Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever.
In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement.

• Nonprofit organization located in or providing services within the state of Utah
• All past and current Komen-funded grants and awards are up-to-date and in compliance with Komen requirements
• Project must be specific to breast health and/or breast cancer

Funding Priorities • Increase the rate of mammography screening for women of
all ethnic backgrounds aged 40 and over with a focus on women who are uninsured or underinsured
• Educate women of all backgrounds about the risk factors for breast cancer, prevention, and reinforce the benefits of early detection, as well as available resources
• Enrich the lives of breast cancer survivors by providing support services for survivors and their families/co-survivors
