incredibly slowly. The word incredibly and slowly, are two adjectives.

    What is an adverb ? Indefinite pronouns refer to

    people and things generally. They are usually considered to be singular pronouns, eg somebody, someone, anyone, no one. 1.Somebody forgot his/her homework. 2.Everyone is trying his/her hardest. 3.Is anyone going to bring his / her mobile? In modern usage the plural there is often used to represent both his or her, eg Someone forgot their homework.

    Verbs are words that describe actions. They tell us what poeple or things do. The tense of the verbs tell us when the action took place. We use the Present Tense of the verb to tell us what is happening now. Example : I cook a stir-fry for dinner. We use the Past Tense of the verb to tell us what happened in the past. Example : I cooked a stir-fry for dinner last night. We use the Future Tense of the verb to tell us what will happen in the future. Examples : I will cook a stir-fry for dinner.

    Verbs

    Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Gaya Street, Kinabalu Park or titles of films, books, songs, magazines, plays. These nouns need to start with a capital letter.

    Collective nouns; are the names of a group of people and things, eg a hive of bees, a class of pupils.

    The subject and verb in a sentence must agree or work together. Singular verb for singular noun. Example : This is my pet rabbit. Plural verb for plural noun. Example : These are my pet rabbits.

    a.What are these? b.What are those? ii. Who e.g. Who is he? (singular) Who are they? (plural)

    iii. Where e.g. Where is the boy? (singular) Where are the boys (plural)
