At The Start
• Settling in Canada – driven out by Indians
• British helped the Indians
• 1812 – America started to attack Canada
• Will shut down businesses – many not fought
During the Beginning
• War Hawks wanted war
• “National Pride”
• Army strengthened
• “Peace as we now have it is disgraceful, and war honorable.”
• Did badly at 1st battle
1813
Many victories were won, and the tide of the war changed.
