Memory Verse 1 John 1:9,

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to

cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Bathed - LOUO is used as the illustration of salvation,

while wash - NIPTO is used for rebound.

Page 5: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

Sin and carnality do not mean a believer must be

saved again.

Page 6: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

“The feet” PODAS, tell us there is no fellowship when

the believer is defiled by sin. You cannot walk with God, while having dirty

feet.

Page 7: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

“But is completely clean”, means we are to be assured

of our eternal security, through the bathing we

received at the moment of our salvation.

Page 8: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

Our Lord doubly emphasized this with, “and you are clean”.

Page 9: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

"But not all of you", identifies that some in the

room are NOT saved - Judas Iscariot.

Page 10: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

1) The others came with dirty feet but Judas came without a bath. Therefore,

this message is not pertinent to him or the

unbeliever.

Page 11: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

2) Salvation is not a result of blessing by association.

You can not be saved because you hang out with Christians. Acts 16:31-34

Page 12: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

It is a personal and individual decision and

responsibility to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as

your savior, for your very own salvation. No one else

can do it for you. John 3:16, 36

Jesus knew that Judas never believed, was filled

with Cosmic thinking, under demonic influence,

John 13:2, and would betray Him under demon

possession, vs. 27.

Vs. 11, Not everyone has taken a bath (LOUO) for

salvation and become clean, therefore not

everyone will receive the benefits from this type of

washing (NIPTO).

Page 20: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

"Knew", Jesus always knew that Judas Iscariot

was and would remain an unbeliever.

Page 21: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

“Who was betraying”, the betrayal hasn’t occurred

yet, but Jesus knows that it will.

Page 22: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

"For this reason", knowledge is power to do

or say a right thing in a right way.

Page 23: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

“He said, 'not all of you are clean'”, Judas never came

to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as the

Messiah. See vs 18.

Page 24: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

The last message Judas received was the washing away of sins by our Lord.

Page 25: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

The basis for NIPTO cleansing, is the same as

the LOUO bathing for the unbeliever's salvation, the

Cross at Calvary.

Page 26: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

In grace, our Lord gives Judas one last chance for salvation even though He knows Judas' hard heart.

Page 27: The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:9-10, Judas’ Last Chance

Never make up your mind about someone's faith.

Always continue to present the gospel and let God take

it from there.
