God by most. This statement is supported by the apparent disregard by our society for His coreprincipals. Throughout the Bible Jesus Christ claims to be the Son of God in words and actions.
Is this claim true or false? If false, that would make Jesus Christ a liar of monstrous proportions
or a delusional lunatic. You have an opportunity right now to learn that Jesus Christ is the living
Son of God as recorded in the Bible and that the Bible has been faithfully recorded andaccurately preserved for you.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in
Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world tocondemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:15, 16)
Clearly, this is important to you. This is not about religion it is about relationship with
a living God Jesus.
Miracles are possible -- we can prove they happen beyond a reasonable doubt!
First things first - (CNN) 3/18/2014 Theres no way for us to know exactly whathappened some 13.8 billion years ago, when our universe burst onto the scene. But scientists
announced a breakthrough in understanding how our world as we know it came to be. To
summarize, the evidence presented is that the universe (everything we know as reality) rapidly
expanded less than a trillionth of a second after the Big Bang. Furthermore, science theoryindicates the beginning was created from so small a point as to say in practical language it was
created from nothing. What this tells us is that:
Everything that has a beginning has a cause.

Everything that has a beginning has an end and is therefore finite.
The cause of the Big Bang creation is not a natural event because NOTHING existed
before this event and therefore it was a supernatural event... thats what supernatural
means -- that which is said to exist above and beyond nature. Miracles aresupernatural events and therefore possible.
The cause of the Big Bang is infinite or eternal, being outside what we know as time,energy, space and matter.
We have evidence that this eternal creator has amazing intelligence as demonstrated
in the very specific and complex design necessary to support life. (See appendix A)
We do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For thethings which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal (2
Corinthians 4:18).
The very first line in the Bible is amazing in its design and message
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth
In the original language Hebrew you can see the hand of God in two different ways:
First: the meaning of the Hebrew words used:
Beresheet = in the beginning... and Bara = out of nothing
There are two other words in the Hebrew language for create, Asa translates to make or fabricate,
and Yatsa translates to form, but Bara was recorded. This begs the question about why is this notin our English translation? Perhaps it is that when we study the Bible more deeply God wanted
gives us some inspiring discoveries to motivate us. Bible states that what was hidden will be
revealed in the last days.
Second: the word used for God in the Hebrew is Elohim which is theplural noun, used
as a singularway. It is a mistake in grammar because it should be singular noun, but should itbe? Instead this is God giving us a hint (a God wink) about Gods identity that is discovered in
detail throughout the New Testament -- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
There are no mistakes. You also see this in the English translation when God says in GenesisLet US make man in OUR image. Its another God wink.
Finally, looking at this same verse in Hebrewwe find the number 7 repeated many times.
Seven Hebrew words, number of letters: (28 = 4 x 7), first three words: (14 letters = 2 x 7), last
four words (14 letters = 2 x 7), fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh words have seven letters. Threekey words: God, heaven earth have (14 letters = 2 x 7), and the four remaining words have (14letters = 2 x 7).
Why is this important? Its another God wink or clue to the inspiration God provided to
the many authors of the Bible. Think this would be easy to do? Think again its not, but waityou will see examples that would require odds of 40 million to one to have happened byaccident.

The BibleA Message of Supernatural Origin
We will submit to you absolute proof that man could not have written the Bible withoutGods direct inspiration. Since God has the technology to create us in the first place, He
certainly has the technology to get a message to us. But how does He authenticate His message?
How does He assure us that the message is really from Him and not a fraud or invention by
mankind?
One way to make sure the message is from God is to demonstrate that its source is fromoutside of what we know as time. Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient
times things that are not yet done, (Isaiah 46:10) Gods message includes history written in
advance. This is call prophecy. We will show you a small sample of detailed evidenceregarding how the Bible predicts events hundreds and thousands of years into the future with
100% accuracy. One such example we offer is the rebirth of Israel as a nation, which is a widely
known event in 1948.
Another clear example of how the Bible has supernatural inspiration is in messageswithin the text itself. Some messages are in plain sight in the text through root meaning of
words. Other messages are a demonstration of supernatural influence through the use of letters,words and types of words. One such example is Bible verses with multiples of 7 i.e., number ofwords divisible by 7, number of letters that are multiples of 7, number of names divisible by 7and so on. A third example is called a skip letter sequence where a consistent number of letters
to skip over is applied to scripture to arrive at a selected letter and by repeating this process spell
out words. There is a criticism that given a sufficient number pages you can find messages inany book. You will see these examples do not fall into that category of mindless imbedded code.
These examples would be difficult if not impossible to duplicate today using computers and
totally impossible for someone writing 2,000 years ago.

(integration) without discrepancy. Anyone can clarify a significant scripture in one book withscripture from another book that was possibly written hundreds or a thousand years earlier. In
fact, the rule of verse clarification is to verify meaning by two or more different scriptures, a
common practice among those who diligently study the Bible. There are cross referencesprovided in todays Bibles. This clarification of scripture using different scriptures is veryspecific in nature just as scripture is very specific. This inter connectivity between the many
pages, authors and time, supports the knowledge that the Bible has one author - God. We will
show you the design within the text itself that can only be explained by a supernatural designer.There has never been a valid claim made to disprove any of the Bible by any means necessary
for intellectual investigation.
Bible predicts the future with 100% accuracy

God is outside of time as seen in the big bang and so time is all the same as AlbertEinstein is quoted to say People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction

The Bible makes 1,817 predictions on 737 separate matters, representing 26.8% of the
Bible. These predictions about the future are made with 100% accuracy. You would expect
nothing less than absolute accuracy since all predictions come directly from God to a prophetwho records what was spoken to him. Most predict future events are 100's and even 1,000's of
years in advance. Archeology has never disproved a single predictionknown as prophecy in the
Bible. Investigations confirm not disprove accuracy of these prophecies. The Biblical historical
record is routinely used as a resource in the study of ancient times.
Perhaps you have been told that these predictions are vague and therefore subject tointerpretation. Perhaps you are thinking that these predictions are just for events in ancient
history. Wrong on both accounts, these predictions were and are very detailed events happeningas predicted right up to current events in your evening news. The number of these predicted

The book of Daniel makes so many very specific predictions proven by historical events
that critics were certain that the Bible records were changed at a later date to fit the recorded
details. This widely held suspicion was disproved in 1957 with the discovery of manuscriptscalled the Dead Sea Scrolls which were preserved by being buried in a clay jars in a desert cave.
These ancient scrolls date back to the time of the original Bible manuscripts and remained
untouched since that time. The Dead Sea Scrolls have every book in the Bible except Ester andevery book matches those of the previously discovered 5,000 plus ancient manuscripts.Consider, 5,000 plus hand written Biblical manuscripts areaccurate comparing one to another
with only minor exceptions. This fact alone is a miracle.
We will show prophecy that has been fulfilled which you know to be true or are easily
verified with an internet search. Many prophecies are connected to another prophecy makingfulfillment necessary to continue the progression. We have seen and are seeing many prophecies
coming true. All the prophecies that would be required to happen before the return of Jesus
Christ have already happened, the greatest of these is the creation of the nation of Israel in 1948.

reign of Tiberius which began in 14 AD. (14 AD + 14 years of reign = 28 AD) This event is the
4th
Passover in the ministry of Jesus. Following: 28 AD plus 4th
Passover or 4 years = 32 AD.
Passover is well documented in Jewish history and the day is confirmed by 3 verses in the NewTestament.

