Executive Director Corner

Greetings from the Villages at Historic

Silvercrest! I hope that this month, you’re taking time to enjoy the warmer weather whenever you get the chance. At Silvercrest, we’ve been outside getting our hands dirty in preparation for our Campus in Color competition. If you’re new to our campus, you may be unfamiliar with Campus in Color. This program gives our residents a chance to nurture their green thumbs by planting vegetable gardens, raised flower beds, container gardens and so much more. Each year we compete with other Trilogy senior living communities in categories such as Best Vegetable Garden, Best Curb Appeal, Best Resident Involvement, and more!

One of my favorite aspects of Campus in Color is that it involves not just our residents, but our staff, family members and community members. If you’re interested in getting involved, contact a member of our Life Enrichment team today. We accept volunteers of all ages, whether they want to donate their time, their gardening skills, or are just looking for a comfortable piece of shade and friendly people to share it with. While our campus will soon be surrounded by colorful flowers, my favorite things to watch bloom this time of year are friendships. So stop on by when you can, and join us for a glass of iced tea. Our doors are always open!Yours in service, Carla Sieckert Executive Director

Volunteer NewsWe are always looking for volunteers to help with activities or functions. If you or someone you know is interested call us at 812-542-6720 and ask for Life Enrichment!

taking a stroll, or sipping a cool drink in the company of friends, we love spending time among things that grow. If you haven’t enjoyed some quality time in our campus courtyards this month, make sure to do so! We would love to have you.
