Knowing that this would provide work for the team andbeat the competition, Jim Schroedersaid,·"We'li do it!"

Failure is not in the vocabulary of our team, but everyoneshould know that our failure to meet the delivery date ofSeptember 18, would cost us a monetary penalty.

Remember Operation Navy? Teamwork got that jobdone. Teamwork will do the job again.

PROFIT IMPROVEMENT ... The second phase of athree-phase program to reduce the cost of manufacturingBalcrank revolving handles has been implemented. Theinstallation of fixtures for a more productive assembly ofthe handles has been completed and is now in operation.

The project, headed by Senior Process Engineer OakleyCampbell, incorporates many of his design and assemblyideas. Production runs made on the fixture indicate thepredicted cost savings of an estimated $J2,OOO annually andan increase in production of at least 25 percent. Another ex­ample of Wheelabrator ingenuity - thanks to Oakley.
