Rolling like a freight train from the tip of Florida to the top of Maine, the VonZipper Sunz OutBunz Out Tour lit up the East Coast like the 4th of July this summer. We hit the road for 18days of retail mayhem, premiered the new Transworld Surf movie “Hi-5” and ended up crowingourselves the “Queen of the Counter ” in our first shop challenge/model search. Teamriders Lucas Rodgers, Alejando Moreada, Raven Lundy and others were on hand at eachstop along the way slapping fives, signing posters and body parts and leaving their mark onthe Right Coast. We passed out a ton of gear, blew minds and touched the hearts of ever yonefrom Fort Lauderdale to Cape Cod. Its a long and dusty road but definitely not a lonelyone when you have VonZipper rolling thru your town. When the engine on the tour bus finallycooled down, the Sunz Out Bunz Out tour numbers looked like this. 15 movie premiers, 65retail shop stops, 800 hot dogs, and over 2,000 miles of hot pavement had been coveredand devoured in one of our most successful tours of all time.

J-BAy GOES OFF!!Greetings all, The contest is done and dusted here at JBAy in the Eastern Cape of South Africa....We had several surfers in the event including WCT regulars Taj Burrow, Andy Irons, Tiago Pires and wildcards Sean Holmes, Dale Staples, Keanu Asing and Heath Joske. Our boys had a good run with Taj coming in equal third, Holmes coming equal 5th (he took out Andy and Slater), Andy and Tiago coming equal 9th and our wildcard Dale Staples serving notice that he is one to be reckoned with in the coming years... Taj was the standout VZ surfer, winning a $10,000 watch for the highest heat total and solidifying his place on this years tour as he is currently rated number 2 after this result.. The event was super exciting, held in great conditions, with former VZ team rider and good friend of the brand, Jordy Smith winning his first ever WCT event and claiming the num-ber 1 spot on the tour... We had a heap of VonZipper exposure in South Africa ~ as on one of the event’s primary sponsors, we had banners all around the event, we are the title sponsor of the wildcard trials and we promoted Say What?! Through out the webcast (which was also televised live on fuel internationally). VZ is easily the number one brand here, with a ton of shades on faces and soft goods keeping people styled...

dONAvON FRANkENREITER STARS IN FUEL TV’SORIGINAL SERIES “FIRSTHANd”This episode will feature never-seen-footage and a personal look at Donavon Frankenreiter, who’s now living in Kauai and building his dream home on seven acres with his own personal lake. He cooks breakfast for his kids in the morning then takes them to school. After school, it’s straight to the beach for a surf session. We then head to Maui to check out his new restaurant “Donavon Frankenreiter’s Margarita House.” Next, we head to El Salvador for the Billabong Donavon Fran-kenreiter Surf Camp. To finish his “Firsthand,” he heads to Australia to meet up with pro surfer leg-end Mark “Occy” Occhilupo. Finally, Donavon heads to Byron Bay to play one if the largest music festivals, The Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival. EAST COAST SURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!The East Coast blew up for the 48th Annual East Coast Surfing Championships that went down in Virginia Beach, VA. Thousands of sun scorched humans made there way to the beach to watch the contest and to get up close and personal with their favorite pros. Coastal Edge’s “Vendor Village” was were all of the action was and it packed from sun up to sun down. VonZipper didn’t disappoint any of their fans that made their way down into the trenches. The heat press was fired up, shirts were flying and we brought Weeman along for the ride. We had a sweet product toss with WEEMAN and Bucky Lasek that had everyone screaming and jumping for their shot at some VZ gear. Down at the booth, people were climbing over them selves to get an autograph, hi-fives and their chance to meet the star of the new movie Jackass 3D.

29TH ANNUAL LORETTA LyNN’S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP The 2010 Amateur National Motocross Championships are officially in the record books. Rac-ing concluded for another year at Loretta Lynn’s Dude Ranch where records were broke on and off the track. Tennessee had record temps all week with the heat index hitting 110+. While the VZ amateur team were setting records of their own. VonZipper claimed 6 championships on the week crushing last years total of two. To add to the 6 championships, VonZipper had three runner up’s and four 3rd place results for a total of 13 podium finishes.
In the A class #33 Gannon Audette won 4 out of his 6 moto’s. Audette won 450 A ProSport and finished 2nd in 250 A. Also in the 250 A class VZ had Justin Starling in 6th, Cole Martinez in 7th, A.J. Catanzaro in 9th, and Jake Loberg in 10th. That’s half of the top ten in the A class!!!
In the B class VonZipper had the podium on lock down. Brad Frace won 250 B stock with VZ teammate kyle Peters in 2nd. Then in 250 B modified VonZipper went 2, 3, 4 with kyle Peters, Jessy Nelson, and Brad Frace collecting medals all week.
The little ladies of VZ won both championships for the week. Amanda Maheu won Girls (12-15) and Alexah Person won Women (14+) while Jenn Burton won moto one but crashed out of moto two ending her chances at a championship.
The little groms held it down with 7 top tens. Nick Gaines almost won his last moto of the week and finished 3rd in Supermini (12-15) then 4th in Supermini (13-16). The littlest grom on the VZ team, Gage Linville dominated the 51 (4-6) stock class winning every moto and the championship.

HIGH POINT RACEWAyThe Rockstar Energy Outdoor Nationals traveled east for round three to High Point Raceway and Mt. Morris, PA. Nestled in the mountains of the Pennsylvania and West Virginia border, High Point Raceway offers some of the best dirt the riders will compete on all season long. Great dirt means for great racing and the High Point crowd got all of that plus a little more from Mother Nature.
The VonZipper MX team got off to a great start in practice wasting no time setting some of the fastest lap times of the entire day. The DNA/Shred Stix duo of #20 Broc Tickle and #577 Martin Davalos were 2nd and 3rd fastest overall in the Lites practice sessions. Both riders carried their momentum from practice into the Lites Main Events with Tickle going 9-5 for 6th overall and Davalos went 11-7 for 9th overall. #20 Broc Tickle now sits in 6th place in the point’s standings only 13 points out of 2nd place. The Honda of Troy Team was at home in PA and the results definitely showed. #36 Darren Durham went 16-10 for 14th overall, #92 Mike Willard finished 20-16 for 19th overall, and #87 Les Smith went 23-17 for 20th place overall.
In the 450 class #122 Dan Reardon went 16-14 for 15th overall on the Valli yamaha. The Fac-tory Suzuki pilot of Matt Moss showed some real speed this week running up front in moto two before a spill but pulled some points out in moto one finishing in 17th.
The series travels to Budds Creek, Maryland home of the former Motocross des Nations for round 4 of the Rockstar Energy Outdoor Nationals.

HIGH POINT RACEWAyThe former home of motocross des nations, Budds Creek Raceway hosted round 4 of the Rock-star Energy Drink Outdoor Nationals over fathers day weekend. The DNA/Shred Stix duo of #20 Broc Tickle and #577 Martin Davalos got things started early posting some of the fastest lap times of the entire day. Tickle qualified 2nd and his teammate Davalos entered the main event with the 3rd gate pick. Both riders got decent starts and maintained top ten positions for both Lites races. #20 Tickle finished 6th overall with 6-5 finishes and Davalos went 9-10 for 8th overall. In the 450 class #122 Dan Reardon had his best finish of the season with a 9th place finish in moto two. Reardon would have had two top tens finishes but slid out late in moto 1. Reardon thought he popped his shoulder out but still stuck it out in moto 2 and pulled down a solid 9th place finish. Other VZ riders to pull in some quality points by finishing in the top twenty were Matt Moss, Westin Peick, and Travis Sewell.