Destruction Israel and people exiled
Moses (2,600 years ago) - Deuteronomy 28:64 (written 7 BC) Moses predicted thedestruction of Israel and their people deported to Babylonia (588 BC) and scattered among the
nations by Rome (70 AD). Of the second destruction Moses said of the people, the Lord will
scatter you among all the people from one end of the earth to the other. It goes on to provide a
quality of life that is hauntingly true for most Jews throughout and up to recent history.
Jesus predicts the destruction of Solomons Temple (Matthew 21:2) Jesus Christpredicted the destruction 40 years before it happened in 70 AD. When shown the temple
buildings Jesus responded by saying Do you see all these? Truly I tell you, there will not be lefthere one stone upon another that will not be thrown down. All that remains of Solomonstemple today is one wall known as the wailing wall. The Roman attack set fire to the temple
and it burned to the ground. There were many gold pieces in the temple and they melted under
the extreme heat. To retrieve the gold the army took the building apart removing stone uponstone.
The Jews return to their land Israel
Prophet Isaiah (740 BC - 2,700 years ago) (Isaiah 11:10-12) -In that day the Lord
will reach out his hand a second time to bring back the remnant of his people Then the verse
goes on to list the geographic areas from which these people will return and in the exact same
order that they actually returned. This order of return was effected by governments like Russia
and Ethiopia who delayed the exile of the Jews.
Prophet Ezekiel (593 BC - 2,600 years ago)(Ezekiel 36:24)-For I will take you from
among the nations and gather you out of countries and bring you into your own land. All of
Ezekiel 36 describes the difficult life of the Jews in exile that if you know anything much abouttheir history will ring true and it describes their return.
The most repeated Old Testament prophecy is the prediction that the Jewish people will
be re-gathered from the "four corners of the earth" in the end-times.
Establish the Nation State of IsraelA first in human history.
(Isaiah 66:7-8)-Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come
forth in a mere moment? He (God) will raise a flag among the nations and assemble the exiles
of Israel After almost 2,000 years Israel became a Nation in a single day on May 14, 1 948.Never has a race of people returned to the land of origin or have re-constituted a national
identity.

(Isaiah 35) - Even the wilderness and desert will be glad in those days. The wasteland
will rejoice and blossom
(Ezekiel 36:35)- And when I bring you back, people will say, This former wasteland is
now like the Garden of Eden! The abandoned and ruined cities now have strong walls and arefilled with people!
The land of Israel was barren and without trees. Turkish ownership of this land taxedtrees and so to avoid taxes trees were cut down. The land would experience a miracle of
reclamation and the desert would bloom again, which is a remarkable statement since in 1948 theland was a wasteland without any trees. Israel leads the world in the production of flowers and is
the number one producer of citrus for all of Europe.
Revival of the Hebrew language -- A first in human history.
Zephaniah (640BC)(Zephaniah 3:9) " For then I wil l r estore to the peoples a pure
language that all may call on the name of the Lord." After the Jews were exiled in 70 AD, they
began speaking the languages of their new homes or a mixture of Hebrew (their originallanguage) and the language of their new home. The Hebrew was not spoken by anyone
considered to be a dead language. In November 29, 1922 Hebrew language was restored andtaught and now its the official language of Israel once again. No dead language has ever beenrestored to use before or since this time
Prophecy fulfilled by Jesus Christ
There over 300 prophecies regarding Jesus Christ in the Bible. Jesus Christ - split time
from BC to AD and fulfilled 108 prophecies when He can to earth the first time. All of the
prophecies were intentionally created and fulfilled, but some were less obvious in His ability tocontrol. One such prophecy is from the Old Testament Micah 5:2.
Micah 5:2 But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah though you are little among the thousands of
Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose going forth are
from of old, from everlasting
Micah recorded what God spoke to him 750 years before Jesus was born. This is likesomeone in the year 982 writing down that in 1732 George Washington would be born and come
from Mr. Vernon, VA and will become president of the United States of America.
Bethlehem means "House of Bread" Ephrathah means fruitfulness, fruit fields, vineyards
which produced wine for the most part in that day. Today this area remains an abundant wineproducing area.
The reason why Jesus was born in Bethlehem is that Joseph had to return to his birthplace
because of a Roman census as ordered by Caesar. The census was recorded by Rome but noreason was ever recorded for this census, no census was ever conducted before or after by the
Romans.
Born in that very little city was the Bread of Life and the Cup of Wine or our Salvation aswe Christians celebrate in worship to our risen Christ Jesus. The Son of God Jesus became man
to empower us to become the sons and daughters of God because God keeps His word, God
comes in Person and God saves His people.

(Psalms 22:16) (Matthew 27:31) They pierced My hands and My feet and recorded
as witnessed in Psalms was written 1,000 years before the crucifixion and 500 years before there
was the practice of crucifixion.
(Isaiah 53:12) Because He poured out His soul unto death and He was numbered with
the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors
Jesus was crucified with thieves as recorded in Matthew 27:38 and crucifixion wasinvented 150 years after Isaiah.

New Testament are accurate copies of the original documents
A common misunderstanding about the New Testament is that there is one document
when in fact there are 27 different scrolls (documents) by nine different writers over a maximum
of 20 to 30 year period. None of the original documents have been discovered and copies of theoriginals are what we have, which does not mean they are not exacting representation of the
originals. Confidence in accuracy is greatly supported by an enormous number of early copies
called manuscripts which still exist today. At last count there are nearly 5,686 hand-writtenGreek manuscripts of the New Testament and more than 9,000 manuscripts in other languages.
Some of these nearly 15,000 manuscripts were complete Bibles, others individual books of the
New Testament and some were fragments. Most ancient works number fewer than a dozen andthe famous Iliad by Home has only 643 manuscripts. What truly makes this huge volume of
manuscripts incredible is that so many survived the killing machine Roman army that sought
to destroyed churches, manuscripts, books and all Christians from A.D. 303 to A.D. 311. Nodoubt countless manuscripts and complete Bibles were destroyed during that period. Even if the
Romans destroyed every manuscripts we could still reconstruct the New Testament. Why?
Because the early church fathers of the second and third centuries such as Justin Martyr,
Irenaeus, Clement of Alexandria, Origen, Tertullian, and other quoted the New Testament
36,289 times. In summary, we have thousands of ancient manuscripts with thousands ofquotations from those manuscripts sufficient to reconstruct the original text thereby making
accuracy virtually certain. Extensive research by many experts calculate that 98.33 percent ofthe text is pure and the remaining percentage in question has no effect on the doctrine of the
Christian faith.
New Testament -- accurate and truthful
Using the criteria historians use to determine the truthfulness and the accuracy of
historical documents there is every indication the New Testament is true and accurate. The New
Testament was written very early after Resurrection of Jesus and that statement is established bywhat is not reported in the text. The Jewish temple was the center of that culture and the Roman
army destroyed it in A.D. 70. There is no record of its destruction in the New Testament and for
sure it would have been recorded. Most of the New Testament was written before A.D. 62 (lessthan 30 years after the Resurrection of Jesus) and we know that because non-Christian historian
Josephus recorded that apostle James, who was also the brother of Jesus, was killed in 62.
Again, there is no mention of that key event. For the sake of being brief, there is a solid case

