There has been a settlement at Macreddin Village since the fifth century and The Wells Spa takes its name from the ancient wells which supply water to the site. Today all the water used on site is sourced and purified from these natural springs. The Wells Spa heating and hot water comes from Ireland’s largest hotel geo-thermal heat recovery system.

The Wells Spa is an adult only ‘destination spa’, featuring a Hammam massage room, dry flotation room, heated relaxation loungers, a serail mud chamber, aroma steam room, sauna, outdoor hot tub, numerous water features and a stunning indoor to outdoor swimming pool. There is also a relaxation room to enjoy peaceful music and the total sense of calm.

A private mud chamber for two, relax in a private aroma steam room and apply a therapeutic cleansing mud to leave you physically and mentally at ease.

post serail hammam massage – 30 min

To enhance the benefits of the Serail Mud Chamber, indulge in the unique Hammam Massage to complete the entire experience.

hammam body exfoliation – 30 min

During this treatment the body will be thoroughly polished using a special blend of our BABOR peels to leave the skin feeling cleansed and revived.

healing hammam massage – 60 min

Experience your treatment using BABOR products on a heated tiled table. A body exfoliation, a steam treatment and a body massage leaves you totally relaxed.

wet flotation therapy – 60 min

CONTRAINDICATIONSAt The Wells Spa, your relaxation and comfort is of the utmost importance to us. For this reason we ask that you inform us at the time of making your reservation of any health conditions, allergies, medical or cosmetic procedures or injuries, which may affect the suitability of treatments for you. Some of the issues that we particularly need to be made aware of are listed below (they may also limit your use of the Thermal Suite):

ARRIVALClients are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to treatment time. If you are coming from your room and if convenient, please arrive to the Spa in your robe and slippers.

TREATMENT TIMESTreatment lengths are indicated and 5 min should be deducted at the end for consultation and room changeover.

CANCELLATION POLICYCancellations can only be accepted up to 48 hours prior to a booked treatment. If a cancellation is subsequent to this we reserve the right to apply a full charge.

The Wells Spa is an adult only spa and as such the thermal suite facilities are not permitted to children under 16. Our second swimming pool in Brook Hall is available to all guests including children.

Thanks for helping us stay green...The BrookLodge & Macreddin Village has been committed to “keeping it green” since first opening its doors. In a promise to its customers that the food they ate would be unadulterated and chemical free, The Strawberry Tree became the first, and only, restaurant in Ireland to hold a full organic licence.

Well before streaming waste became ‘mainstream’, the BrookLodge was encouraging it’s waste collection companies to accept separated waste for re-cycling. The hotel now has 15 Streams for waste.

When yet another spring was discovered during the expansion of the hotel, it was decided to investigate and install Ireland’s largest geo-thermal hotel heat recovery system which heats both swimming pools. All the water used in The Spa is from our own pure water wells and in our unique indoor-to-outdoor swimming pool. So after investing more than 2 million euros in a greener future, The BrookLodge & Macreddin Village has made a very busy and successful statement that this is indeed…..the way forward.
