HIKING

The backcountry of the Inner Retreat, because of its elevation and location in the Rocky Mountains, presents unique challenges to those who are not familiar with the terrain and locale For this reason, only hikes au-thorized by The Summit Lighthouse will be allowed in the backcountry of the Inner Retreat from June 16 through July 18 You can learn more about hiking at the Information/Hospitality Tent, where you can also register for the July 6 hike

On July 6, the day after the conference, Maitreya Mountain is reserved for special guided hikes If you plan to join the hike, please register at the Information/Hospitality Tent by July 5 and pay the $5 fee to cover hike expenses Because of the rigors of the backcountry, high altitude, weather and wildlife (such as bears and mountain lions), The Summit Lighthouse and its authorized hiking guides have the latitude to determine whether a participant is fit for the pilgrimage to Maitreya Mountain or any other back-country hike on the property

If you plan to hike, please bring the following required gear: • a rain jacket with hood • at least one quart of drinking water • synthetic or wool sweater or jacket • broken-in hiking shoes or boots • sunscreen or protective hat/clothing • insect repellant • a sandwich or bag lunch

Summit University® Summer Seminar Tuesday, July 7 – Saturday July 11, 2015TEACHINGS OF THE ASCENDED MASTERS®

The Fire of InitiationEmbrace the Deep Mysteries of the Heart

with Lady Master Nada and the Hierarchs of the Ruby Ray Sanat Kumara, Gautama Buddha, Lord Maitreya and Jesus Christ

The ascended masters offer their students a profound path of spiritual growth First, you work on mastering the qualities of the seven rays, such as compassion, leadership, courage, self-control, tolerance and standing up for truth

Then, gradually, the nature of your tests and initiations begins to change More and more you are confronted with the deep issues of the heart that force you to make choices between what is real and unreal in yourself You encounter the tests of sacrifice, surrender, selflessness and service—and find yourself needing a new per-spective and new spiritual tools to answer the inner calling to come up higher as you journey back to God’s heart