established that most of content of the New Testament was written between the years of 30 A.D.
and 50 A.D., a very brief time period considering Jesus Resurrection and Ascension into Heaven
was in 33 A.D. Most scholars (including liberals) believe that the testimony of Apostle Paul in 1Corinthians 15:3-8 was part of an early creed that dates back to within months of the
Resurrection itself. There are over 40 other creeds in the New Testament written at the
approximate time of the events themselves.Eye witness account of seeing Jesus Christ after His Resurrection was reported in the
scripture 1 Corinthians 15:3-8. In that scripture it states that: fourteen eyewitnesses, whosenames are known, and more than 500 other eyewitnesses at one time saw Jesus Christ. The
statement of over 500 eyewitnesses is more like over 1,000 because during that time period
only men were counted and no doubt women and children were also in attendance to this miracleof all miracles. Also in this group of witnesses were skeptics: Jesus brother James, and a fierce
enemy Saul of Tarsus, who later became known as Apostle Paul when he wrote more than one
third of the New Testament. What gives this list of 500 plus witnesses special authority is the
statement that most witnesses were still alive. This means you can verify the truth of thisstatement directly with the witnesses themselves. Some skeptics point to the fact that we have
not heard anything from the 500 witnesses. Again, perhaps there are documents still missing andremember this is an oral culture meaning most of those witnesses were illiterate. Even so howmany people today with our abilities to communicate take the time to write a book or article on
any subject? Not many, if any out of group of 500 people.
A key objection raised about the New Testament is that it is legend and myth because it
was written so many years after the fact. We have established that there is no opportunity forthis effect when it was written well within a generation. Take note, if there was ever a place that
a legendary resurrection could not occur it was Jerusalem, because the Jews and the Romans
were all eager to squash Christianity and could have easily done so by parading the Jesus body
around the city.
Why was there a time delay in the written record and the events? We have shown thatsome of the text content was created very close to the time of the resurrection. But in general
why the delay:
$ The vast majority of people were illiterate and so there was no initial need to write it down.
By necessity the people developed strong memories in order to remember and pass oninformation. This skill was a highly valued skill practiced from an early age and a key
element in sacred tradition for more than a thousand years. Additionally, this skill was broad
based in the culture so the audience would immediately correct any error in a presentation.
$ It is reasonable to think that the writers may have had high hopes that Jesus was going to
come back in their lifetime and so there was no reason to write it down. As they aged
perhaps they thought it wise to write their observations down.$ As Christianity spread all over the ancient world, writing became the most efficient means to
communicate with the rapidly expanding church. Time and distance required NewTestament writer to write down their testimony.
Many scholars believe there actually were written sources that predate the Gospels.

Consider the fact that Apostle Matthew was skilled at writing short hand as was required for
someone in his profession as a tax official. No doubt he put this skill to use in recording Jesus
words found in the Gospels.
Consider, Apostle Luke was a doctor and considered a valuable ancient historicalresource by todays researchers. While Luke was not an eyewitness to the Resurrection events
he did record testimony by those who were and he personally witnessed many New Testamentevents. Luke reports a total of 35 miracles in the same book in which he records 84 historically
and archaeologically confirmed details. The miracle accounts show no signs of embellishmentor extravagance, they are told with the same level headed efficiency as the rest of the historical
narrative. Lukes history is unsurpassed in respect of its trustworthiness which places him as a
historian of the first rank. In light of the fact that Luke has proven accurate with so many trivialdetails, it is nothing but pure anti-supernatural bias to say hes not telling the truth about the
miracles he records. It is reasonable to think that Luke is telling the truth, then so are Mark and
Matthew because their Gospels tell the same basic story.
Apostle Johns Gospel follows a different path that the first three Gospels when telling of
the same events. He was an eyewitness to every major event in the three year ministry of Jesus
Christ. When we couple Johns knowledge of Jesus personal conversations with nearly sixtyhistorically confirmed/historically probable details, is there no doubt that John was an
eyewitness.
In summary: No err or can be tied to time delay or means of communication. We candismiss the objection of error due to oral communications because it is not relevant because the
New Testament was not transmitted in that way. Numerous people independently witnessed
New Testament events and nine of those eyewitnesses put their observations in writing.
There is no indication that New Testament writers lied
Research confirm over 140-plus eyewitness details, and 30-plus references to real people.
Independent non-Christian writers collectively reveal a storyline similar to the New Testament.Why would those sources lie and certainly the writers would never lie. Due to the subject of
their writing just the opposite is true. Even to most harsh critics would agree that Jesus Christ setthe standard for moral conduct. Followers of Jesus suddenly abandon their livelihoods and
treasured religious tradition for these new beliefs. Their lives were in jeopardy for the same
reasons Jesus was killed, plus by their religious tradition they were condemned to hell. Indeed,their conversion and bias may have actually driven them to be more accurate certainly not to lie
or distort when doing so would be against those very principals they gave their life to promote.
There was no incentive for these dedicated followers to lie. Every one of them were beaten,
tortured and eventually killed for their faith. Apostle John was imprisoned and exiled andbelieved to have died of natural causes. Power, money and wealth was never an outcome or a
motivation of the early church members.Independent eye witness testimony is the result of the New Testament being a collection
of largely independent writings from the pens of nine different authors. It was not written oredited by one person or by the church. While the New Testament writers describe many of the
same events and may even draw material from the same earlier sources, the evidence indicates

