Tenth Anniversary Capstone CarnivalWelcome

More than a decade ago, Dr. Ben Feinberg had a vision for a College-wide celebration of significant, culminating under-graduate capstone and other projects, and Capstone Carnival was born. Over the last decade, hundreds of students have looked forward to presenting their original substantive work at a gathering that provides the engagement with research, ideas, and creativity of an academic conference, and simulta-neously allows the entire Warren Wilson campus community to honor and applaud the exceptional work of our students.

Welcome to the tenth annual Capstone Carni-val. If you are presenting, we welcome the research, insights, and beauty of learning and performance that you will share; if you are here as a faculty member whose students will present, thank you for your dedication to bringing students’ best work to fruition; and if you are here as a participant, welcome. We hope that Capstone Carnival is the celebration that Ben envisioned for us all.

As the interim organizer of this year’s Capstone Carnival, I thank Ben Feinberg for his vision and leadership over the last decade, and President Lynn Morton for agree-ing to open this tenth anniversary Capstone Carnival. I also especially thank Bobby (Robbert) Trice for his skill, tenacity, and insight. He carried the bulk of the work for organizing this year’s Capstone Carnival. Thank you, Bobby.

Welcome!

Laura Vance
