Condor, with its low cab-over-engine design, is built
for high duty-cycle work applications like commercial
and residential refuse service, home fuel oil
delivery, construction and aircraft refueling.
The Condor cab stands apart from the competition.
The exclusive cab design features lightweight
aluminum and crush-resistant composite materials
that decrease chassis tare weight and increase
payload. The roomy, ergonomically designed interior
offers more operator comfort and increases safety and
productivity.
The low cab step-in height and conveniently placed
grab handles make it easy to get in and out of the
cab — a major benefit in urban applications.
Condor’s versatility provides choices for automated
and manual refuse applications. Right-hand steer,
dual steer, and right-hand stand-up steer are
available to help reduce cycle times and increase
productivity.
A setback front axle, along with an impressive
45-degree wheel cut, provides excellent
maneuverability and ideal weight distribution.
Both mid-range and heavy-duty diesel engines from
Caterpillar and Cummins are available in a broad
range of horsepower and torque ratings.
A wide variety of transmissions are available — with
multiple PTO locations.
The optional front mounted pumps and PTOs can be
mounted under the cab in a secure, protected
location, eliminating the need for a frame rail
extension beyond the front bumper.
Clean frame rails and a clean back-of-cab design
simplify body mounting.

The Sterling Condor has been designed to offer many features
not usually found on low cab-forward trucks:
• A flat floor on both sides of the cab for improved comfort
and safety
• Spacious enough for a three-person driver/passenger crew
• An adjustable tilt/telescopic steering column (standard)
• Optional heavy-duty air conditioning system helps keep
operators cool on even the hottest days
• Six defroster outlets and optional dual auxiliary defroster
fans, positioned across the full windshield, help ensure
excellent visibility
• Electric powered windows (standard)
• Ample storage space, including convenient cup holders
Left-hand steer is standard; right-hand steer, dualsteer and stand-up, right-hand steer are optional.
Column-mounted gauges canbe easily read even when thesteering wheel is tilted.

Workers who get in and out of their truck all day long will appreciate Condor’s low-cab design.
Automatic “neutral” with work brake is designed to allow the engineto return to idle speed with less than a one-second lag.
A flat cab floor provides more space inside the cab for driver and crew —a benefit for workers who need to get in and out of the vehicle quickly and safely.

Ten Hours a Day…Six Days a Week
Condor is built for a high duty-cycle work week in
applications that make severe demands on cab, drivetrain
and chassis components.
Single front axles are available from 14.6k–20k and tandem
front axles up to 40k. Single rear axles are available from
19k–30k pounds and tandem rears from 40k–70k.
1164 square inch radiators are standard, along with
TufTrac®—the Sterling high-articulation, no-maintenance
vocational suspension. Optional suspensions are available
up to 40k front and 65k rear, AirLiner™ rear suspension is
offered in 21k and 23k single and 40k and 46k tandem.
Because we believe no two customers’ operations are the
same, Sterling offers extensive custom-engineered options and
configurations. We engineer just the right truck for your job,
so you can get it done faster and safer. Condor’s cab is made of lightweightaluminum and composite materialswhich decrease chassis tare weightand increase payload.

The cab tilts 42 degrees, providing easy access to the engineand drivetrain components.

To accommodate the toughest vocational applications, heavy-dutyframes with front frame extensions (not featured in photo), integraland bolt-on, can be spec’d in a variety of sizes.
The Sterling Condor offers many features not usually found on low cabforward trucks: a standard tilt/telescopic steering column, ample storagespace (including convenient cup holders), flat floors for safety/comfortand room enough for a three-person driver/passenger crew.
