Studying the growth of the early church in Acts, Pentecost and Jesus’ teaching
in the Gospel of Matthew, this Bible study will delve into the Scripture
passages used by our pastors in worship which come from the Lectionary .
Using the Revised Common Lectionary Scripture passages as a base of our
study will hopefully make worship take on a greater depth of meaning. Come

prayed at all times and in all places - in solitude and in the midst of crowds.

Dear Friends, The Alabama-West Florida Conference will soon take place June 4–7, 2017, in
Montgomery, Ala. Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church will once again host our
opening worship service on Sunday evening and our daily meetings. This year’s
conference will be our first gathering with Bishop David Graves and his wife, Nancy.
You may recall that Bishop Graves preached at Auburn UMC back in January. This
year’s gathering is very special for us at Auburn United Methodist as Rev. Julie Hare will
be ordained on Monday evening, June 5, at First United Methodist in Montgomery.
If you would like more information about our annual conference or would like to follow
our meetings online, please visit our conference website at www.awfumc.org. Most
important, please be in prayer for our church, our leaders, and our connection of United
Methodists in Alabama and West Florida as we gather for prayer, worship, and meetings,
and as we focus intently on our important mission of “Making Disciples of Jesus Christ
for the Transformation of the World.”
Grace and peace,
Cory