that the New Testament documents contain several lines of independent eyewitness testimony.
We know it is eyewitness because 1) each major author includes early and unique material that
only eyewitnesses would know and 2) their accounts describe the same basic events but includedivergent details. Divergent details are important because if the accounts were all from one
source or a single editor, there would be harmonization, not divergence of details. Multiple,
independent eyewitnesses confirm that the events really occurred and provide additional detailsthat a single source might miss. Historians call this coherence with dissimilarity.
There are six sane, sober eyewitnesses for the Resurrection, who refused to deny their
testimony even under the threat of death. Such testimony would yield a verdict that is certain
beyond a reasonable doubt. Unless you saw the event yourself, you cant be any more certain
that those historical events actually occurred.
Further Evidence for New Testament Truthfulness
The only reasonable motivation for any deviation from the truth is that the writers seek togain a positive public opinion. You would not include the following elements if broad public
acceptance were your goal.
Embarrassing details regarding follower conduct
Details like how followers were repeatedly slow to understand what Jesus was saying
even when the meaning was obvious. Or how they were uncaring when Jesus was under thegreatest trials and He ask them to stay with Him, instead they slept. They abandoned Him during
His arrest, trail and execution (John and the women followers were at the crucifixion). All the
followers, except John and the women, went into hiding before and after the crucifixion andmade no effort at providing a proper burial. The women followers stood by Jesus and are the
first to discover the empty tomb. This is especially embarrassing given that the social status of
women was such that their testimony was not creditable on any level. Even after Jesus
resurrection from the dead the disciples are doubtful when they hear of the resurrection when
told by one of the women, even though Jesus told them about all these events - they seemedunable to comprehend. After the empty tomb and Jesus appearance some remained doubtful
until they saw Him for themselves.
Embarrassing details regarding about Jesus
They include statements that seem to place Jesus in a bad light. Statements like thatJesus was considered out of His mind by His family (mother and brothers) and they sought to
bring him home (Mark 3:21, 31). Jesus not believed by His own brothers (John 7:5). He was
thought to be a deceiver (John 7:12). Jesus deserted by many of His followers (John 6:66).Upset the Jews who believed in Him to the point that they wanted to stone Him to death (John
8:30-31 and v. 59). Jesus called a drunkard (Matt. 11:19). Jesus called demon-possessed
(Mark 3:22; John 7:20, 8:48). Jesus called a madman (John 10:20). Crucified by the Jew and
Romans, despite the fact that anyone who is hung on a tree is under Gods curse according toJewish tradition (Deut. 21:23; Gal. 3:13).
Difficult Statements by Jesus

the Father is greater than I (John 14:28). Seems to predict His return to earth within a
generation (Matt. 24:34). Says about His second coming, that no one knows thetime, not even
the angels in heaven, nor the Son (Matt. 24:36). He seems to be unable to do miracles in Hishometown, except to heal a few sick people (Mark 6:5).
Demanding Sayings of Jesus
Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on theright cheek, turn to him theother also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well.
If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you anddo not turn away the one who wants to borrow from you (Matt. 5:39-42). I tell you: Love your
enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.
(Matt. 5:39-42). Be perfect... as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matt 5:48). Do not store
up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where
thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matt.
7:1-2) Looking at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart
(Matt. 5:28). Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others,
you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. (Matt. 7:1-2).
All of these commands are difficult or impossible for human beings to keep and seem to
go against the natural best interests of the men who wrote them down. They certainly are
contrary to the desires of many today who want a religion of spirituality that has no moraldemandno fault religion. If you are making up the Christianity story and trying to pass it
off as the truth, would you not simply make up more quotes from Jesus to convince stubborn
people to see things our way? The simple truth is that the writers were duty bound to a highstandard of conduct as demonstrated by their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Events included related to the Resurrection that they would not have invented
They record that Jesus was buried by a member of the Jewish religious authority, the
same authority that arranged for the crucifixion of Jesus. This is not a fact they would welcomeconsidering that some Christians harbored bitterness against those same authorities. They putthis member of the authority in a favorable light because it was true. The place of the tomb was
very well known by the general population and the burial story and subsequent empty tomb
was never disputed.
Take into account the first witness to the empty tomb were women. One of those womenwas reported in (Luke 8:2) to demon-possessed. Women in general were not considered reliable
witnesses in that first-century culture.
Consider the skeptic question of why the risen Jesus didnt appear to the religious
leaders? The answer might be that it wasnt necessary. This is often overlooked, but many
priests in Jerusalem became believers (Acts 6:7). Who is to say that priests were not among the500 eyewitnesses, its easy to believe many where in attendance, after all many became
Christian.
Then there is the explanation of the Jewish leaders regarding the empty tomb (Matt
28:11-15). This verse reports the details of the explanation is commonly reported among theJews until this day or in other words common knowledge. The story is that the guards fell

asleep and the disciples took the body. Matthew reports that the chief priests paid the soldiers a
large sum of money to support this story. These soldiers were the Jewish temple guard not
Roman. The bigger fact is, the tomb must have been empty because it is confirmed by thereligious authorities in promoting that specific explanation from that day and through the second
century. To this day the empty tomb is regarded as a fact by all concerned.
Thirty historically confirmed people are included in their writingsThere is no way a New Testament writer could have gotten away with writing outright
lies about 30 people of great notoriety and power. Remember these were not the only peoplewriting during the period of history. Jewish authorities that would be all to-happy to find fault in
what they considered to be lies and they certainly had the opportunity to record such faults.
They could not dispute facts were true and the historical details were common knowledge.
Different details about the same events reported in the Gospels
Critics are quick to cite the apparently contradictory Gospel account as evidence that the
Gospels cant be trusted for accurate information. Just the opposite is true: different detailsstrengthen the case that these are eyewitness accounts. In a court of law when a judge hears two
witnesses giving exactly the same word-for-word testimony, what does that judge rightlyassume? Collusion the witnesses got together beforehand to make their stories agree. Thesedifferences in eyewitness accounts in the New Testament are typical in eyewitness account and
speak to what was more or less important detail in their description. In no place does such
difference have any bearing on faith in Jesus Christ. These details are just elements in the eventthat they witnessed, i.e., one angel (that was noticed) and two angels present (reported) in the
tomb by two disciples.
Critics also complain that the Gospels are too much the same or uniform to be
independent sources. Actually, they are a perfect blend of both. They are both sufficiently
uniform and sufficiently different precisely because they are independent eyewitness account ofthe same events. They are complementary not contradictory, all agreeing on the same major fact
Jesus rose form the dead, appeared to them for 40 days then ascended into heaven right beforetheir eyes.
Miracles events presented with simple wording
The Gospels give matter-of-fact, almost bland description of the Resurrection and othermiracles. The Resurrection is the central event in Christianity. As Paul wrote, if Christ has not
been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins (1 Cor. 15:17)If the Resurrection were
a made-up story designed to convince skeptics, then the New Testament writers certainly wouldhave made their accounts longer with more detail.
Consider that these writers challenge their readers to check out verifiable facts, even
about miracles. Paul boldly declaration to King Agrippa about the Resurrected Christ (Acts 26)
and Pauls restatement of an early creed that identified more than 500 eyewitnesses of the risenChrist (1 Corinthians 15) Paul declares in his letter to the Corinthians that he previouslyperformed miracles for them, certainly those facts could have been challenged. His credibility
would be destroyed by such a claim, but quite the contrary every one of the many churchs that
Paul established held him in high esteem.

