What is Hanging of the Greens? Decorating the sanctuary and Wesley Worship Center for Advent, we gather for: Fluffing bows, placing lights and chrismons on the trees, hanging garlands in the choir loft, balcony and on the rails in the wings, and decorating the Advent wreaths. If you are unable to attend, but have access to fresh greenery such as magnolia, pit-tosporum or ivy, please bring it to the church on Sunday or Monday as early in the day as possible

Advent Offering

Collect your daily pocket change and other offerings during the season of Advent and bring to church on Sunday, December 18th. The Advent Offering will benefit the Good Samaritan Fund. Most recently, this fund has been used to assist with electric bills and medical needs. The account is nearly empty and depends on your generosity to help meet the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Monthly Mission in Motion : Flood Recovery During November & December we are asking for your help in collecting

non-perishable food items such as:

Christmas is coming and so are our PECANS. They should be here very soon. Watch the Steeple for notice that the large bags of pecan halves have arrived and are for sale. The Lautrelle Merchant Circle thanks you for your support.

Shepherd’s Child Program & Angel Tree Please note, there have been a few changes to the program this year. The fellowship time with the children begins immediately following worship on Sunday, December 11 and culminates with a celebration at Johnny Rockets with members of First Church Youth. The parents of the Shepherd’s Child children will have the opportunity to purchase $100 gift cards for $10 again this year. Your donations will be greatly appreciated. Any questions contact Ron or Jackie Carpenter. In conjunction with our Shepherd’s Child program, an Angel tree will be located in the church office area. You may stop by and choose a name, shop & bring unwrapped gifts to the church before December 12.
