NOTE: In response to a number of inquiries as to the connection between the MerLion and the Wonderful World of Water, the MerLion is a mythological creature of the sea. It features the head of a lion and the body of a fish. It is also the official mascot of Singapore, which should explain the extensive use of the creature on so many Lions Club pins for 2019-20. Our international convention for 2020, as you know, is scheduled to be in Singapore.
