February 2011 Dear Parents, Greetings from Miss Nina!!! Many of you have asked if our community is doing any extra activities during the Carnival Break. For this reason, we are considering the possibility to plan a Fun Camp. It will be from March 7th to the 11th and the schedule will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. The cost is Nafl. 150 and your child will have to bring a snack. If we have enough kids and parents interested in the Camp, we will be able to make this idea happen. If you are interested in the idea, please send back the form at the bottom no later than February, Friday 25th. You will be receiving more information very soon. ________________________________________________ Pre-register form: Student’s name (s) and age(s):

The Odyssey of the Mind teaches students to learn crea-tive problem-solving methods while having fun in the proc-ess. For more than twenty five years, this unique program has helped teachers generate excitement in their students. By tapping into creativity, and through encouraging imagi-native paths to problem-solving, students learn skills that will provide them with the ability to solve problems -- great and small -- for a lifetime. The Odyssey of the Mind teaches students how to think divergently by providing open-ended problems that appeal to a wide range of inter-ests. Students learn how to identify challenges and to think creatively to solve those problems. They are free to ex-press their ideas and suggestions without fear of criticism. The creative problem-solving process rewards thinking "outside of the box." While conventional thinking has an important place in a well-rounded education, students need to learn how to think creatively and productively.
