• Strengths• Isolated• Pest Free• Variety of forest• Established tracks• Wide range of native birds• Ability to enhance the island, mould ability to do

what is best for the island• Natural

• Weaknesses• Weeds• Overgrown Tracks• Blocked Water tanks…Sandflies• Deer can get on island• Chance of introduced species• Needs more manpower • Needs longer camps = get more done

• Ecotourism• Could be possible if there was a permanent ranger to monitor

the tourists. • Limits to the number of people allowed on the island• Money from tourists goes back into conservation on the island• Strict quarantine for gear, people, clothes, footwear etc so that

new seeds aren’t introduced• What’s the point in having the island if it people can’t enjoy it?• Would give more support for conservation work – ranger and

money
