OUR VISION
CHAPTER 2013
Making and Nurturing Disciples of Jesus
Our 2020 Vision
1
Our Mission is to make and nurture disciples of Jesus.
Dynamic Worship To be a vibrant, unified worshipping community of 2,000 in multiple services, venues, and styles reaching our community in bold, creative, and caring ways. We will provide opportunities that foster sincere and fervent worship in our assemblies and throughout the week. Hebrews 10:24-25
Christ-Centered Relationships To foster deep, Christ-centered relationships through group life. In order to cultivate these relationships College Hills will invest in 200 Bible classes, LIFE Groups, support groups, and other opportunities for spiritual connection. John 13:34-35
Faithful Living To encourage every individual to nurture a life of faithful living. We will equip every person to cultivate practices that deepen his or her commitment to Jesus. We will empower every mom and dad to pray and read the Bible together with their children on a consistent basis and to have spiritual conversations at home through our Faith at Home Initiative. Deuteronomy 6:4-9
Gracious Serving To be a grace-oriented church loving the broken and the hurting. We have all received God’s grace, so we will pass that grace to others through numerous ministries and services that look beyond ourselves into the community. Matthew 25:45
Passionate Outreach To be actively sharing the good news of Jesus both locally and globally resulting in daily baptisms. Locally we will encourage members to invite friends to life-giving fellowship, equip them to share the message of faith, and empower them to embody Jesus in all they do. Globally we will partner with effective long-term mission efforts and send at least 200 members on short-term mission efforts. Acts 1:8
Our Purpose
In 2012 we declared the mission of this church to be a family of faith seeking to make and nurture disciples of Jesus. Our desire is for every person here to become more fully committed to Jesus in all that they do.
We also set out a vision for how we want to accomplish this mission. Through avenues of Dynamic Worship, Christ-Centered Relationships, Faithful Living, Gracious Serving, and Passionate Outreach we believe that we can all increasingly be transformed into the image of Jesus. We are excited to be united around this mission and vision.
We are also excited to have each family member of faith helping College Hills to accomplish this mission. Everyone here brings a unique set of abilities and resources that God can use as He fulfills His dreams and plans for this church. Inside this booklet you will see just how God empowered us to fulfill that mission last year and how we hope He continues to do so in 2013. We ask that you continue to be in prayer as we journey and work together as a church family to fulfill the work of God here in Wilson County and beyond.
Sincerely, College Hills Church of Christ Elders and Ministers

DYNAMIC WORSHIP
Elaine Estep The changes made by our elders and leaders at College Hills in 2012 are evidence that they are striving to meet the needs of every soul that enters our building. I am encouraged to know that whomever I invite to worship with us can find a place at College Hills — from the youngest to the eldest, from the gifted to the special needs, from the seasoned Christian to those who are finding God for the first time. Our worship time on Sunday at College Hills is the first step of the week to help us continue our walk with Jesus the rest of the week.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on
toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up
meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but
let us encourage one another -
and all the more as you see the
Day approaching.” ~ Hebrews 10:24-25

The Tippetts 2012 was a time of great spiritual growth for us. We ended one chapter in our spiritual journey - saying goodbye to a LIFE group family that in 10 years helped shape us into better people. In ending that chapter, we opened another – branching out and co- leading a new LIFE group. Surprisingly, an easy “yes” attributed mainly to the time spent with Godly people who, without a doubt, prepared us for the next stage in our journey of faith. We are blessed beyond words with the new group that God has hand-picked for us. We hope and pray that God will bless us with the tools needed to help build and strengthen the faithful foundation for others as He has so graciously built for us.

Rachel Grant Youthreach has been a huge part of my life for a long time, and I cannot imagine where I would be without it. Youthreach has provided many examples for me to look up to including Johnny and Vicki Markham, Lauren King, all of the interns, and Amy Hamilton. This past summer, I grew more in my faith than ever before, and I truly believe that I would not have experienced this growth had it not been for Youthreach. This year at Impact, it really hit me that I can be a light for God no matter where I am. I have strived this year to share God's love everywhere I go. It is so comforting to know that I can come to Youthreach and have support from my friends at church.

Jim & Annabelle Robinson Over the years we have watched several thousand men, women, and children attend the School Store because they were in need of school supplies and clothing. We have endeavored to show them kindness and love, as well as provide them with material goods. Just as God has shown grace and love to us, we hope to pass on this message to the people in Lebanon.

Long-Term Mission Partnerships
Jeff H. Ray One of the greatest joys God gives us is the joy we get when we help someone who has nowhere else to turn. Building houses in Mexico & Honduras are life changing events for both the builders and the new residents. It's also such a blessing to see the faces of the families who come through our medical & dental clinic in Honduras. These friends may only get to see a doctor or dentist once a year.

KINGDOM RESOURCES
13
In order for College Hills to make and nurture disciples we first and foremost need God empowering us because God is our ultimate resource. However, we also need each and every family member generously giving of themselves, his or her time, and money. All of these work together to make a kingdom difference here in Wilson County and beyond.
Inside this booklet and below you can see how your generosity, by the power of God, made a difference in 2012. On the next page we want to show you how we plan to use our resources to continue fulfilling our mission and vision further in 2013.
