CHAPTER ONE
The day dawn brightly for the people on the track as the race
across the finish line, aloud cheer and ovation roar from the crowd. Then
cheering for the other athletes on the track continues, but a curious thing
happened, to those that cross the line they were instant transformed, firstly
their appearance changed and was like those of people in the stand, and they
disappear for sometimes, later to join the spectators. Secondly, all the
spectators are attired in the same white shinning muslin like material in a
Japanese robe design. Thirdly, every one was cheering and supporting all
athletes there were no favorites and no booing of any type, each was praised
and encouraged no matter how bad or good they were.
The amazing aspect of this event is that most of the athletes
were not aware of the cheering and shouting on the stand, also the dressing
of some of them is quite absurd for the race. While some are in the regular
track wears, others were attired in clothes more suited for office or a party.
This is not to say that, there was no rule governing the race, but that it is
open to every one that pledge allegiance to the king and volunteered to serve
him, automatically enters the race. But, those who read the book of
instruction and follow it are the ones, running the race with the right attire.
What type of racing event is this, you may want to ask? It is
certainly unlike any you ‘ve heard of, it is more like a marathon in stamina
requirements, like hurdles in terms of obstacles and hindrance encountered
by runners, like sprint in zeal of athletes and a relay in that team spirit is
needed at certain time. Where in heaven is this? You may also ask. You are
quite right it is the heavenly stadium of life!
If, you are a new comer like myself, then a view of this stadium
in the sky is like a giant coliseum rising from cloudy and misty columns

filled with innumerable crowd, whose main occupation is to praise and
encourage the weary runners and to bow down and worship the most high at
the sound of the golden trumpet. All the spectators have one time or the
other ran in that race, only those who ended well were qualified to be a
witness of the race. Outside, the stadium, people move about on the street
smiling and waving, but a peaceful and serene atmosphere prevail, just like
in the stadium, orderliness is visible in every action and move.
A close look at some faces in the crowd, reveals notable
patriarchs of the bible, Pa Noah, with is white flowing beard looked so much
like PA Enoch, except for his booming voice, which must have become so
loud due to years of shouting and warning the people before the great flood,
unlike the smoothing voice of Enoch who kept a close walk with God, both
were on the feet with fist raised high cheering, one of the runner, Chan Lo
who was straining hard to overcome the obstacle in his path,
“ You can make it , don’t look down, help is on the way ” both scream on
top of the voices, Lo , oblivion to their cry stumbled and fall, a loud gasps
and sharp cry made both to look back, to see Tamar, Judah’s daughter- in –
law, who just came in sitting down, beside them. “ don’t worry, I am sure ,
he will soon get back on his feet, Mary the mother of James and John
whispered and put a comforting arm around her , only for both of them to
jump up and shout a big welcome and cheers for Cordoba who after many
years of faithful service , crossed the finish line.
The trumpet sounds of welcome, joined with rejoicing, and crowd
was the first Cordoba saw as he was transformed, he saw himself in the same
white shinning robe every one else was wearing, and he began to recognize
some faces, one his great grand mother, Luisa, who hugged him, welcome
son , I have long for this moment , your pa And ma are in the temple, I will

take you to meet them .” I’m so glad I made it, thanks be to God ...Hey, is
that not my amigos, Pablo, Carlos, you are here too’.