The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor
knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:17)
Today, born-again believers everywhere experience the presence of the Risen Christ
Jesus. In prayer or church service believers frequently experience the Joy of the Lordspresence. You too can know the undeniable presence of the Lord Jesus and it starts with a desire
to know Him.New Testament writers abandoned their long-held sacred beliefs and practices,
adopted new ones and did not deny their testimony under persecution or threat of death
And it not just the New Testament writers who did this thousands of Jerusalem Jews,including Jewish Pharisee priests, converted to Christianity. New Testament writers and well
over 10,000 plus people abandoned treasured beliefs and practices virtually overnight, forming
an emerging church. Over 3,000 new members were gained in a single prayer meeting. Only
Jesus Christs Resurrection could have accomplished this feat. These large number of convertedJews would explain why the Jewish religious authority could not punish or kill the followers of
Jesus immediately for violation of these sacred beliefs. Before this explosive growth they could
have been killed for what they believed and practiced just as they did Jesus Christ.
Its important to consider how important the Jewish beliefs and practices were during thattime period. Picture a big circle with a small dot in the middle. In America, that dot would
symbolize the faith of people and the circle represents the rest of their life. In Israel, during this
time in history, the circle would symbolize peoples faith and the dot represents the rest of theirlife. Jesus Christ death, burial and Resurrection was a radical transforming event that changed
most details of core beliefs and actions in the people then as it does today.
Why would they die for a lie?
All of the New Testament writers suffered persecution and all but one was killed for their
faith when denial of that faith could have saved them. Not one abandoned their faith and the
only survivor was John, who was exiled to the Greek island of Patmos. The Resurrection was
true and not a lie because they verified it with their own senses. They saw, touched and ate withthe risen Jesus on several occasions. And they were eyewitnesses to more than thirty miracles
performed by Jesus. Followers of Jesus needed very little faith to believe in the Resurrection.
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ has sufficient documented historical evidence thatthe faith necessary to f il l i n the remain ing gap is reasonable.
Non-Christian resources - no affi rmi ng bias here: Flavius Josephus (ca. 37 - ca. 100)
became the greatest Jewish historian during his time serving as a historian for the Romanemperor Domitian. One of the most famous works is Antiquities of the Jews, finished in A.D.
93. He was not a believer of Jesus Christ. In book 18, chapter 3, section 3 he writes:
At this time [the time of Pilate] there was a wise man who was called Jesus. His
conduct was good and (he) was known to be virtuous. And many people for among the Jews and
the other nations became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. Butthose who had become his disciples did not abandon his discipleship. They reported that He had

appeared to them three days after his crucifixion and that he was alive; accordingly he was
perhaps the Messiah, concerning whom the prophets have recounted wonders.
Counting Josephus, there are 10 non-Christian sources that mention Jesus and only 9
sources that mention the ruling emperor of that time period. Including non-Christian and
Christian sources, authors mentioning Jesus outnumber 43 to 10 those who mentioning the
emperor.Anti-Christian sources prove to be very valuable - such as Celsus, Tacitus and the Jewish
Talmud (Old Testament). We learn that they admit certain facts about early Christianity thathelp us piece together a storyline that is surprisingly similar with the New Testament. Piecing
together all ten non-Christian references, we see that:
Jesus lived during the time of Tiberius Caesar
He lived a virtuous life
He was a wonder-worker (miracles)
He had a brother named James
He was acclaimed to be the Messiah (Son of God) He was crucified under Pontius Pilate
He was crucified on the eve of the Jewish Passover
Darkness and an earthquake occurred when He died
His disciples believed He rose from the dead
His disciples were willing to die for their belief
Christianity spread rapidly as far as Rome
We have more eyewitness documents and earlier eyewitness documents for the
Resurrection than for anything else from the ancient world. Moreover, these documents
include more historical details and figures that have been corroborated by more independentand external sources than any other event from the ancient world. And as weve just reviewedwe also have more than a usual amount of circumstantial evidence supporting the Resurrection.
This evidence presented to you supports belief in Jesus beyond a reasonable doubt. But what
about physical evidence to support Bible accounts of physical happenings? We have that too....
Physical Evidence for New Testament Truthfulness
Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninthhour. (Mark 15:33)
When Jesus Christ died they sky darkened and the earth quaked
The Gospel of Mark writes about darkness in the daytime for 3 hours during Jesuscrucifixion and the Temple veil being torn in two when Jesus dies. Gospel of Luke follow Mark;
as does Matthew, adding an earthquake and the resurrection of saints.
Non-Christian Greek historian Phlegon writing in the 2nd
century AD with regard to theeclipse in the time of Tiberius Caesar, in whose reign Jesus appears to have been crucified and

the great earthquakes which then took place. Historian Thallus This darkness appears to me
without reason, an eclipse of the sun.For the Hebrews celebrate the Passover on the 14th
day
according to the moon and the passion of our Savior falls on the day before the Passover; but aneclipse of the sun takes place only when the moon comes under the sun. A solar eclipse
concurrent with a full moon is a scientific impossibility. Christian apologist Tertullian wrote In
the same hour, too, the light of day was withdrawn, when the sun at the very time was in hismeridian blaze. Those who were not aware that this had been predicted about Christ, no doubtthought it an eclipse. You yourselves have the account of the world-portent still in your
archives. The darkened sun was experienced as far away as Rome, Italy.
The earthquake possibility was confirmed by a study by geologists. A new study of earth
core samples and seismic activity near the Dead Sea (Israel) provide scientific data relating to theearthquake described in Matthew 27. Geologists examined disturbances in sediment deposits to
identify two earthquakes: one large earthquake in 31 B.C. and another smaller quake between 26
and 36 A.D. and those discoveries were reported in International Geology Review.
The burial cloth (shroud) and burial face cloth of Jesus Christ
Considered to be the most convincing physical evidence of the Resurrection of Jesus
Christ. Studied by teams of top scientists they uncovered proof of the supernatural miracle
printed on a 2,000 year old piece of linen.
Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen
cloths lying there,7
and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen
cloths, but folded together in a place by itself.(John 20: 6)
The burial cloth is called the Shroud of Turin
Named for the town in which the shroud is kept Turin Italy, this amazing proof of the
Resurrection of Jesus Christ is provided for you in a centuries old linen cloth that bears exactdetails of our crucified Jesus Christ. No single artifact of the past has had the intense
investigation by so many people of various scientific areas of expertise. Investigation began
when in 1898 the first photograph of the shroud was taken. Looking at the negative of film anegative image should have appeared, but no just the opposite a positive image was clearly
visible. Instead of the shadowy figure displayed on the shroud, this photographic negative
displayed a sharply detailed image of the crucified Jesus, consistent with the wounds reported in
the Bible. In 1978 a five day intensive study resulted in over 150,000 hours of research andsince that time thousands of additional hours of testing and study have disclosed a large volume
of results and we will outline just a few of them.
In 1931 many more photographs were taken of the shroud. With the long exposure time
needed for sufficient light to create the image these photographs where more detailed than theprevious photos. NASA analysis, developed to study planetary 2D photographs creating 3D
images, was used my scientists to analyze these 1931 photographs. They found that these 1931
photographs displayed 3D images. Much later these same photographs were digitized. The
resulting data was surprising. Instead of the expected digital file of up to 300 MB, the file was

