COLOUR IN THRILLER MOVIES

Lighting is mainly used to create an atmosphere in a scene. The lighting used will often reflect the movie’s genre.

To create mystery and suspense in scenes, thriller movies will usually use low-key lighting.

Colours have various connotations attached to them. For example, the colour blue is often associated with depression.

Relating this to my thriller, one plan is to have our titular character, Ebony, dressed in black, to reflect the dark theme of the film.
