What is it? • Television or TV is a telecommunication

medium used for transmitting sound with moving images in monochrome(black-and-white), or in color, and in two or three dimensions. It can refer to a television set, a television program, or the medium of television transmission. Television is a mass medium, for entertainment, education, news and advertising.

Digital Television• Digital television (DTV) is the

transmission of audio and video by digitally processed and multiplexed signal, in contrast to the totally analog and channel separated signals used by analog television. Digital TV can support more than one program in the same channel bandwidth.[1] It is an innovative service that represents the first significant evolution in television technology since color television in the 1950s.

Who invented the computer? Philo Taylor Farnsworth (August 19, 1906 – March 11, 1971) was an American inventor and television pioneer.[2] He made many contributions that were crucial to the early development of all-electronic television.[3] He is perhaps best known for his 1927 invention of the first fully functional all-electronic image pickup device (video camera tube), the "image dissector", as well as the first fully functional and complete all-electronic television system.

Led Television• LED (Light Emitting Diode): A semiconductor

device that produces light from electricity. LEDs are often used to backlight LCD displays, which results in a clearer picture.

• What does all of this mean for you? When it comes right down to it, the main difference between LCD and LED is that LED televisions are going to look better than other LCD screens. That's not to downplay how good an LCD HDTV can look, since the picture quality can be stunning, but there's no denying that there is, indeed, a difference between them. That said, there are other differences worth taking into account.