1GB or 4 times the amount of information. Further investigation disclosed that the shroud
displays holographic qualities which has been captured on DVD made available to public and it
is listed in the references titled the Fabric of Time. Put the glasses on and clearly the shroudimage is 3D.
Its been an ongoing mystery how the image of the man has been applied. The image of
Jesus appears only on one side of the shroud and the reverse side has blood and water stainsonly. Although the image appears to be a scorch, like what could be achieved with a hot iron, it
is not. No dyes, ink, stain or paint is present anywhere on the shroud. Using ultraviolet light,which detects where heat has distorted fabric, the burn marks from the 1532 fire light up
indicating heat scorch, but the image of the man does not. Further investigation discloses the
image is very superficial and only effects the top 1 to 2 microfibers of the threads. Each thread ismade up of approximately 200 micro fibers so this image of Jesus resides on about one percent
of a single thread. In 2011 experiments were conducted to attempt to duplicate the
characteristics of the shrouds image. Duplication was achieved by using an ultraviolet excimer
laser a 40 nanosecond burst directed at similar linen. This burst of energy achieved the exactsame effect as is displayed on the shroud.
Fingers on the image appear to be too long which was an aspect previously used todiscredit the authenticity. Further investigation disclosed the image is skeletal so the length of
the fingers is actually bones that appear through the flesh much like an x ray. Moving thisinspection to other areas of the body discloses the appearance of teeth and bones in the wrist.
Further detail study of highly magnified photos disclosed that there were coins place on
the eyes and one of those coins appear to be the widows mite similar to our penny. Further,
that coin has marks (UCAI and a shepherd crook) that would indicate the production of that cointo be during the reign of Pontus Pilate 29 to 33 AD which coincides with the specific area and
time of Jesus Resurrection. There is video footage of this enlargement to support this
observation.
There has always been some confusion about a line and shadowy image below the chinarea. Using this same investigation method they discovered that this area is a plaque. Printingon the plaque is in Hebrew and it is three letters ABA which means ABBA or an affectionate
name for Father like Daddya term used in prayer to God even today.
The shroud is 14' 3" by 3' 7" in size and the body of Jesus was laid length wise so that the
shroud covered both the front and back side of His body. Reported in Gospels a very fine qualitylinen cloth purchased by Joseph of Arimathea and used in the burial of Jesus. Fabric of the
shroud fits this description with a 3 to 1 herringbone weave design using top quality fabric
clearly expensive in that day. The image printed on the shroud is both of the front and back ofHis body. Assuming that the image was created when He was lying down there would be the
effects of gravity where the body touched the surface upon which He was lying. Rounded
shapes of muscles would flatten somewhat by the pressure of His weight against that surface, butthe image does not display any distortion. It is as if His body were elevated off the surface, theshroud were stretched tight and the image was imprinted upon the surface of the linen. There is
no distortion which is amazing given that the shroud must have been wrinkled, tied, wrapped
around the body. Only by being stretched tight could this ever happen.

Forensic science is the scientific study of crime scene evidence. Applying those
scientific principles to the image of the body discloses an abundance of evidence to support the
authenticity as the burial shroud of Jesus and here are a select number of the many factsuncovered:
The image of the body displayed on the shroud has numerous unmistakable traits of a
corpse that until the 20th
century could not have been known by a forgery painter in the14
thcentury.
The shroud fits the exact size of cloths used for burial and the linen is made in the weavedesign of the 1
stcentury Middle East. Plus the cotton used is from a species found in the
Middle East and not found in Europe.
It contains pollen grains from 58 species of plants, 17 from Europe where the shroud hasbeen stored and the rest are identified exclusively to the area consistent with the Jesus
story the Dead Sea.
There are images of flowers imprinted into the material that have been identified to exist
during the time and place of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
The image is printed over what is identified as human AB blood stains.
Investigation of a blood particle demonstrated a high level of bilirubin which would beconsistent with severe beating.
Whip marks are consistent with two people of varying height who carried out the
whipping. The 100 plus whip marks left wound images consistent with the design of aRoman whip where there is a metal ball or a piece of bone connected to the individual
thongs. These metal or bone pieces would imbed through the skin into the underlying
tissue which is clearly indicated on the shroud.
Clearly a side wound is visible consistent with the crucifixion account in scripture.
Abrasion and compression marks on the wounds of the shoulders indicate a heavy weightbeing carried following the whipping. One knee was injured in an apparent fall,
consistent with Gospel accounts of the half mile journey to the crucifixion.
Puncture wound in the wrists shown and the thumbs of the crucified Jesus are rotated
inward as a result of median nerve damage that would certainly occur with this wound.
Note: A charge that the shroud was a medieval forgery has been made based upon an obviously
flawed radiocarbon test made in 1988 which dated the shroud to the 14th
century. Although such
testing of fabric has proven problematic in past in studies of Egyptian mummies, skepticsdismissed the shroud as just another religious fraud. Additionally, and the area of the shroud
where the sample taken is questionable due how close it is to a patch. What this test did do is
motivate this team of scientist to make an intensive study of the shroud. The overwhelming
evidence should convince even the most skeptical except those with a strong bias against anyevidence. In the face of blind bias none of this booklet will be acceptable.
The burial face cloth is called Sudarium of Oviedo
Named for the cathedral in Spain where it is kept, the face cloth is unlike the Shroud of
Turin because it does not contain any printed images. It does contain a large amount of the same

AB blood chemistry and evidence as the shroud. It was placed on Jesus head while still on the
cross and wrapped around the head in burial. It was Jewish tradition that if a face is disfigured
then a face cloth would be used in this manner. What makes this cloth so amazing is that whenthe image of this cloth is overlain on this head portion of the Shroud of Turin they match! Very
specifically the wounds on the neck created by the thorns are a match. The authenticity of the
Sudarium cloth has never been challenged and no scientific test ever performed. Links to videoevidence will show you why no testing is necessary the stains on the shroud and this face cloth
match very closely. Its proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
The day that the tomb of Jesus was discovered to be empty apostle Peter went inside. He
noticed the linenwrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus head was folded
up and lying to the side. The folded head napkin is very significant in Hebrew tradition of thatday. A folded napkin tradition was about the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew
this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was
exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly. If the master finished
eating, he would rise from the table and would wad up the dinner napkin tossing it onto the tablethereby signaling that he was finished with the meal. But if the master got up from the table, and
folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not touch the table, because thefolded napkin meant, Im coming back!
Overwhelm with Love not evidence
God could overwhelm us with absolute evidence that would convince us beyond all doubt
that He is God and Jesus is His son, so why doesnt He? What God wants most is our love andfellowship. As He did with Adam and Eve, He longs to walk in the garden during the cool of the
day with His creation that He created in His image and in His likeness. Free will made it
possible for His creation to love Him as He loves us. We love because He first loved us. (1
John 4:19) Free will creates the ability for genuine love and the pain of rejection. Questions
remain unanswered so that they may be answered by love. Answered by love? Yes, somequestions get answered by knowing that our Father God loves us, He is not angry with us and
that He offers His best so we can be in a loving relationship. Knowing that He loves us, we canbe assured that the answer to those unanswered questions is an answer that will be for our
highest goodthats faith in a Loving Father. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for
he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He rewards those who diligently seek
Him. (Hebrews 11:6).

The reason we believe that we ought to do good rather than evilthe reason we believewe should help people is because theres a Moral Law written on our hearts. Conscience or
Natural Law are other terms that can be used. Every Law has a Law Giver and there is a MoralLaw therefore there is a Moral Law Giver. Thats just simple logic. If there are moral
obligations there must be someone to be obligated to. One does not use reason to discover it,
you just know it and all people have a fundamental sense of right and wrong. Fundamentallyspeaking, there are absolute moral obligations that are binding on all people, at all times, in all
places. Now this does not mean that every moral issue has easily recognizable answers.
How do we know moral law exists you ask? For the sake of time well say that you do
know the following things: We have a sense of right and wrong based upon our reactions
(fairness, rightness, justice). Moral law is the basis of human rights (the rights of all people all
the time i.e., life) and it is the basis of the unchanging standard of Justice. Moral law is the realdifference between moral positions like Hitler and Mother Teresa . Perhaps the most popular
argument against the existence of God is the presence and persistence of evil in the world. Howcan we identify evil? Can you a call a line crooked without knowing what a straight line looks
like? You cannot know what evil is without knowing what good is. And you cant know what is
good unless there is an unchanging standard of good outside yourself. Outside of an objective
standard, any objection to evil is nothing but your personal opinion. The Holocaust was evil and
wrong based upon what? Not your personal opinion. Murdering of any innocent human is
wrong -- period. Without moral law there would be no way to measure moral differences. It is
how we measure the difference between Hitler and Mother Teresa, by appealing to an absoluteunchanging standard beyond both of them called moral law. Conversely, no moral law standard
-- no difference.The number one virtue of our ever increasing immoral culture is found in its tolerance.
Tolerance itself is a moral principal. Actually, Moral Law calls us to go beyond tolerance tolove. Tolerance is too weaktolerance says, hold your nose and put up with them. Love says,
reach out and help them. Tolerating evil is unloving and many in our culture want us to do just
that. Christians are routinely condemned as intolerant because they cannot accept certain
culturally accepted actions which violates the Moral Code in the Bible. In the politically correctsociety unacceptance is called intolerance. Christians are called to love, regardless of what you
may have heard or experienced. Social issues are emotionally charged with the arguments put
forth by both sides. Through popular media there is a tendency to paint those who disagree with
labels. The Bible calls us to love by reaching out to help. Does that happenyes it does. It is
too easy to see bad behavior and label an entire group in the light of that behavior, but it ishuman nature and it fuels TV viewer ratings. Taking someone down to build up our moral
authority is a favorite pastime in America. The Bible comes down hard on anyone passingjudgment on others and proclaims that we are to love those who talk unkindly toward us. It goes

cannot hope to communicate with God. They must make peace with alloffense.
The call to be tolerant is an unspoken admission that the behavior being toleratedis
wrong. Why? Because you dont need to plead with people to tolerate good behavior, only bad.
Unless you agree, you are labeled as intolerant.
It is the slippery slope that society begins to slide down when perceived rights of an
individual rule over known right and wrong Moral Lawissues labeled as Established MoralValues. For the sake of time lets jump right into the hot seat. Abortion controversy exists
because the opposing sides claim absolute moral value protecting life and the rights of awoman to control her body. If the unborn life was not considered to be a human being -- then
pro-liberty should rule. Conversely, if human -- then pro-life should be law and just like a
human life outside the womb it is protected. Life is a fundamental Moral Law. Pro-abortion
folks would probably reconsider their view point if it were theywho were in that womb. Theirreaction to being killed would remind them that abortion is really murder and clearly against
Moral Law. So in the end, this moral disagreement is not because morality is relative or because
the Moral Law isnt clear. This moral disagreement exists because some people suppress the
Moral Law in order to justify what they want to do. Its a matter of willrather than right and
wrong. When the will in society supports peoplesactions that are destructive, Moral Lawbegins to disappear from that societys conscience. Today the most dangerous place for a child
is in a mothers womb and that is a statistical fact.
Remember the sheep named Dolly? In 1996 scientists created a twin of Dolly by usingone of her cells. That gave birth to not only another sheep but the practice of cloning. Well it
didnt stop there. Some awareness of the ills of tampering with our food supply has exposed the
dangers of genetically modified food (GMO). Weed killer is probably not good to eat, on thatwe can agree. What about corn that kills weeds? Is that okay to eat? We all hope so because
wereeating it in many different food products every day. What about us humans? Remember
again the cloned sheep controversy and commitments to never experiment with human life. Well
what about stem cell research to cure disease? Is that okay? The controversy was about thesource of cells from aborted children, not the goal because helping the sick among us is very
much part of Moral Law. But what about changing DNA (building block of life) of humans?
Well, to what end? To cure illnesses or deformity? Is that a yes? What about growingtransplant organs? Well, it can save lives, certainly a worthy goal What about redefining what
it means to be human? Can we say wait just a minute? When power and money rule what was
meant for good can become evil. Can it have unintended consequences? Yes, just likegenetically modified food can and will most likely have unintended consequences in our health.
The controversy regarding stem cell research initiated then President Bush in January 2006 to
attempt to pass legislation to prohibit creating human-animal hybrids, buying, selling or
patenting human embryos. That legislation failed to pass. I thought he was exaggerating to sell
his cause about stem cell research where the supply of cells was at least in part from aborted
children. President Bush was able to restrict funding of experiments which was laterimmediately over turned by President Obama thereby opening up the flood gates of your tax
dollars and private funding for the development of transhumanism which is the developmentof human-animal hybrids, patents on human embryos? This is becoming our reality. This
activity to exploit a potential scientific horror show is taking place all over the globe including

the USA. Consider that with Darwin theory of development of life, this would violate the law of

Pharmaceutical investments are focused in growing human cells in animals or in the lab for the
purpose of testing new drugs. If they can shorten the average 15 year time span required fortesting new drugs that would result in billions of dollars in additional profit. The DefenseAdvanced Research Project (DARPA) also funds millions and you know its probably billions,
into the research of transhumanism. Take for an example the successful cross breeding a goat

give drugs to cows to make them produce more milk and we know that is not a good thing right?

and ethical global debate as to how much human can a creation be without having the
consideration of legal status? Up to 50% human is being discussed. Does that mean that therehas been a half human being created? Consider, our country has shifting limits on
experimentation, but many countries do not have any restrictions. Researchers will gladly accept
investor money from around the world. In nature you never see cross species reproduction and

Thinking about just these last two disturbing topics of death of unborn children and

portrayed by the statement was the path leading to their complete destruction as a nation that

Moral Law and the corresponding Moral Code of conduct exist in our society, but what isit called when society embraces conduct that is outside of the direct or indirect expression of the
Moral Code as detailed in the Bible? Its called sin. It is doing wrong when you know itswrong. Through the ages people have a sense of basic right and wrong. Those basic instincts are
the core values in the Ten Commandments were a building block of the United States as
witnessed by the fact that they are inscribed all over the buildings in our nations capital. Jesustook the Ten Commandments and condensed them into Two Commandments: Love the Lordyour God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. The second is like it:
You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-40)
Good vs. evil begs the question If God, Why Evil? God is all-good, all powerful,
creating the universe out of nothing qualifies as powerful, so why does He allow evil? How do
you know what good is unless there is evil? How do you know what good is unless there is anobjective standard of good beyond yourself? We can agree that events and actions have the
appearance of evil. What other term describes someone like Hitler? Our free will choice isdirectly connected.
If God were to do away with evil, then He would have to do away with free will choice.
Without free will choice we would no longer have the ability to love or do good things. If God
wanted to end evil now, He could. But have you thought that maybe God has other goals that Hewould like to accomplish while evil exists? For starters, He would like to have more peoplechoose heaven. If God prevented pain every time we got into trouble, then we would become the
most reckless, self-centered creatures in the universe. We would never have the powerful
learning experience of learning from suffering. In most cases bad fortune teaches while good
fortune deceives. Good fortune will deceive you into defining happiness in things like moneyand material abundance, which can be lost in a day as we have seen. Good health taken for
granted until bad news comes from the doctor. You cannot develop courage unless there is
danger. You cant develop perseverance unless you have an obstacles in your way. Compassionwould never be summoned if there were never anyone in pain or in need.

God over comes evil with good, hatred with love and depends upon us to accomplish this
most worthy of all goals -- sharing the good news of the Gospel. In Christian terminology the
church is considered to be His Bodyand by His we mean Jesus. We are to accomplish thosethings that Jesus would do if He were here. He gave us the abilities (healing, sharing the Gospel
and more) and it is our challenge to exercise those abilities by acting in faith believing we can do
be a true daughter or son of Jesus Christ as it is written in the Bible. We talk about our gifts anda calling to action but few actually try to put those abilities into action. It takes courage to stepout in faith and risk rejection (pain) when you share your faith (gain). Now days this is
especially true since faith has a lot of untruths and half-truths connected to it through popular
media. However its not a suggestion that Jesus made when He said follow me. You will notfind Jesus saying obey me, instead He said follow me. Its a motivation by love and respect
not mighty power.
Just as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, and death spread
to all men, because all sinned. (Romans 5:12) The Bible does not say that God punished the
human race for one mans sin, but that the nature of sin, namely my claim to my right to myselfentered into the human race through one man. The nature of sin is not immorality and
wrongdoing, but the nature of self-realization which leads us to say I am my own god. Placingour self above the moral authority of God may or may not result in bad behavior. It is the claimto my right to myself. Gods commandment of you shall have no other god before Me
includes us. This nature of self-realization is what Jesus looked at when met someone regardless
of their outward of appearance of good or evil. An example of this in action is when a rich man
sought to follow Jesus. Jesus said to him that he must go and sell all that he had then come andfollow Him. It was not the mans wealth it was his nature. Jesus saw that he placed more value
on his material possessions than God. Money is not bad, its the love of money that makes
people stumble. Sin is something we are born with and it can only be removed through theacceptance of redemption paid by the Cross of Christ. Our salvation has been purchased at a
very high price. At the Cross of Christ the entire human race was redeemed from the possibility
of damnation through the heredity of sin. God never holds anyone responsible for having theheredity of sin and no one is condemned because of it. Condemnation comes when I realize thatJesus Christ came to deliver me from this heredity of sin and I refuse to let Him. This is the
condemnation [critical moment] that the Light (Jesus) has come into the world and men loved
darkness rather than light...

So heres a tough question: Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?
First we need to challenge the definition of good people. We measure the word good by thestandards of bad people. Some people are better than others, but no one is really good especiallyin comparison to the ultimate standard of good -- God. We all have a natural tendency toward
selfishness. We all commit sins routinely. Its easier to be bad than good; its much more
natural to be selfish rather than generous. Thats why at the youngest age kids naturally grabthings and yell, Mine! Founding father James Madison said If men were angels, nogovernment would be necessary. The question is not why do bad things happen to good
people? but Why do good things happen to bad people? Good things have destroyed
people by enabling bad behavior.

In the final analysis God cannot violate our God given free will. He cannot force His free
creation to not sin. Forced freedom is a contradiction. Consider, God may have permitted evil in
order to defeat it. We have seen higher virtues be attained and stronger character built by peoplewho have been tested. Soul-building requires some pain. So, evil in this world actually serves a
good purpose in the end. Jesus faced overwhelming evil opposition yet He came out victorious
ultimately defeating death and sin in this world. Those who are called to follow Jesus and tomanifest Jesus with their life are called to lay down their life, to give up that which they cannotkeep for that which they cannot loose -- heaven.
Truth or Consequencesnot the game show
All paths leadto heavenis popular but not logical. All religions are exclusively uniqueexcept Christianity and Judaism who honor the same God and share the same Bible. All
religions except Christianity are based upon people doing something to earn a better outcome.
With Christianity no amount of doing anything earns salvation. It can only be accepted as a free
gift given to you by Jesus Christ. Your responsibility is to believe in Jesusperiod. Jesus plusNOTHING equals salvation. True Christianity is not a religion as much as it is an on-going
relationship with a living God called Jesus that lasts for all eternity.
So all religions can be wrong but they all cannot be right. All paths lead to heavenis
called universalism which is much easier to think about than the Christian version of heaven or
hell. Missing the mark has some dire consequences in the other religions as well. Universalismis a creation outside of the major religions. A valid measure of religious belief is the general
observable results of the practice of that religion. Based upon out-come, countries where
Christianity and Judaism are the dominate religions clearly the population has a better way oflife. Is it cause and effect? Is that Gods favor? What else could it be? Its not resources.
Consider that Israel has the same natural resources as their neighbors yet their society prospers as
their neighbors lack in basic needs. It is clearly better choices with resources they have to work
with. The freedom practiced and supported by Christians has benefits in creating government
and lifestyle. Freedom is very much a central theme of Jesus teaching as demonstrated in Himasking us to follow Him, not demanding. Freedom is the central source of prosperity.
You must accept Jesus Christ as having paid for your sins past present and future. What
does the Bible say about people who have never heard of Jesus? How do you accept someonewho you have no knowledge about? To every man is a measure of faith (Romans 12:3). The
earlier section discussed natural law and how right and wrong are in inherent in all people. God
is witnessed in His creation here on earth. The Native American, during the time of Jesus, couldexperience God in nature and see God in the world in which they lived. God is a God of justice
and has a compassionate heart to share the measure of faith with all people. It does not mean
that all people accept that measure of faith but it is available to all. We can express that inner
conscience as a God size hole in your heart that only God can fill. Those who knowingly rejectthe payment for trespasses offered by Jesus Christ death, burial and Resurrection must make
atonement on their own. This is something that appears to be hard to accomplish.
